[9.0] "Admittedly not being familiar with his work in the WWC, I'd still say Carlito's work in early-mid 2000s WWE deserves this rating. A childhood favourite with a boatload of charisma and good in-ring, personal issues backstage were always his worst enemy, which doesn't impact my rating directly, but the trajectory of his career definitely was impacted by it, leaving him as a perennial midcarder. His comedy run in the 2020s with Judgement Day was fun as well, for what it's worth."

Underrated athleticism and solid in-ring worker when motivated, though sometimes lacked consistency. Never fully pushed to his potential, but always entertaining and a welcome return to the company and addition to Judgement Day. He's in the best shape of his life and the pop he got when he saved the LWO in Puerto Rico is an all-timer"

While he occasionally delivers decent performances and showcases his comedic flair, there's a noticeable lack of excitement in his presence. Aside from the occasional chuckle, he hasn't quite managed to capture the spotlight or bring anything fresh to the show."
AceHagann wrote on 27.11.2024:
[5.0] "Carlito never stood out to me. Back in the day I felt as if he was a background wrestler, there just to pad time. Now he is the same, but even less skilled in the ring. His gag character moments backstage are the best he has going for him."
Willie 19200 wrote on 25.10.2024:
[5.0] "He's funny as a backstage character, but oh boy is he bad in the ring nowadays. His early WWE career was really fun and I could've seen him as an upper mid career but that never happened. A lot of his more recent stuff is kinda dumb, like he's funny and all, but he cannot go in the ring like he use to. Overall kinda mid wrestler."
Galmondi wrote on 21.09.2024:
[6.0] "He's cool i guess. Not really entertaining in the ring anymore but still funny backstage. I would not put him in a match tho, way better workers on your roster. But as a mascot, he's fine."
ChadCash wrote on 18.09.2024:
"Carlito was incredibly entertaining, a decent in ring talent, and always fondly remembered by casual fans. He was pushed very strong throughout his first few years but the knock on him backstage was his work ethic which perhaps explains why Carlito never reached the heights that many predicted after his strong first year with WWE. He has since returned to WWE many years later mostly as a comedy guy. While he is entertaining in that role, it must not be forgotten that at one point he was one of the main featured guys on WWE television."

[7.0] "Carlito was great in his original WWE run. He had the character down and played the heel really well and could go in the ring. Just couldn't seem to find the momentum to get out of the mid-card. He had some good matches on the indies after. He got the big pop in Puerto Rico which was great but his second WWE run has been lackluster with his being stable filler more than anything special."
ultravioletshiroi wrote on 09.06.2024:
[7.0] "Carlito played the gimmick of a self-centered bully heel pretty well. His vignettes and promos were fun and memorable. I don't think he had enough charisma to ever be a popular babyface though, and not enough star power to be a champion. He's a decent wrestler with some decent athleticism to him, but he unfortunately hurt his back over years with his finisher. It's a bit ironic that the move is called the 'backbreaker', when the only person whose back it breaks is the person executing the move."
Ozzy wrote on 04.06.2024:
[7.0] "A talented performer in comparrison to a lot of others during the ruthless agression era, a decent original gimmick to go along with it too, i can see why his fan base is bigger than a lot of others. The Apple thing was strange, but it was a nice story to watch every now and again, he felt like a less cool 2000s Razor Ramon esk gimmick, with the whole "im cool and i know it" stuff if you will. Multi time Tag Team champ & former IC champ in WWE suit him perfectly within the mid card position. Great for his time and i would say deserves some reccognition in the future by WWE."

[6.0] "In my heart, Carlito's a 10, but if I'm being fair, he's very difficult to rate. His best character work was when he was in far worse physical condition, and now that he's in the best shape of his career, he's been kind of side-lined as a bit player for the sluggish LWO storyline. His recent heel turn might be what he needs to inject some fire both into his new run and into the long-in-the-tooth LWO revival. He needs the equivalent of Drew's "I prayed for this" moment directed towards Rey. As for his old run, I still think he never quite delivered on the spectacular promise of his character after he cheated Cena, which is one of Smackdown's finest moments, but I also don't think that's entirely his fault, given the era it was in."

[5.0] "Carlito's career is one of high expectation but unfortunately he was unable to live up to the hype. His gimmick was not only well done, but also very memorable. He was decent on the mic, was easily recognisable and was a decent in-ring competitor. I feel like from 2007 onwards his career just seemed to nose dive pretty heavily. Whether that be for personal reasons, backstage politics or whatever, it just didn't seem to click from there onwards. His post WWE run has been pretty uneventful. He has fallen into the category of wrestlers who just "disappear" after their tenure in the WWE. Which, on a positive note is good to hear as it's not always nice to see X wrestler be arrested for Y reason(s). But still, he hasn't made any kind of impact post WWE and his Rumble appearance was great, but nothing came of it in the end. In-Ring: 3 stars Mic Skills: 2 Stars Look: 3 Stars TLDR: Unable to rate as I have just created an account. But overall I would give Carlito 5 stars out of 10. Was good for a short period of time, was hyped as a next big star in WWE. Career seemed to just nose dive from 2007 onwards, had a decent tag run but seemed to just disappear post WWE. Could've done a lot more, but didn't. Lots of potential that was unfortunately wasted for whatever reason(s)."

[6.0] "Carlito is a damn fine pro wrestler and highly charismatic. However, towards the end of his WWE run (starting from ca. 2007-ish) it felt as if he wasn't putting any effort in his work anymore. The only thing I can remember from his last two years or so - outside of The Colons' run as tag champs - is that one time he returned from a long hiatus by confronting John Cena, resembling his WWE debut. Outside of that, I've got nothing. I feel if Carlito kept pushing himself a bit harder and stayed motivated, he could've gone further because he was really fun to watch at first. In the ring, he was a solid hand and could always deliver a good-looking pro wrestling match worthy of airing on television worldwide."

I think if it hadn't been for his involvement in wrestling growing up, he wouldn't have had a decent, long run in a company like WWE. The reason is because he always seems like he has no passion or motivation for what he's doing. He doesn't look like he pushes himself to get better at wrestling and gives the vibe that he's just there to make a living. I wasn't impressed with his ring skills when he first started in WWE but at least he had an entertaining character but he somehow managed to make the gimmick boring towards the end of his run. Had a cool-looking finisher but that was it. I really do think if he actually tried to improve himself he would've had a good career but was too lazy and had no passion for what he was doing."

I just think he didn? t have the passion or the drive to be a main eventer because Vince would have put him in that spot if he did. Carlito is one of those guys that you can? t help but wonder what went wrong."

[6.0] "Carlito had a really unique look and he was coming in to WWE after some great promo packages; something WWE had kind of stopped doing for a while. Not long after he debuted, he kind of started devolving into mostly comedy. The apple spot was not my favorite, but clearly Vince was living vicariously through him because you just know McMahon would love to spit apple chunks in people's faces. The Cabana talk show never really panned out or will be remembered fondly like Piper's Pit was. Carlito was using the extremely stupid Overdrive as a finisher, which is one of the worst moves in all of wrestling. He was also involved in one of my most hated moments in Raw history when Hornswoggle painted a Looney Toons-style door on a wall & ran through & when Carlito tried to follow, he just hit the wall. But that said, Carlito had some good matches against the likes of Jeff Hardy, Morrison, & Benjamin. Even thought he was involved in some pretty stupid stuff, I still see him as a good midcarder."

Since leaving WWE he's been a relatively regular fixture on the indy circuit, and actually improved his physique post-WWE. Unsurprisingly he's also had a lot of success, both before and after his WWE run, in his father's WWC promotion in Puerto Rico."

Carlos Colon is better period. He was a great heel and one of WWE's best of all time. "Spit in people's faces that don;t want to be cool. " That is a heel tactic right there."

Him spitting an apple in a wrestler's face was also a good personality trait. He was a pretty good, higher above than most of the mid-carders the WWE had. I like Carlito. I miss him. :("
