Tremendous mat technician, at least for his prime, that got thrown his ridiculous Maha Singh gimmick to another Kevin Sullivan macabre skit in Florida. Man, working for Eddie Graham really killed the buzz between the years. Nice guy outta the ring and also very dependable performer."

[6.0] "Looked like Ole Anderson's body (and head) with Jim Brunzell's face, not as captivating as either. Lots of legitimate "amateur background" stuff, that was so in vogue for the time. Promoted as a master tactician who would often scheme his way into title scenes (lol...). Competent n all; his stuff looked realistic, mic skills were very strong and his timing was spot on, but he's missing that "something" I might never be able to explain. His commentary always makes me smile, as he used the terms "thorax" & "gizzard" to describe human anatomy. 6.25 rounded down."

[6.0] "no charisma... until around 1981 it didnt matter. I see him on early mid south shows and they still use him near the top of the card. his legitimate wrestling ability was impressive behind the scenes he was aggressively political and a couple times he tried to mutiny against the promoters. he basically sabotaged his career with his politics. within 3-4 years after being in the title picture of midsouth he was begging for scraps as a freak in kevin sullivans army... and was out of the sport by age 40 his early career before the politics and the dawn of cable tv was pretty impressive. better than a 6 rating... but most people would have seen his later work and would probably rate him a 3-4 for that finish he had to his career"

[6.0] "This guy was on the 1968 Olympic wrestling team so you know he could go in the ring. His problem was he had the charisma of a wet mop, the skills on the mic of dead dog and was saddled with stupid gimmicks like the one he had when he was aprt of Kevin Sullivan's group. If he was around today they would of capitalized on his Olympic career and given him a manager but sadly he never got that chance."
