[0.0] "Just an embarrassing pro wrestler. How can someone so unathletic, unconvincing and uninspiring be a regular in AJPW. Just blows my mind."

[7.0] "I'm sorry, but I legitimately don't understand why so many people have such deep hatred for Chikara. Is he the best wrestler in the world or anything? No, I don't even think he's particularly great. What Chikara has going for him is tons of heart and a genuine love from the crowd. Maybe I'm watching Chikara matches entirely different from everyone else, but I've really only seen him get lots of cheers and fan support for all of his chopping and headbutting. He's incredibly rough around the edges and his movements are janky and messy, but he always throws his chops with so much fire behind them. Again, I don't think Chikara is some wonderful wrestling savant or anything like that. He's had bad matches and bad performances! But he's also a wrestler that I think benefits greatly from how much he evidently loves wrestling. He loves the legacy left behind by his father and grandfather and loves being able to continue it. That type of work goes a long way for me personally."

[1.0] "It feels a little harsh to rate him so low, because I'm pretty sure even in the pantheon of "bad wrestlers who only have a lasting job because of who they're related to, " he doesn't rank that high on the bad-o-meter. He's no Erik Watts. Unfortunately, he's not much of anything. His general look and presentation is eminently forgettable - bland facials, boring haircut, boring gear, unassuming physique, and just going by Chikara? Plus the fact that this gimmick is really just "the grandson of Rikidozan" and that's the end of it, and he does get points for being nepotism personified in and out of the ring. I don't know if it's just the few matches that I caught, between his time in FREEDOMS and AJPW - I haven't seen any of his DDT work - but he also appears to basically only do chops in the ring, which is... a choice. He's not the worst wrestler I've ever seen, but it makes him extremely limited, obviously, and his chops aren't even GUNTHER/WALTER tier to make up for it."

[2.0] "He can wrestle to a extremely limited extent but his gimmick is truly what kills him. His random screaming kills any crowd he's in and his chops look weak and fake. He's only gotten to where he is because Rikidozan is considered royalty in Puroresu and Momota's connections. He doesn't look particularly great and has next to no muscle mass or, quite frankly, anything to make him look like a wrestler. He seems to be just there because of his linage more than anything else: he barely works in wrestling and usually works maybe 15 or 20 matches a year. I get the "following their footsteps" cliché but some people just aren't made for wrestling, and this guy is one of them."
