[7.0] "The other good Guerrero, Chavo Sr was a pretty good worker in his prime who was someone who could make you pop with his relatively exciting offense. Never consistent main event level but a good mid-carder who could main event on occasion."

[9.0] "What I grew up on was solid. Absolutely loved his teams with any and all of his relatives. Retrospect proves he was one of the true great trailblazers. Undoubtedly ahead of his time. Stellar in ring mechanic with an endless stream of offensive options, who also gelled with essentially all and helped elevate the sport/business as a whole. I think he might be the first wrestler on American television to perform a plancha pescado, that alone speaks volumes. Faults? You never saw this guy have a chance on a stage big enough to fully showcase his remarkable talents. While his career somehow found itself going nowhere (incredulous! ) you can not go wrong with Chavo Guerrero Senior. He made a career resurgence as Junior's second on Smackdown! the first half of 2004 and nothing but fun material is found there as well. Check out his match against Gino Hernandez, Mid South Wrestling Jan 15 1983 (Season 5 ep. 3 if you have Peacock). This is one of the best matches on televised American wrestling up until that point. 9.25"

[7.0] "He was 55 in 2004 so I can't really hate on him for being bad. He also got too few matches and did almost nothing, so I can't rate him for that. In AWA and NWA he was different from the rest and had an amazing moonsault"

[8.0] "was undersized and didnt translate well to the steroid era of the mid 1980s... but was a firey babyface for over a decade headlining the top of the card in some of the most popular feuds those territories had seen deserves a higher grade for his prime... and a lower grade for his last few years... but overall had a very good career and deserves to be considered one of the better wrestlers on the 1970s"

[8.0] "Everyone rating him under a '7' never saw any tape of him working with Piper in LA, nor against Fujinami. Easily the second most successful and probably talented of Gory's four wrestling sons. His bitterness from never achieving greater success than he had had in LA/Japan in the mid 70's-eary 80s gave his heel work in Houston credence. A far more entertaining performer than his son. For me, a true 7. 5 but I'm rounding up because 5. 59 is absurd when compared to current European talent who are in the 8's and 9's."
