[2.0] "It's hard not to link him to Rolles, since they primarily worked together in NJPW. That being said, Daniel is a little bit of a step up. While he's still pretty awkward in the ring, he has a fire that Rolles lacks, and it makes up for the fact that he's a little shorter and more anonymous looking - though perhaps that almost helps itself, given the legacy of the Gracies in general. It also helps that his big singles match was worked against Shinsuke Nakamura effectively in his prime, as opposed to a past-date (though still good) Kazushi Sakuraba, which is a pretty big gap in opposing talent. So maybe he looks better for that reason alone, but either way, he's still clearly not a wrestler, but instead a martial artist who got a few spots thanks to his name and family history. Nepotism, you strike again."

[5.0] "Oddly, just above adequate at the sport, in contrast to his brother, who probably should have picked up on the art of selling by this point. Not to say that I really agree with either Gracie being involved with the current New Japan product, though given the recent above-average performance he had with Shinsuke Nakamura, I can tolerate this Gracie brother at least."
