He also has no charisma. There has to be something about him in the locker room. If I had to guess it's most likely an attitude problem. I'm purely speculating but that's usually the case with someone like this. I think the only reason he's avoided getting released is because WWE has forgotten he's on the roster at all."

He often plays it safe, which makes his matches forgettable. If he wants to stand out, he needs to add some flair and creativity to his wrestling style. It would be great to see him take some risks and really showcase what he can do. Absolutely nothing about the 36 year old says world champion...ever."

He is a natural heel and I think he can be a star with the right push. He has good size and works well in the ring. I never expected his run in Chae U to be this long. I expected him to turn on them. Its fine for NXT but I think his potential is higher than that group."

[10.0] "Duke Hudson is a former world champion in Australia and is now (FINALLY) a champion in NXT. His face turn was the perfect thing to get him over, even if he had heelish motives at the beginning. I hope for a long title run and maybe a singles run down the road?"

[9.0] "After making occasional appearances in NXT, he became a featured character once the show rebranded. Initially, he was given a poker gimmick and I thought it sucked, but as soon as he lost the hair vs hair match against Grimes and dropped the poker gimmick, he's been great. Even when he was saddled with a hideous love square storyline that seemingly went on forever, his star managed to shine. He's really good in the ring, a real hard hitter who once went toe to toe with WALTER in a short, but excellent slobberknocker of a match. All of his offense is well worked and looks impactful and he's a good seller. He's also super charismatic, great at comedy, with his facial expressions and witty lines and he's excellent on the mic, along with Santos Escobar he's the best talker on the current NXT roster. He doesn't necessarily have a standout look, but the way he carries and positions himself override that and him constantly mentioning his height as part of his heel persona is great. All in all, Duke is a real all-rounder who should be doing a lot more than what he's more recently been reduced to, which is appearing every other week or so to rile up a babyface, then quickly do the job. If used right Duke could be a star."

His look is not that bad and he definitely gives off the vibes of a star, but something seems missing, and it might just be a lack of an extra kick in his in-ring work, there's little to no intensity in his matches, a lot of wasted movement. He could definitely be a star, and has all the tools."

I could forgive his boring matches if his character was good but his character just feels so amateur and out of place. He is not boring enough to make me turn of the show, but boring enough to make me take a bathroom break during his screen time."

[7.0] "If there's anyone who at the same time is exactly what WWE looks for in a wrestler and also is limited by current WWE's system is Brendan Vink AKA Elliot Sexton AKA many name changes later Duke Hudson. His worst aspect might be his in-ring work which is perfectly fine for a tall wrestler, but people underestimate how charismatic he can be, which in a scripted environment it's kind of hard to show to it's true potential, he has a very witty sense of humor (Shane Haste/Thorne also had) and is certainly someone who could still evolve to be an important wrestler for WWE, but could be doing way better anywhere else. Could be a 10 if booked to his strengths."

Sexton has the size, he has a great look, he has tons of charisma, he's pretty damn good in the ring and above all - Elliot is quite an original worker. Can't understand how he is still stuck working only in Australia."
