Dr. Britt Baker DMD

[3.0] "Her sense of in-ring movement is just okay, & she never truly reached past a certain ceiling for me. Despite being Tony's chosen lady @ AEW's inception, the amount of effort she put into her matches lessened as the years wore on. I never saw her as a real draw, & always did see her as a person to be lumped in with the less memorable women in AEW; the Tay Contis, Penelope Fords, Anna Jays of the world. An inch or two and maybe 10 pounds of muscle are the only things that separate her from said people. She never truly reached the level of people like Hikaru Shida, Toni Storm, or Jamie Hayter. I was on my way to a 4, but then I remembered that she found it necessary to cope with the fact that she's not all that by bullying brilliant talents/wonderful people like Serena Deeb, Thunder Rosa & Alicia Atout. These days, rumors are she's got bad heat backstage. It's been a minute since we've seen her on TV, indicating that even Tony Khan has had enough. He can say "omg we'd love to have her" til he's blue in the face, but until action is taken & she's back, I'm not buying it."

[2.0] "The most overrated and overpsuhed female wrestler in AEW history. I don't understand why she got pushed so hard during the pandemic. She's bad in the ring, she's awful on the mic, and she's just has this unlikeable presents where whenever she shows up, the whole mood changes from good to bad."

[8.0] "ENGAGER: 9 STRIKER: 7 CRAFTMASTER: 6 AERIALIST: 4 POWERHOUSE: 4 EXTREMIST: 8 ENTRANCE: 8 NARRATIVE: 8 GIMMICK: 9 ANGLE: 8 GRUDGE: 8 ELOCUTION: 10 You could argue that Britt Baker has the best mic skills of any female wrestler ever. She also has shown the ability to help carry storylines and feuds, and she has been able to develop and showcase her gimmick along the way."

[2.0] "I truly hope her DMD career is doing well, because man, AEW is surely gonna fire her as soon as possible and I don't see WWE hiring her at all. She don't have enough talent to be even at the NXT. I really hope her career outside wrestling is good, because that is not gonna take too long. She has been more than a year out of the ring and no one gives a fuck. Actually, nobody cares."

[2.0] "In 2021, I thought Britt Baker was pretty decent but overall, she's been awful and seems insanely disrespectful to her fellow co-workers. The amount of times she's just no-sold or stiffed her opponents got ridiculous toward the end and it seems like she was a huge problem in the locker room. The AEW women's division has thrived so well without her. I will say, her matches with Statlander and the hardcore match with Rosa were very good."

[3.0] "For modern workerss with lost of tape or vids on the internet, I judge mainly on match output. She has one 9/10 match if r the last 6 years her match with Rosa going wider. Iv seen alot of her indie stuff as well and left deeply unimpressed. thee worst fof cohort the three owne the the three main women i Grace Stat and Baker [ al who i first saw work in 2018 ]"

[6.0] "I have a love and hate situation with Britt Baker she was literally one of the best aew champions in the company her reign was so bad ass and her hardcore matches were bangers but anything else she did was surprisingly very bad I don't know if she just lost interest in wrestling or had problems with her peers. But it's very obvious that she's not the same Britt baker she once was."

[10.0] "I don't understand why her rating is so low. Britt Baker was literally one of the reasons I watched AEW in 2020. She's very charismatic, a great performer, and most importantly, she has an original and attractive character. Back in the day, she carried the entire women's division in AEW on her shoulders. If anyone didn't know, Baker hasn't always been able to deliver spectacular matches due to numerous injuries. However, we've all seen her match against Thunder Rosa, and that is actually one of the best matches we've seen in women's wrestling. And judging by her return, it's clear she didn't sit still and worked on herself, coming back with a toned and ripped abs. It would be interesting to see her in WWE. AEW probably can't offer her anything new anymore. In WWE, she would most likely get a title shot. It's easier for the women to get a push in WWE than for the men."

[4.0] "Coming back here after...Number One: The Mercedes Mone All-In match and...Number Two: The unforgivable "No One Cares" to Serena Deeb. Very tacky approach to the business, was exposed in her lack of desire to level up to the planet's very best and her inability to be different, even if it meant sticking to certain elements of her gimmick. The greats rise to meet challenges and take the moment. Britt just said "No One Cares". I think she is the one who doesn't care."

[8.0] "Britt Baker is excellent, a great character outside of the ring and a great wrestler inside the ring. Her reputation has cooled in recent years, which is a shame, but I feel with a move to WWE (which if you believe the rumours, is impending) that she will be back to her best"

[2.0] "I understand how important Britt was to the beginning of AEW and their women's division, but in 2025 they're far past the need for her to show up. She wasn't particularly good then but now, especially when compared to the others, she's just downright horrible. Her promos are fine, I guess. Of course reports may not be true and I do not know her, but if they are, Britt sounds like a horrible person to work with and like a cancer to the locker room. My point of all this is, Britt, while she used to provide something, no longer does and probably never will again. Bad wrestler."

[8.0] "I really like Britt Baker. I don't know what is happening with her and AEW but I hope she can make a good return or put her work in somewhere else. Her strongest work is her promos. She is a really good promo. She carried the whole women's division of AEW for a good while just based on her promos and her squad with Rebel and Jamie Hayter. She slowed down in importance as better in-ring workers came in but she definitely could be a main event wrestler in the women's division. Britt also proved she was not afraid of working hardcore and she was actually good at it with Thunder Rosa. She is the perfect modern heel. Can do hardcore. Can play a coward. And can really make you want to see her lose when she cuts a promo."

[8.0] "Admittedly I don't watch a ton of AEW. That said, I don't understand the low rating here. She has a good look, can definitely talk and can wrestle a good match. I first saw her in 2018 and she has improved tremendously in all aspects. Also while I may gripe about AEW's overuse of blood and violence, she's done it in small doses and the fact that she is willing to and has had some great matches with or without the gore, makes her a solid 8"

[3.0] "She's not the best in the ring. She's ok and has gotten much better since she first joined the company in 2019. Her character work grew exponentially and she wasn't as sloppy with her timing. Her promos were very good for a while. She still doesn't look very athletic when she's running the ropes but she has a lot of charisma and fans are invested in her matches. That's the most important quality to have. Her promos have gotten better but she's recently in the habit of constantly making her feuds about her being there from day 1 and these big bad interlopers keep showing up. It made a lot of sense with Saraya and honestly with Mercedes too, if she hadn't already done it. Baker isn't nearly as good as either her or her character thinks she is. She will always remain an important woman in the early days of their division but with the amount of talent AEW keeps accumulating her weaknesses are more glaring."

[5.0] "I wanted to like her. She has a good look, a great entrance and can do promos. Problem is she's just too inconsistent in the ring. Did she come back injured or something? Also her supposed best match was only popular because it had blood. I've seen matches of hers that were fine, sometimes pretty good, but usually nothing spectacular. She's also returned to AEW from hiatus only to leave again. I would change my rating if she came back and started being more consistent, but maybe her flaws are due to her having too much on her plate. She is doing this while also working as a dentist after all so time could be a problem for her."

[3.0] "For someone so brutally mediocre on the mic and in the ring, she sure seems to be a heat magnet outside of it. She has a great gimmick, a solid finisher, and a good catchphrase, and that's really about it. Unless she's literally being carried to one, she's incapable of having a good match. Her promos only serve to get herself over and no one else. And no one seems to like her backstage. Her half-decade long push in AEW ended up being a complete waste of time and the division is much better off now that she seems to be gone for good than it ever was while she was there."

[4.0] "At her peak she was very popular and had made the best of every opportunity. However her regression in every aspect the past couple of years is impossible to ignore. She was never a great wrestler but my god she absolutely stinks in the ring now. And her greatest strenghts, character work and promos, haven't really stood out in the recent memory either. And it feels like backstage bs about her makes far more headlines than her on-screen stuff for a while now and that's never great. I don't see her climbing her way up the card again."

[5.0] "Improved a lot over the past year . She now has a character , though not very interesting or enticing but she's getting there step by step and I like the dentist moniker . She has also improved her mic skills which used to be the same thing over and over again not too long ago and works as a effective heel in her matches. Good character work and introducing a more technical in ring style has done wonders for her . Also , responsible for putting on the greatest women's match in AEW history. She excels in matches that involve a No DQ stipulation or simply anything that contains a hardcore element. At this point , she is going to improve even more in the coming years and that is splendid news. She has a bright future ahead . Has all the potential now to be face of the women's division however I would appreciate more focus and concentration on her in ring skills and ability to tell a story in the ring and how to work matches according to their length. EDIT: Didnt capiatlise on the potential and opportunities she got and after losing the women's title hasnt done much of substance or worth caring about. Also must mention that she hasnt been on TV for a long long time apparently because of her attitude making it difficult for wrestlers to work with her."

[3.0] "A few months ago on this site, I gave Britt Baker a 5 and said that she has potential but her biggest flaw is match quality and consistency. While I *still* believe she has potential, I also believe I over-rated her a little compared to what I originally given her and so I'm here once again to re-write my review about her. When it comes to character work, more specifically during the COVID-19 era of AEW, she excelled very well in that and was able to deliver good results on that front. However, since then, her in-ring work has been exposed really badly and she has had a lot of notable DUDs against the likes of Taya Valkyrie and several others in the division. This notoriety of bad wrestling came to a "peak" when she fell flat on her face in the All In 2024 match against Mercedes Mone, who also had a rough performance in said match; Most of the blame for that match however went straight to Britt and she eventually fell down the card big time and it's gotten to the point where she is no longer seen on TV (for now). Though I do believe she is fixable in terms of in-ring work and character development, it's going to take a while and a lot of training for her to reach this potential and expectations that were once placed on her. Whether it's leaving AEW or going elsewhere is to be determined, considering her AEW contract expires in mid-2025, so it's very possible she will go elsewhere to revive her potential."

[3.0] "It's getting to the point where I'm not sure what anyone really saw in Britt Baker (DMD) to begin with. She's still poor in the ring (after all this time), I never understood why anyone thought her promos were good when she usually just lazily drones into the mic and by all accounts she's not a very pleasant person either, constantly causing real-life issues backstage. And what is with things like burying Serena Deeb on camera by saying "Nobody cares? " Does she still not understand how actions like that kills anyone's potential interest in a feud? No, I'm sorry, I don't get it. Not good in any area of wrestling as far as I can see, and at this stage it's hard to see her ever improving."

[3.0] "I don't know where to start with this horrible wrestler, she didn't improve since her arrival in AEW and she's still wrestling like a rookie with her botches, her sloppiness and her robotic way to wrestle. Her mic skills isn't catastrophic, she has a decent delivery but her promos come off as uninspired, repetitive and uninteresting with her "I am Dr Britt Baker D.M.D" isn't even cool. Character wise it's not bad but given how repetitive her promos are, it is uninteresting and I personally don't care. I admit she had very few solid match but she was carried because when she wrestles not-so-good wrestlers, it is really...hard to watch"

[3.0] "Just not a very good wrestler by any stretch of the means, got outshined by Jamie on a multitude of occasions and has a match catalog drier than the Sahara desert, not the absolute worst of all time and there was a point where I thought she could improve to a point of genuine enjoyment (hence the 3), but she just never really got there, and her act has only soured further on me over time... 3/10."

[5.0] "I don't really understand why Britt is so polarizing outside of understanding that there's so much talk about her "sandbagging" people, but she's just a pretty average professional wrestler who has had some good matches and some bad matches. Definitely can be underwhelming in her consistency, but think she's had good years and meh years, but ultimately she has a really good gimmick, definitely connected with crowds way more than people give her credit for, and has had some slip ups. She's been around an 8 at her best and around a 4 at her worst. She has somehow a bad reputation, and hey, maybe where there's smoke there's fire, but I have enjoyed her in the past for sure, and hope she works her way through whatever lull this is."

[0.0] "The worst female wrestler of all time in my books, not only she is really bad in wrestling, but Tony Khan choose her as the Ace of the AEW Women's division, making her status worse and worse for me. Bad match after bad match with really decent wrestlers like Thunder Rosa, Hikaru Shida, Mercedes Mone and others. Also, her "best" quality, the microphone, got worse over time, her rivaly with Mone is the perfect example that her only "good" thing has vanished from existence and the All In match really didn't help."

[4.0] "Before her match with Mone, all I heard about Britt from her fans was all to do with her mic work and the lights out match with Thunder Rosa. Her mic skills are honestly not that great, and it makes no sense to me why Mone receives so much hate for her promos but Im meant to believe Britt is a good promo. And the lights out match, I wont say it wasnt a decent match, it definitely wasnt bad but after watching it I think its massively overrated. And now with that awful match at All In and Mercedes carry job, I feel like her flaws are finally being exposed and people realise that she is not good. The AEW womens roster has grown since shes been away and she just cant keep up with the other women now, shes honestly on a similar level to Saraya. And Saraya is dreadful."

[3.0] "Objectively, Britt's an alright wrestler. She can perform all the moves, though is often uncoordinated in the ring. Her promo's are also average. She often sounds scripted, and often doesn't sound believable. If we are also led to believe from the rumours, she's also a toxic presense backstage."

[8.0] "I think Britt Baker is severely underrated. She has a great gimmick, very marketable, an awesome look and she carries herself like a star. She could have made it to the very top in any era of women's wrestling. Her promos, while not stellar - are never dull or bad. She gets her points across very well. She can tell a story in the ring and is technically pretty sound. I think she has suffered a bit due to the booking and not having enough *top* female talent to work with. You're only as good as your opponent in this business. Overall, Britt is an incredible talent who still has so much untapped potential in terms of opponents and stories she could tell."

[2.0] "Occasionally okay in the ring with the right opponent, but often looks like a deer in headlights when she's wrestling. Always found her promos annoying, she works better as a heel in my eyes. But the worst part about her, to me, is the situation with Thunder Rosa. I never felt she was the pinnacle of the division, but how she treats her fellow coworkers is worth docking some points, especially since Rosa's one of the only 2 workers that made me invested in a Britt match."

[7.0] "I was at the Austin show where she cut the "Whataburger" promo that sent her career on the train to the title and I distinctly remember immediately flipping my opinion on her at the time. She was originally a very, very dull face and when she appeared on the mic I dreaded having to sit through it. That promo, in person, to that crowd, completely changed the energy in the room. Everyone there loved (to boo) her instantly and she clearly reveled in it. It was one of my favorite moments being at a live wrestling show. I give you that context to share my conflict in rating her. I've really liked her heel run, I think she has a -brilliant- character (getting over a medical character post Yankem to smart fans feels impossible to me, and she did it) but I also think her reign was a bit long in the tooth and there were a few wrestlers that probably should've stripped her of her title sooner. But I also think she's gotten some exceptional matches during 20/21, particularly with Thunder Rosa and Statlander, that absolutely warrant giving her a higher score than what's currently reflected on this site. She's not AEW's best women's wrestler ever, and I think her time in the main event is probably done, but she's absolutely one of it's best, most charismatic reinventions."

[6.0] "I don't think Britt is as bad as some people say, I think she has some value, specially as a character. In ring she's limited, not the worst worker of all time but far from the best, and I think she can deliver a lot of interesting angles. Does a lot of good and bad things, so kind of mediocre and unreliable but useful with a good booking."

[3.0] "Managing to get over on the mic in the AEW Women's Division was evidently enough to give her a push to the top despite being one of the weakest workers on the roster, and said promos never putting over anybody help you keep that spot, at least for a few years. I absolutely find it impressive that she managed to get a degree and begin practicing dentistry while still wrestling, but at the same time you can tell being a dentist takes up most of her time because she still goes out to the ring and looks like a rookie whenever she has a match. Her promos got boring pretty fast during her title reign since she was pretty consistently either having stinkers or being carried to decent matches. Her best match is only good because it had a ton of smoke, mirrors, and hardway blood alongside being carried (and Rosa herself is far from a ring general). I don't want to say that her push was as a way to entice Adam Cole to jump ship since she DID get over, and lately it does seem like she's taken a backseat in order to let Hayter shine before her injury while putting over better talents like Storm & Stat on TV, but as a whole the women's division would be a lot better off if she stuck to a managerial role (at MOST) and she put more of her time and effort into her patients and their teeth. A dentist's finishes being a curbstomp and a mandible claw are pretty inspired though, I have to say."

[3.0] "A case of a women's wrestler who has a decent look so some may see her as better but aside from having pretty good mic skills and being able to play a heel character pretty well the doctor Britt Baker has some very glaring issues in ring doing basic things like selling moves and making a move look real or believable and not completely scripted out. Her best match consisted of her being carried by Thunder Rosa's broken back for about 20 minutes in a steel cage and besides that Britt has found herself doing just about everything being a main event talent and the placed at the cream of the crop in the women's division besides actually improving at all since her debut in AEW."

[3.0] "Solid at best, her in ring work it's completely deficient, she looks sloppy almost every time I have watched her, she's kinda good in the mic but that's it, her gimmick doesn't work for me, I mean, there are plenty wrestlers that have an educational background and career but that's not their whole gimmick, in my opinion I think many people like to pretend she's better than she actually is."

[5.0] "She turned new leaf after going to the dark side and is stealing the show segment after segment. Can't wait for her in-ring return and inevitable reign as AEW Women's Champ. EDIT: She's been stale for a while now and all her limits are showing (especially in the ring), they get hidden well in some special stipulation matches but she needs to evolve again in some way."

[3.0] "I had a lot of faith she would get better as time went by, but it became very clear after a while that wasn't the case, Thunder Rosa carried her through one good match and TK and his shortsighted vision thought the loser of the match (in every aspect if you take into consideration how she treated Rosa in and out of the ring) would be the face of the women's division. Instead, she's the main reason why the division just can't move forward, consistently making her opponents and rivals look bad in and out of the ring, the only other person on the roster that could probably compare to her lack of effort on being a good performer is Saraya, but the latter I can actually understand with everything she went through, I ran out of excuses for Baker though."

[3.0] "Britt Baker is the major argument piece for why AEW needs to improve it's talent development system. She's decent on the stick, has good enough of a charisma factor, and has a cool finisher, but my god she is just not a great in-ring performer at all. In fact she's somehow getting actively worse in that department within each passing week. Ever since her breakout moments in 2021 and her admittedly really solid match with Thunder Rosa, it's been nothing but downhill and she was only able to thrive in hardcore gimmick matches due to them covering up her weaknesses. Like absolutely nothing about her right now really makes me think "Yeah! She definitely deserves to be the top star of the Women's Division! " given all the time and space she's taken up on national television. And this isn't even scratching the surface on her well-documented backstage issues and her tendency to be a complete mark for herself, which would be fine if she, y'know, was actually good or hell even decent at wrestling. AEW needs a feeder system to send down underperforming wrestlers like Britt to really perfect their craft, and if backstage stories are true, an attitude adjustment as well before they could be given any substantial amount of tv time."

[4.0] "A decent heel promo but nothing else is really spectacular about her besides her finisher. She seems to cause more drama than its worth however and seems to always be in a top of the card position even if she doesnt deserve it. Her finisher is cool too but she doesnt have much else."

[3.0] "Really just not very good at wrestling. Decent character work from time to time, but seems to get worse as she goes along from the in ring standpoint. Slow moving, weak strikes, horrific at taking bumps, can almost see her thinking what the spot is as she's doing it like she's trying to learn a dance step. None of this would matter that much if she wasn't given so much time and space on the national tv show. And this doesn't even take into account her apparent conniving backstage personality. I normally wouldn't even give a rating but apparently Cagematch doesn't like it when you only go and rate things you thought were a 10 as a 10 so I guess I have to balance it out somehow or risk getting all my ratings deleted again lol"

[8.0] "One of the most entertaining female wrestlers of this era. Great on the mic and a fantastic heel. She got herself massively over, more so than any woman not in the 4 Horsewoman. Her in ring skills are fine, she has proven multiple times she can put on a great match."

[1.0] "I never like Britt Baker, In early AEW she was generic white lady and was very bland, Then in the pandemic era she turned heel and gained some personality and Had a crap match with Big Swole, Then she had a good match against Thunder Rosa, Then I realized she only has good matches when they are Hardcore gimmick matches, She is very awkward in the ring and can cut a mediocre promo, This is not someone who should be considered to be the face of AEW's woman division, She needs to go away for a while and come back more well trained and if what i'm hearing with her backstage issue maybe a better attitude."

[1.0] "Dreadfully slow and awkward worker, have yet to see have a single good match and to add to it, she's clearly a complete mark for herself which can be acceptable when you're actually good at your job. The fact that some people have tried to claim she's the best female talent in the business is laughable and disrespectful to actually good workers."

[6.0] "Baker never has been or never will be the best wrestling in the ring. A lot of her transitions and selling is clunky. However, what she lacks in the ring, she is able to compensate for with solid promo ability. That being said, I also feel like some of her promo work is overrated, I never really feel anything from Dr. Bakers promos."

[6.0] "Baker is a hodgepop of things- but a good wrestler she ain't. She's a decent promo, even if he inflection and tone borrow very heavily from Alexa Bliss, she's got plenty of moves but uses them like she's in a wrestling game- they don't flow, they're very much individual set pieces from every one of them. And she gases after ten minutes. She's someone you should use as an upper mid level heel in a division as when she's on top all her limitations get shown up. AEW figured out how to hide Jade Cargill's limitations with short matches to let her greeness not be an issue but they seem to think Baker can go like a full on joshi and she absolutely can't."

[6.0] "While Britt still has a way to go in-ring wise, she's already a fantastic promo and is probably the best female talker on the AEW roster. Her promos during her injury in 2020 were some of the best stuff on AEW TV at the time. Her feud with Rosa was also one of the better women's feuds so far in AEW, not that they have a lot of competition."

[10.0] "Britt Baker is one of the pillars of AEW. I don't care if anyone says she is dull, she isn't. She is a fantastic wrestler with many different moves in her arsenal for her to apply and use in her matches."

[7.0] "Not the best in the ring but she is fine. Very good on the mic, natural charisma and she has a great interaction with the crowd. She is able to be a good heel and a good babyface. Her rating on this site is way too low ! If she had a better in ring level, I would rate her at least 8/10 but if she was as good in the ring as she is on the mic, it would be a 10 and one of the greatest female wrestler of all time. Still one of my favs, will always be a 8 or a 9 in my heart. DMD forever !"

[6.0] "I'm starting to sour a bit on Britt. I think her character work is very good, but her in-ring almost appears to be regressing. I don't know if this is a consequence of the limited time given to the AEW women if she's not clicking with the partners she has, or if she's been hiding behind her character work and fan support."

[3.0] "After her matches with Thunder Rosa and Nyla Rose in early 2021, it looked like Britt Baker was on her way to becoming a very good wrestler. But ever since she botched her way through her title victory against Shida, she has regressed into a wrestler who does not possess the in-ring ability fit for national TV. Without much athleticism nor much technical skill, she relies mostly on her pretty good brawling, her decent crowd connection, and on bullshit and ill-designed outside interference. Some people insist that she is a great promo, but that is completely untrue; having one dumb catch phrase and a cringe-inducing cadence does not make one a passable mic worker, much less a good one. To be fair, she was a very good television draw. That is the only good reason I can fathom that she was pushed so hard for a couple years."

[9.0] "Britt Baker has progressed since the early days of All Elite Wrestling, going from a forced wrestler to one of the best of the Originals. Her run as champion is the best in the company's history so far."

[2.0] "Britt was a real fun character, ironically, when she was out injured. When she came back she got overpushed and peaked early. Crowds aren't hot for her anymore and she still hasn't improved in the ring."
