Big Swole

[5.0] "She had potential but it was curtailed by Crohn's disease, arrogance, and a misguided personal agenda. For Swole, "lack of diversity" meant she should've been TBS champion instead of Jade. She had a point as far as skill is concerned but that's not the hand she played and came across as a fool. That said, she was a decent enough wrestler with some charisma but lacked anything real standout skills."

[7.0] "Big Swole is, in my opinion, the literal definition of a "decent hand" in professional wrestling. She's an accomplished wrestler who consistently delivers solid performances in the ring. When you watch her, you see a competent, reliable performer who understands the nuances of a match. She's like a Jazz or Jacqueline - wrestlers who might not always headline, but you know will bring a legitimate, believable fight and deliver a good match."

"Good wrestler but by the time she was seen on a national scale, her Crohn's condition badly hampered her and she was working with someone who also needed a veteran's guidance in the ring. Well trained and much of the hate seems to come from people who only saw her during her brief run in AEW and feel attacked over her comments on their then-lack of diversity."

[1.0] "I feel for her medical condition and wish her the best personally. However, as a wrestler, shes been given numerous opportunities to prove herself but has consistently fallen short. Despite these chances, she fumbled it every time and never stood out."

[5.0] "Great look and is pretty good in the ring. Below average skills on the mic. Able to have a good to great match with the right opponent but not everyone. Her commitment to diversity in wrestling is good."

[1.0] "I heard a lot of hype behide Swole but never once did I see any of it backed up in the ring. I've seen maybe a dozen Swole matches and every single one was sloppy and uninteresting, she would just hit her flurry of offence with no real reason to any of it."

[2.0] "Oh, I remember Swole from her path in AEW, it was atrocious. She was lost in the ring for the most part, her partners often needed to help her to coordinate herself in the ring. Singles matches made her look worse... botching all over the placer and messing up her own finishing move"

[6.0] "Big Swole was a decent enough part of the early AEW Women's division, and had at least one memorable feud vs. Britt Baker, which is part of the build Britt got as the first female star AEW ever made. That's about it, as we really don't have too many memorable moments from her otherwise from what I can recall. 6/10"

[1.0] "When the entrance hits and the song comes out she brings the energy, but when she get inside the squared circle she lacks alot of in ring skills and lacks alot of her promo works, i watched alot of her matches and unfortanely currently she in 7 years of experience she still has alot to improve."

[10.0] "Big Swole is an amazing talent, pure charisma, she got decent in ring skills, people hate her because what the other rich cisgender man said. Is truly sad what happened to her, just beacuse he was call out about the lack of diversity in her TV."

[2.0] "While she brought a lot of energy when would make her entrance, I never saw any of that in the actual ring for her matches. The only two things I remember of her were that one awful dentist match against Britt Baker, and when she played the race card against Tony Khan when she was let go. Hasn't recovered from either of those terrible moments."

[2.0] "She is neither big nor swole. She lacks charisma, and had an overly generic character. In AEW, she felt that a babyface she that was just there,"

[4.0] "Average in every sense of the word. Ring work average, presence average, promos average. Twitter takes............ worse than average. Not good at all"

[7.0] "I feel really damn sorry for Swole. Prior to AEW she had a number of tremendous showing on the indies, particularly with SHINE and RISE wrestling. She was a stand out almost everywhere, but a combination of Crohn's disease limiting movement, and a lack of training for television hurt her future. She was thrown into television still a touch shaky in a division that had primarily inexperienced individuals. She had more charisma than the pack and was not given anything in terms of storyline. The only attention she had was in her match with Diamante where the woman she was wrestling mistimed a signature spot of Swole's (one that no else else mistimed) and Swole looked awkward. From there, she was put under a microscope by the AEW fanbase. She isn't a bad wrestler or striker in the least, but her career came almost to a halt when she spoke public ally about AEW needing to work on diversity on television. As a result, the fanbase targeted her career, and she gained a reputation for being "difficult" when she was saying stuff that other black wrestling fans has said. As soon as her former boss went to twitter to berate her wrestling, her career practically ended. She was barely given a chance, and then was swamped by fanatics as soon as she spoke up."

[1.0] "Big Swole was just extremely obnoxious to watch with her annoying mannerisms + dumb facial expressions. She's also a mediocre wrestler, and was often pretty sloppy in the ring throughout much of her AEW run. Her gear also sucks too. I don't understand how she was even fairly over with crowds in the first place. She's a bad talent. Just please keep her away from national television."

[4.0] "Swole showed promise early on as Aerial Monroe, and even early into her AEW run. Was able to light up a room and be a serviceable wrestler on the undercard. The last two years have taken that promise away, unfortunately. Clunky and sloppy in the ring, doesn't have the cardio to wrestle a full match, fumbled often on the biggest stage. It's hard to say if this is a series of own goals or a result of her unfortunate health issues preventing her from getting regular ring time. 33 is not too old to turn it around but it definitely is if you can't get the reps in. She's still very charismatic and there's always a place for that in wrestling."

[1.0] "She seems like she tries hard but Swole is just awful. Terrible in the ring and grating as a character. She tries to come across as charismatic and frankly I think she falls flat on her face each time. Maybe she'll be able to improve on the indies, but so far I have seen nothing from Swole to indicate that she has any sort of potential in professional wrestling."

[2.0] "People refused to be truthful about her work for the longest time until she and Tony aired their shit out. She has the presence of a good wrestler and thats it. She's never been interesting enough in ring anywhere to actually last and while she may have had every right to be mad with AEW and Tony she still stunk"

[1.0] "I just want to preface this by saying it is completely hilarious how she got all of the woke SJW's on twitter to go after Tony Khan, the woke guy who puts Sami Zayn to shame and begin calling him racist. That thread actually made me laugh out because he immediately had to list every single active POC on his roster including himself, he threw her under the bus as he rightfully should, and then randomly plugged Rampage. For all the times I've laughed at TK, for once I have to admit he was actually right, and in the case Big Swole wasn't just working the woke IWC into going after TK to whiteknight her, she is just pulling the boring race card. I'm a brown dude myself and if I were a good wrestler, which she is not, I would want people to like me for my talent, not my race. Now, let's get into why Swole is just not a good wrestler. She can't throw a decent strike, she can't wrestle competently for more than 5 minutes, she constantly botches, just watch any of the compilations on YT. What is her character, just doing boring poses and pretending like she's athletic. Zero charisma, obviously can't talk on the mic, AEW lost nothing of value. I never want to watch her wrestle again, I've seen enough to warrant such a low rating. Man, she just can't wrestle plain and simple. Try and watch any of her longer matches and tell me you could get through it without shaking your head in pity."

[2.0] "Honestly just not good for the most part. It's of no fault of her own for the most part, having Crohn's Disease must be an absolute killer. She was decent in WWE, but her time in AEW was not good. I feel kind of bad giving her this low of a rating, but again, she wasn't good in the ring at all in her more recent stages. I will say though, she had lots of charisma. I would've enjoyed her being a manager or another on-screen official of some kind."

[1.0] "In an industry where wrestlers are craving more creative control and not having to follow mundane scripts and storylines, Swole went out of her way to complain about having to be creative in a sport that is essentially creative story telling. She tried to imply that there is some kind is some kind of sublte discrimination or racism backstage that lead to her leaving, when the owner of the company said no it was because of her wrestling ability she played victim. If you are going to make serious allegations like that could damage a companies reputation you should be prepared to get harsh responses back. I can't believe all of a sudden people care about her just because she played the race card when she couldn't deliver in AEW and was let go"

[7.0] "I always liked Swole, very charismatic and a good talker. Her in ring performance can be hit or miss but she has progressed over time and will likely continue to do so. The response to her recent interview seems wildly overblown, she was largely positive about AEW and merely pointed out there is room for improvement, which I think is not so hard to swallow."

[4.0] "Big Swole was a very ordinary wrestler. She had a little bit of charisma, but nothing more. She had the oppurtinity to prove that she could be in the top of the AEW women's division when the division was weak, but she was not able to prove it."

[3.0] "It's thankfully been a long time since I last saw Swole on TV, so I can't actually remember whether her in-ring work was just 'bad' (4) or 'really bad' (3). I do remember her trying to get over with her strong attitude but almost always instead embarrassing herself with her sloppy and botch-filled offence. She wasn't much different to most of the other AEW women in that regard, but her weaknesses were far more obvious because of the relative push she got in the form of matches against all the top women in the company (Nyla, Britt, Shida), sometimes even multiple matches. What solidifies her being a 3 is what's recently been revealed about her personality, as she made completely baseless and ill-intentioned accusations about the company that gave her far more screen time and money than her skill level indicated she deserved. At best, her comments simply accused AEW of being accidentally oblivious and therefore stupid, and at worst they accused AEW of being actively discriminatory. Her comments were also just incredibly offensive to the very group of people she was attempting to stand up for, since their existence and status in AEW completely flattened the narrative she was trying to push, so they were therefore discarded as 'not good enough' and 'not TRULY reflective of their group'. Swole easily could have professed this (still, in my opinion, misguided) position without attacking her previous employer in the process. Instead of taking the positive outlook ("I want to see more x! That'd be cool! ") she took the negative, attacking approach ("why don't you have more x' You're a bad person because you don't have as much x as I personally think is sufficient, and the x you DO have I will just discount as not being good enough"). It's a shame that our culture has allowed such mindsets as Swole's to become as popular as they are. She was basically just annoyed that AEW didn't push her further, even though her wrestling skills were very minimal, she was barely over to any real extent, AND she was still over-pushed as it was. Instead of taking responsibility for her own lack of success and striving to be better at her job, she instead decided to play the last, most distasteful card in her deck as a feeble attempt to protect her ego. I've seen another person online best describe this whole situation here: "[Swole] got exactly what she wanted. She wanted to be seen as a martyr like she walked away from AEW, when in reality the influx of new talent overshadowed her because she couldn't thrive in an environment where creative freedom and initiative are how you get ahead". Swole didn't quit out of 'moral duty' in response to perceived unfairness or any of that nonsense; she was let go because, as Tony Khan said, her wrestling wasn't good enough."

[1.0] "It tainted his career after he tried to discredit his former company, entering a place where you could only find trouble. So it is inevitable to lower his rating."

[1.0] "She just left AEW and I wish her the best especially in dealing with her medical condtion. Now as for actual wrestling ability she's beyond terrible. One of the worst female performers signed to a major company in NA. She's never had a good match and she even managed to have a terrible one against Shida, who's incredible. If she's gonna be on the indies next, I hope that helps her improve, because she really needs to. 1 point because she tries really hard."

[2.0] "Unfortunately I just don't think Swole is any good. It would benefit her massively if she got out there every weekend working indies because little 5 minute matches on Dark isn't going to help her."

[8.0] "5'4 battling a disease and still pursuing her career. An inspiration to many. I hope she has a long career in AEW. I would love to see more of her tag work. They paired her with 'Lil Swole' Nicole Savoy for a short while but it was too brief."

[1.0] "Big Swole I dont want to dislike her and I give her credit to be able to wrestle while having crohn's disease. Unfortunately she is dreadful her matches are sloppy she botches all the time."

[4.0] "If I was rating her on swagger and commitment to her character, she'd be a 12/10. Sadly, she doesn't have great promo skills to go with her character. She's also not very great in the ring. She's a striker who isn't especially good at strikes, and doesn't do much else. I think she has a ways to go before she can hang with some of the other workers on the roster, which is a shame considering her obvious charisma."

[2.0] "Sloppy matches and full of botches. Swole has a huge ego but in-ring and with promos she is very bad. One of the worst AEW signings."

[2.0] "Wanted to like her but she's shown absolutely nothing in her time in AEW. A weak link of the women's roster."

[4.0] "If I was rating her on her name alone, she'd get a zero. This has to be right up there with Meat & GI Bro for worst ring names of all time. She's still pretty young in her career, but I have serious doubts that she will ever fully "get" wrestling. She's awkward in both promos & in ring work. She has passing glimpses of charisma, but you almost immediately forget that when she does something absolutely head scratching."

[3.0] "seems very likable and i want her to succeed but she is not ready for TV yet from what i can see. Hopefully her work behind the scenes will start to show."

[2.0] "One of the most annoying and obnxious talents on TV right now. In ring she's not TOO bad, but I find her character a bit uninspired and as a person she comes across as very arrogant in shoot interviews. I really can't understand why AEW have been so high on her in recent weeks because in my opinion, she is the weak link of their women's division."

[3.0] ""Strongly underwhelming" is how I would call Big Swole. I have gone from being pretty excited about her to being constantly underwhelmed: great presentation and good buildup, but her matches keep on being disappointing and her promo skills are much weaker than I expected and she seems to be struggling finding a character that fits her. Yes, she has four years in the business but let's remember how good Tessa Blanchard (a nice piece of work but otherwise a very good wrestler) was four years into the business. Big Swole seems to be improving, but at such a slow pace you have to wonder when she will be able to be considered at least a competent midcarder. Honestly I don't blame Big Swole for her predictament: while the AEW male roster is incredible (doubly so considering the WWE has stockpiled so much indie talent in their feeder leagues), outside of Hikaru Shida, Riho and Serena Deeb the AEW female roster is mostly composed of not exactly stellar workers like Big Swole, who would be perfectly fine in an indie but who stick out like a sore thumb in such a large wrestling organization."

[5.0] "She is fine as a character and decent enough in the ring due to her athleticism. Most of her moves look smooth, like the step-in-the-ring-cutter or whatever it is called, but some other times she looks a bit goofishly uncoordinated. Her backstage promo vignettes on BTE and her sitdown interview showed potential for a great character, but her live promos so far were not really good and it is hard for me to understand what her character really is supposed to be. Both she and AEW have to do a better job accentuating her goals."
