[10.0] "Mason is a very charismatic young talent, he clearly has a big future ahead. It's very interesting to follow his progress--he's getting better in the ring and crazier as a character. I only follow HOG just for him."
[8.0] "Wasnt fully bought in during Mike Santana's HOG Heavyweight Title run, but since I have actually grown quite fond of Mason's character work. Enjoy his character whether it be matches or interviews. Maybe it is just because I love HOG, but I think hes quite underrated & will continue to build on his momentum"
[7.0] "Way overhated. I can see how his gimmick is a bit cringy to a lot of people, especially when you put him next to Atticus Cogar. And I can see how he might lack a bit of believability as a main eventer. But he's a solid worker, does genuinely have a sinister energy and has one of the best DVDs I've ever seen. I have seen average Charles Mason matches but I can't remember seeing a bad one, and yes I'm including the Hammerstein cage match in that, come at me. The tag match against Joey and Sawyer from Homecoming a couple of years ago was quality."
[8.0] "I like Mason as a wrestler. He plays the gimmick well and his move set fits his character perfectly. He has good facial expressions and sells well. He is a good worker in the ring and is a very natural heel."
[8.0] "Incredibly dedicated to his gimmick and it shows on tv aswell as live. Has a perfectly fine move set and style without being to flashy. He doesnt need to do to much in the ring when he can fall back on his gimmick so easily. I watched him the first time against Billy Starkz and he was just so easy to hate. I"
[2.0] "Contrary to popular belief, Charles Mason isn't Patrick Bateman. He's the guy who watched American Psycho once and took the completely wrong message from it. The ultimate cringe edgelord gimmick and his stupid facial expressions and mannerisms don't help. I'll credit where it's due: he's a perfectly competent wrestler who is good at doing moves and keeping his fellow wrestlers safe. Other than that I have nothing positive to say about him. Boring generic heel style, and again, his character has complete Go Away Heat for me. Legit just cannot stand this dude. Also, Charles, my dude, you're a wrestler, not a damn maître d'. You're also not a comedy wrestler. Buy some fucking wrestling gear."
[6.0] "His ringwork can sometimes leave something to be desired but I usually really enjoy his character work. His partnership with Parrow has been really good and I've mostly enjoyed his feud with BUSSY. His edgy character can sometimes cross the line into cringy territory but generally he does a good job straddling the line."
[0.0] "Now. I usually give wrestlers the benefit of the doubt, but this guy just isnt good. Like a previous commentator said, hes like Patrick Bateman from American Psycho without the nuance of Patrick Bateman. He makes dumb faces at the camera and has a weird feud with Allie Katch that feels like a wrestling versions of 50 shades. Hes like MJF without the actually captivating heel work. He just feels like a gimmick drawn up by a teenager who wanted to be edgy, the root of all evil nickname even sounds like the name and edgy teenager would come up with like deathblade or bloodslayer. Just not good, at all. Also it feels like hes an amazing red vanity project. This is not the guy who should be beating people like Low Ki and El Phantasmo. Youre not that guy, pal."
[9.0] ""The root of all evil" is possibly the most committed character in GCW to this day. He's hid his 6 years of experience very well by crafting interesting storylines where he can have mercenaries who have a lot more experience team with him to elevate his matches."
[8.0] "Is he the next mjf? Probably. His heel work is amazing and he is solid in ring. Seriously he can become one of the biggest stars in wrestling just give him a bit of time."
