Terri Runnels

[8.0] "Terri is one of the best valets of her era, and I'd argue has a lot more to do with increased popularity with women in WWE than Sunny ever did. I'd like to note, I know she hated wrestling, so I'm sorry she had to do it, but honestly? She as a wrestler is better than women like Sable, Debra, and Kitty who won the world title and Stacy and Sharmell who are in the HoF. She was WAY better than she had any right to be in the ring, genuinely somewhat entertaining. PMS was purposefully awful, but her acting in it was always very charming. As Marlena, she really felt ominous and dangerous in a seductive way, added a LOT to Goldust early on. Her Hardcore title run was memorable in a good way, as even amongst the women's reigns, only half of them were entertaining. Her stuff as an interviewer was pretty decent too actually, including her 2ish-week program with Gail and Molly. Overall, she's a first draft Hall of Famer for the women's wing, for sure."

[7.0] "Mostly remembered for being eye candy at the height of the Attitude Era and it's kind of a shame because her best work was as Marlena. Goldust had a very unique presentation at the time and Marlena certainly added to the mystique at ring side and drew heat for him when shed interfere in his matches. She also had a great look with the gold dresses and the cigar smoking at ringside. Also Chyna's debut was memorable because she shakes poor Terri around like a ragdoll. Her matches was terrible, but she was never a wrestler to begin with as she was just doing the same things most of the women in that era was booked to do at the time."

[7.0] "Terri was very underrated as a manager and on-screen personality. Very versatile, with three very different personas, Alexandra York, Marlena and a very exaggerated version of herself. I think I'd have to agree with other commenters that Marlena was the best. And yes, as someone else mentioned, never claimed to be a wrestler but nevertheless tried her best when they asked to have matches and performed a few moves reasonably well for a non-wrestler. She really didn't have much say in what she had to do like the whole PMS thing and the thong stinkface match with the trashy The Kat, so I won't hold that against her."

[9.0] "She was very good at managing and interviewing. Since she doesn't claim to be a wrestler i'm not going to rate her wrestling skills. However she at least learned a few moves to try her best in the matches she had against more experienced women like Victoria She could cut a good promo. Overall she is a pretty good talent, and She is insanely hot (Still is). Hotter than Sable by a mile. 9/10"

[3.0] "Okay as Marlena, then she became sleazy eye candy in the cesspit of the Attitude Era. PMS was such a stupid stable that could only come from the mind of Russo!"

[5.0] "As a wrestler she earns a D minus. As Alexandria York or Marlena though? With these two characters she excelled, especially Miss York."

[7.0] "Didn't care very much for her looks but she was certainly good at managing and interviewing. Since she doesn't claim to be a wrestler i'm not going to rate her wrestling skills. However she at least learned a few moves to try her best in the matches she had against more experienced women like Trish. She could cut a promo and was believable when she was involved in storylines and took some nasty bumps. Overall she did a pretty good job playing her role."

[2.0] "Obviously she was there for her looks, and it's a good thing because she couldn't do much of anything in the ring. Unfortunately she wasn't great as a manager either."

[7.0] "She was insanely hot. Hotter than Sable by a mile. Seen as looks were the criteria for hiring in this era I should give her a 10 but I won't. Her role as manager for Goldust was her best."

[7.0] "As Marlena when she first appeared with Goldust, I thought she could add a lot to that character. An Oscar statue come to life, she was super attractive & gave Goldust more to play with. But after the initial run, it felt like she didn't really do much. Probably her time managing Meat & being part of PMS was when she was at her most eye rolling."

[7.0] "Not sure why women are always judged by their wrestling skills here, even if they were never meant to be wrestlers. No one ever judges the wrestling skills of Paul Heyman, Jim Cornette or Earl Hebner. Anyway, she was fine as a valet, and fit perfectly into her various roles. Plus she was fun, unlike, say, Sable."

[5.0] "She was great as a manager. Her wrestling skills weren't that great. Great on the mic. She is a pioneer for the divas. She was like a Playboy model back in the 90's. She was a bit of an underdog because of her short stature. She disappeared from tv off and on."

[6.0] "Terri Runnels, also known as Marlena is a pretty memorable manager. Her time with Goldust helped define her career, and her small stature and outlandish fashion stylings helped her differentiate herself from her peers."

[3.0] "All I really care about remembering of Terri Runnels was when Anne Robinson called her out on the Weakest Link special with the WWE wrestlers asking Terri if she had fake boobs and of course she did. Terri held the Hardcore Championship for a short period of time but, that isn't exactly a bold accomplishment if other women on the roster like Trish Stratus and Molly Holly held it longer than Terri did."

[6.0] "Though most remembered as Attitude-era eye candy, Terri was actually a pretty versatile performer, playing the nerdy Alexandra York, seductress Marlena and exhibitionist Terri all with equal ability. Never cut out to be an active wrestler, Terri was nevertheless fine in the manager/valet/supporting character role."
