[6.0] "I didn't like Edge very much before he was forced to retire, but I like him quite a bit since his return, so it kind of averages out. I thought he was pretty cringe inducing most of the time in the first half of his career; now I think he's consistently compelling on the mic. Plus, I think he as a dope look and I dig the Old Man Logan vibe."

"9/10 Without the injuries he would have been easily one of the all time Greatest. Best entrance and song. Entertainer pur sang and always puts the fans and the show first. He is from a era we all miss. Yes he is maybe to old right now but all of the greatest were eventually. Its sad to see them wrestle when they are to old and it is looking sluggish. But it the end you should enjoy when it lasts."

[6.0] "I've never been a particularly big fan of Edge, but have to admit at his peak was a great character and is also a good promo. Him and Christian are a legendary tag team. As far.as his in ring, always found most of his ordinary one v one matches without gimmicks to be a bit unspectacular."

[7.0] "Someone who I like substantially less than most people who love him. That's not to say he's a bad wrestler, he's a good one, it's just that I don't love most of his match catalogue. However, he can be a phenomenal promo on his day."

[7.0] "I don't know why but I never took to Edge like a lot of wrestling fans did. I was a much bigger fan of his tag team career than his singles, never warmed to him as a singles competitor. Always felt he lacked something. Now after his comeback in 2020 I actively dislike him. He is a selfish veteran who puts himself before business"

[3.0] "He shouldn't have returned to wrestling as everything he's done since coming back has been forgettable and mediocre. He has been too overprotective of his overrated career, he hasn't been losing enough as a part-timer, protecting his legacy at the expense of younger talent and failing to elevate other wrestlers consistently. This is damaging his reputation as he is prioritizing nonsense over high-stakes matches but he's had some highlights though it felt like nostalgia acts rather than must-see TV for the fans. At this stage of his career, his over reliance on risky spots, his role in elevating others versus self-preservation has diluted his aura. While he achieved success before, these elements show a late career marked by significant downsides and instances where personal decisions didn't serve him or the industry optimally as he is overstaying his welcome as a professional wrestler."

[4.0] "Among the most boring & uninspired heavily pushed wrestlers from 2000 onwards. Outside of the TLC matches the match catalogue is sparse on any sort of quality match, particularly straight up, non-stipulation singles matches. This isn't surprising because at best, he has always been a mediocre worker who was over far more due to his look, charisma, and character than any sort of ability of emotion he was able to generate with his wrestling. On top of being a mediocre wrestler, he has consistently proven to be a poor draw from both a ticket sales and ratings standpoint, despite years upon years of being heavily pushed in both the WWE and now AEW. His AEW in particular has been downright awful, and he is an absolute blight on the product."

[10.0] "Before the Rated R Superstar Gimmick, I thought he was going to be a mid-carders for life, as he was a good worker but pretty bland personality wise since the start of his solo run. But his transformation made him into a true icon and he grew more confident on the mic over the years. Combine that with his great tag team run with Christian, and even with Randy Orton, and he deserves nothing less than a 10"

[10.0] "Has to be considered as one of the greatest superstars of all time. True definition of a legend, and his comeback has been very inspiring."

[10.0] "For starters arguabley the greatest theme song in the history of wrestling. The inaugural Money in the Bank winner, epic championship wins, and Reigns, one of the greatest returns in wrestling history, one of the best Royal Rumble wins of all time, one of the greatest matches in the streak we ever saw, iconic feuds with all of the 2000s greatest wrestlers, arguabley the greatest match in WWE history (The TLC match). What didn't Edge do in WWE that wasn't awesome? One of the few guys I can think of who went to AEW and didn't really do anything to help their career. Don't get me wrong very happy he got to keep wrestling for a major company. But like Moxley, Danielson, Joe, and Christian all did great work that helped to further their legacy whereas Edge kinda just exists in AEW for me."

[7.0] "One of the most overrated guys of the 21st century. He's a plunder match merchant, as a singles worker he's not compelling as a face and boring as a heel controlling the match. Best in tag scenarios and hardcore matches. Good look, and decent mic skills (though I think he's overrated there too). Best thing about him is his godly theme song."

[7.0] "Edge has never been one of my favourites and I cant say Im particularly fond of his wrestling style, but I can appreciate his qualities, I don't appreciate his spear though. Might be recency bias but I never really think other wrestlers come out of feuds with him looking more like a star, especially not since his 2020 return."

[8.0] "On this day, I see clearly what I want to say about him. Edge is someone that always caught my eye on WWE and specially now at AEW, not for the way he wrestle. Actually, in ring stuff is the worst part of him, by far. His biggest attributes came from his technique and management to make the crowd always on his hands. His best performances was always as a heel, but since he return from his soon retirement, he has been delivering pretty well as a face. Maybe, he already needs to retire because his body is pretty fucked up, but, I don't know. Some guys need to learn when it is the moment to stop."

[7.0] "I'll give him a 10 when he retires but since returning from his leg injury he's been drizzling shits. Getting the worst out of just about everyone and being in the main event scene when he shouldn't be. It doesn't help the fact that he's old and has obviously declined bell to bell wise a ton. All time, legendary. Currently, not good at all."

[7.0] "A solid worker who's retirement and return story is a very inspirational thing. While he has been fantastic at points, especially in the tag division, there have also been some notable underperformances, and unfortunately I don't think his finisher has really suited him at any point in his career outside of the one ladder spot. He just... doesn't really land it very well in comparison to others who do the move."

[6.0] "I don't know what happened to him in AEW I thought he would shine even further their because it's a less controlled environment than the WWE and he was having some great performances on his later years their but he definitely fell off with AEW"

[8.0] "Edge is one of WWEs best heels and is a legend, but I'm still 50/50 with his AEW run. He's had some highlights but has had bad highlights. I still love edge regardless of his choice to go to AEW"

[10.0] "Edge has had a great career in pro wrestling. A man in his early fifties that can still go at a top level, despite having a neck injury (and other various injuries) in his career can do what he does. Edge is one of the best ever. In the mid to late 2000's, he was the best heel in WWE and all of pro wrestling."

[10.0] "I'm not gonna lie, I cried when Edge retired in 2011, one of the saddest days for me as a professional wrestling fan. Anyways, Edge is one of my personal favorite wrestlers in history. A man who's accomplished so much in historic career, competing mostly in WWE until in recent years where he decided to see if the grass is greener over in AEW. He took off as a tag team guy with his, real life, best friend Christian, taking part in a very influential run as a duo and rivalry with The Hardyz and Dudleys. Edge eventually turned to a singles competitor, his run in 2001 was so well received that he won the WON award Most Improved (if that means anything to you). He also took part in the "SmackDown Six" where he had amazing matches involving Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, Eddie & Chavo Guerrero. He took time off to heal from his (first of many) neck injuries, he did come back and hit his stride in the mid 2000s when he was paired with Lita, one of the best on screen heel couples, where he feuded with Matt Hardy, then went on to become the first Money in the Bank winner and cashed in successfully against John Cena for the WWE Championship, one of the best moments in history. His run in the late 2000s is among the best heel runs of all time, Edge is so natural at being a heel that you couldn't make him a face during this time. He did retired from another neck injury in 2011, and was out for years until 2020 when he returned to WWE to compete in the Royal Rumble match, one of my favorite moments in my life as a wrestling fan, it felt too good to be true. While his return run in WWE has had some hiccups, it was a mostly good run thanks to his feud with Seth Rollins and still showcasing he can go. I've been enjoying his AEW run, his feud with Christian was great and I was really enjoying his TNT Championship reign, sad that his injury has been preventing him from being back on track, but let's hope he'll shake off the ring rust from that injury and have a killer run that I believe he's still got left in him. Overall, I love Edge ever since day 1, one of my all time favorite guys, no doubt in my mind that he's one of the GOATs. I mean, what's cooler than being known as "The Rated R Superstar"?"

[7.0] "Edge has a lot of ups and downs for me. From 1999 to 2008 or so, he was a huge favorite of mine. I thought the tail end of his WWE run was underwhelming and his 2020-2023 return kind of was as well. I enjoyed the Christian feud quite a bit in AEW but haven't necessarily loved his run there either."

[6.0] "The biggest Rated-R superstar of all-time.His segments with Lita was gold.Most of his feuds and matches are legendary.He didn't put over young talent which is a bad thing about him.He getting kicked out of Judgement Day didn't make any sense."

[7.0] "After returning, Edge really worked hard on himself, he got much better and improved his ring skills. Thanks to his much more muscular build, his spear in his execution no longer looks as crappy as it did when he was young. But I really don't like that in 2021, Edge nearly dominated his feud with Rollins. Rollins is a solid star of his era, but losing the feud to Edge significantly downgraded Rollins for the near future. Edge is capable of putting on a good match, but I don't like that he took so many unnecessary wins for himself. And the "Judgment Day" faction under his leadership has mostly downgraded almost all the wrestlers in it. Overall, Judgment Day is probably the worst faction in wrestling history I've seen (at least until Liv Morgan joined). In AEW, he looks completely out of place, and his feuds against Christian Cage (who is a much worse wrestler than Edge) come across as total filler, making it not really worth watching. Overall, he's a great wrestler, deserves respect for working through injuries, but I don't like how he took all the best opportunities for himself, and it's unclear why. He apparently didn't win titles, but for some reason, he kept defeating wrestlers who needed a push more."

[7.0] "Edge really cut his teeth in the tag team division working with Christain as part of the "Edge and Christain" tag team. There had been several attempts to branch him out on is own but none of those really took off until he turned heel in the mid 2000s and was a huge beneficiary of the shoot/work/shoot/work angle between himself, Matt Hardy and Lita. Even when he got his hands on the WWE Championship, he was a guy who never really felt like the "The Guy" just the guy who works with the guy who draws the money. Yes, he was an 7 time World Champion but none of those reigns were particularly lengthy and it always felt like Edge was playing the role of the upper-mid card guy who could step in and work with the Champion when needed. Thats not a bad thing either, Edge is a still someone whose highly accomplished within the industry, outside of the title picture, we have someone who could play and work as both a babyface or a conniving heel and do it insanely well. We also have someone who was a proven commodity in the tag team division and could also work in the mid-card. While I never found his promos to be particularly noteworthy, he was someone who had charisma, size and the athleticism to become someone to be reckoned within wrestling."

[5.0] "Solid but unmemorable in any way in the ring. The master of the 'I hate this town' super generic promo as a heel and that unfortunately is his better side. I really don't enjoy his work as a face, his promos are very corny and his character work is all over the place. He does heel things while being a face and expects people to pop for them because he's creating a moment or whatever. It comes across as very self-indulgent and makes me want to skip his segments."

[5.0] "Adam Copeland is alright. His time as Edge is obviously his highlight, so that's what I'll refer to him as. Edge is solid in the ring. Not super exciting but is capable on putting on a good match. His promos were above average. He's good but not very good. What's made me give him a low rating has been his return to wrestling. My word, what a shit wrestler he's been since his return. His wrestling has been subpar, he's capable of turning up a notch, but not by much. His promos are boring and bland, which follows his dreadful character work. I'm glad he hasn't been hogging the main event too much. By God, he'd be stinking it up."

[4.0] "Prime Edge was a solid 9 as the Rated R Superstar. That era was him firing on all cylinders with the character work, promo ability, and match psychology all clicking. But the rest of his career reveals a pattern of WWE's machine backing him more than a guy undeniably earning every accolade. He and Christian were given the spotlight as the top team during a stacked era, and once he went solo, he was booked to go over the likes of Benoit, Angle, Eddie, and Orton in ways that sometimes felt more about positioning than performance. His face runs never clicked. Every time they tried to push him as a babyface, it flopped to the point where they had to turn him back heel until that final run, where again he got favorable booking despite lukewarm crowd reactions. The return at nearly 50 could've been a great chance to elevate others -- instead, he racked up wins over people like AJ Styles, Finn Bálor, and even Sheamus. The only major loss was to Roman, and even that wasn't clean. Sure, you can win and still elevate talent, but that's not what's been happening. It's been more about preserving Edge's aura than giving the next generation meaningful momentum. If AEW is going to be his final chapter, the hope is that reuniting with Christian gives them a feel-good run but also finally puts the focus on helping the younger roster get over. Because frankly, he's gotten more than enough wins for a guy in his 50s coming back from a broken neck."

[7.0] "I don't know where to start with this, because it's just how I feel about him. I don't think he ever was the greatest or near the greatest in the ring. From sloppy moves to moves that seemed "fake" as hell. Weak offense and a really "dud" character work sometimes, there's a lot to dislike about Adam Copeland. I can still recognize that he was competent in the ring still, and heel Edge was iconic. I just do not give him the same credit as the majority of people."

[10.0] "Edge in his prime was the best wrestler I'd ever seen. The greatest heel ever, very few people were able to incite a crowd reaction like prime heel Edge. Edge Will go down as one of the most legendary wrestlers ever, and for me, not only is he the greatest heel ever, He is the greatest wrestler of all time!"

[9.0] "great wrestler who has been in many incredible matches. amazing look and athleticism. however, i can't class him as one of the best. his moveset was not quite iconic and his finisher (weak spear) never looked that good. add to that, his less that convincing mic skills as a face. his run from 2005 to 2009 was excellent, but i feel that for some reason he never quite reached his potential as an all time great. i'm being harsh, but i feel that he doesn't quite make it to legendary status."

[9.0] "Sexton Hardcastle is one of the best Canadian wrestlers outside of the Hart Family Lineage. He really understands how to get emotion out of fans. It's a real shame he lost so many years of his career to a neck injury but I'm happy for him that he can finish his career on his terms. I do wish he had a real farewell story in his time in WWE but going out in Canada against one of your best friends in the business is an ending most people can only dream of"

[9.0] "Man, Edge (or Cope, I guess) is one of those guys that just sticks with you. I grew up watching him and Christian in TLC matches, and back then he felt like one of the coolest guys in wrestling. Once he went solo it took a little while, but that Rated R Superstar run was good. He knew how to get you invested in his matches whether as a heel or a babyface. The feud with Cena alone solidified him as an all time great. His return in 2020 was one of the most emotional pops I've ever seen, and the Rollins trilogy proved he still had it. That said, the AEW run has been kind of weird. I'm happy he's getting to end things on his terms, but the booking hasn't been working, and I do wish he'd help more younger talent get over. Still, at the end of the day, he's a legend. Not the best in-ring technician, but as a character, storyteller, and presence? He's one of the most memorable faces in wrestling."

[10.0] "You think you know him... On this day, I see clearly, that Edge deserves a 10. He's the rated R superstar!"

[10.0] "Only rating him on his WWE run as I haven't kept up with his AEW run. Edge was one of the key stars of 2000s WWE. He had a great tag team with close friend and storyline brother Christian with legendary matches with the Dudleys and the Hardys. After Edge and Christian broke up, Edge became a main player, having great matches with Kurt Angle, John Cena, Matt Hardy, etc. His comeback run from 2020-2024 was pretty good, being the leader of the original Judgement Day. Edge has had a career worth watching."

[7.0] "Again, i'm only writing this because it won't let me rate it because unless I comment cuz I'm in the minority. I have fairly enjoyed Edge throughout the years. Not really big on him but he's pretty good. Of course his late ruthless agression and early pg era work is amazing. And Attitude Era tag team work which revolutionized the division."

[7.0] "great entrance wrestler, his return at the rumble is one of the greatest wrestling moments of all time but his return has really been wasted, doesn't put anyone over and is trying to prove he can still have epic matches when that's really not something he ever did in his first run."

[4.0] "To preface I am not someone who thinks wrestling is always about putting the next guy over but with every wrestler should eventually know when the time is right to lose. In the case of Adam "Cope" Copeland the end of his WWE stint and all of his AEW one so far, it's definitely hampered all of the storylines he's in. The likes of not putting Finn Balor over at WM39, is an example of a guy who "just wants to help the younger guys" but refuses to lose and when he does it's never clean or him taking a pin and he got away with it for a long time with his nice guy act but people are starting to see through it now. He's had some of the best matches of his career since coming back from his injury in general but to me that just makes me disappointed to what we could have ended up with... EDIT: It appears Copey wanted to put Balor over but didn't have final say so I will bump up a point for him."

[6.0] "Sadly I'm too young to have experienced him in his prime. I only really know the Edge past his return and he doesn't do anything for me. 6 points out of clips and matches from once upon a time but he really doesn't move me in a single way. Also he's often named as an all-timer but the fact is that this word is thrown around way too much nowadays. The fact that he is working on THIS level while being 50 (! ) years old is incredibly impressive, however."

[2.0] "Okay...I know this is a harsh rating and due to tribalism, let me just say that this has nothing to do with any of his runs in AEW, in WWE or the Revolution main event. I didn't see the match and I am not here to gang up on him like the WWE tribals and I am here to give you my genuine opinion. On the mic? Man, no one touches Edge. Character work, no one touches him. But man...in ring. I have seen forty Edge matches, 40. And in those 40, there is only one that I can say he had a true standout performance that impressed me and that is with Seth Rollins at MSG and with Seth Rollins in general. Beyond that, I have never seen Edge have a performance that truly surprised me. He is a very eh wrestler, he understands the basic's in ring but I haven't seen him do anything truly extraordinary. Yes, for a time I had him as a 10 but the more I went through his match catalogue the more I realized this mf can't wrestle. He's not very good in the ring. But again on the mic and in terms of character, he is flawless but out of a what? Twenty Five Year Career he has had 1 great, truly exceptional performance."

[4.0] "One of the most overrated wrestlers of all time he is not that good in the ring not that good on the microphone skills he's only great days was in the tag team division in the attitude era but as a single competitor he is so mid I don't know way people like him he can't wrestle that good in a single match with no social type or condition he best matches was always ladder and hell in a cell or hardcore but unfortunately he still wrestle until now and we all see how bad he is and how he catch all the youngsters chances"

[5.0] "Adam Copeland is certainly one of the biggest names in the wrestling industry. His run as Edge is some of the best stuff you'll ever see from a wrestler and his return to wrestling is one of the greatest ever. That being said, he's in an all time low in his carrer right now. His run in AEW has been horrible. The crowd likes him, but he's being booked like crap. He doesn't need to be in the title picture in this day and age. And his name is Cope now........ There aren't many worst name changes in the business. Even though I have a lost of respect for him, his work right now is not good. If I were to give his whole carrer a rating, it'd be a 9. But right now, he's a 5."

[10.0] "Giving Edge anything other than a 10 feels like trying too hard to find something to complain about. Even in his early years in the WWF it was impressive watching him in the ring. Kid me was a huge fan of Edge."

[7.0] "While Edge (Cope) impressively showcases his talent in 2025, it's crucial to nurture emerging stars. I believe he could thrive even more by stepping aside in some feuds, allowing new talent to shine and elevate the competition. However, his all-time career would be 9/10."

[10.0] "Edge always stood out to me in the best way possible, maybe it was the striking long blonde hair or his over-exaggerated mannerisms, I've always been one to gravitate towards Edge. I think the only down part of his career has been his recent time in AEW, hell even his arrival feud with Christian over there was awesome. Whether you talk about Brood Edge, the tag team with Christian, Badass face Edge from 01-04, or his most iconic gimmick, the rated R Superstar, Edge was always given an inch, and time after time would take a mile. I haven't even talked about arguably the greatest wrestling theme ever in Metalingus either yet too. Just wish that he and Cena had more time to feud together, that had the potential to be the Ruthless Aggression version of the Stone Cold-Rock rivalry."

[6.0] "Completely a product of Vincent Kennedy McMahon and WWE, Cope or as he was formerly known as, Edge is one of the biggest examples of how good things might turn out for you if you're at the right place at the right time. After establishing himself as a tag team wrestler partnering up with Christian, he slowly progressed into a solid midcarder. The mischiveous alliance he formed with Randy Orton did wonders for both his career and Randy's. During the late Ruthless Aggression era he was handpicked as the antidote to family friendly good guy John Cena. His feud against Cena, not only led to the birth of one of the greatest wrestling monikers of all time but also made Cope into the househould name we know of today. The time between this great heel run and his first retirement from wrestling was pretty forgettable. His return after almost a decade away was a feel-good moment for all. What followed it was not great though. It wasn't about the quality of his matches, as he delivered most of the time. It wasn't about his promos, although he's not that great on the stick, he can cut a good promo. It was about how he almost always won and never put a single person over. Even Hulk Hogan lost some matches cleanly. Sure, Cope lost a couple matches too but go back and watch them. It's either an outside interference, a low-blow etc. Even in his great I Quit match against Finn Balor, it took four Judgment Day members to threaten him with his wife Beth Phoenix with chairs to say "I quit! ". Six months later, he beat Finn Balor at WrestleMania and killed The Demon gimmick once and for all. When he jumped ship to AEW, expectations were high. After all, AEW lost the only draw they ever had a couple weeks prior to Cope's arrival and people thought he could be a breath of fresh air for the company. They were wrong. Cope instantly got inserted into a title feud with Christian and eventually won the TNT title. His forgettable title run came to an abrupt end after he broke his leg attempting a spot no 25 year old veteran would even think about. Upon his return, once again he got inserted into a title feud, but this time it's for the world title. We're five years into his second run and he still hasn't put anyone over cleanly. As a side note, his match versus PAC was the worst match I've seen this year so far, so his in-ring work is getting worse too."

[10.0] "Edge has had an incredible ability to evolve and excel at every stage of his career. As one-half of an iconic tag team with Christian, he helped create some of the funniest and most charismatic moments on the mic, while delivering countless classic matches that defined an era. Transitioning into a singles star, Edge became the ultimate foil to John Cena--a "Green Goblin"-like nemesis who thrived in making every rivalry feel personal and unforgettable. His emotional return to WWE in 2020, after a near-decade-long retirement, remains one of the greatest comebacks in wrestling history. Even in AEW, despite some mishandling, Edge is still a spectacle to watch because of who he is--a true legend whose presence alone commands attention and respect."

I cant really knock his career, to me he's had brilliant characters, brilliant runs, brilliant in-ring work, has a love for the business, the only thing which I'll critique him for is for him having quite rubbish ideas, from his vision of the Judgement Day to... Cope, I wouldn't trust him running a show. From the amazing rivalry with Cena where he cashed in Money In The Bank, to his destiny feud with Christian, to having the best ever WWE Saudi Arabia match with Seth Rollins to his electric returns in 2010, 2020 and 2023, to a whole heap of other things, Adam Copeland is an all-timer wrestler. If you don't agree...then cope with it."
