[9.0] "You have to know what you are in for with these two in the ring. Expecting something other than high-flying and fast action is on you. If you didn't like his style, stop watching ospreay and PAC and watch what you enjoy. What a hot start with PAC doing his moves and ospreay countering everything. Great double down into slapfest. Match within a match is pac vs ref. Great innovative sequences that are unseen before. The German on the apron was big, the neck is a great story. PAC is also selling his ass off on this one."
[8.0] "So being truly honest, this match is solid and should be watch.Lot of stuff I like with the spots these guys did, my only problem was lack of selling of Ospreay of his shoulder, when he took the hardest bumps"
[10.0] "Fantastic match that lived up to the expectations from these two greats. I was really glad to see the psychology here, as Pac focused on the injured neck of Will, with repeated poisonranas, including one on the damn apron. Will was his usual electric self, and he makes everything look smooth and effortless here. Pac looked strong too, and I don't know if the double pin was intended or not, but either way, it could've given him an out following the match. *****"
[10.0] "Two high-flying sensation showcasing that they're not just "flippy flip". Amazing sequences that will feed generations. Ospreay doesn't get enough credits for how good he is at landing a match's ending so perfectly almost everytime. This match also showcased how stacked AEW roster is, that a match with Ospreay and PAC was a mid-card match in the event. Crazy stuff. Another All Out banger for PAC. Can't wait for when Ospreay finally got the world title only for PAC to show up and sneak poisonrana him again."
[9.0] "A ridiculous match that Ospreay should not have survived, and went overboard in that regard - especially when it came to the damage to the head and neck. Still, the match was enjoyable enough with some tense near-falls and high-octane lucha libre-inspired sequences. Even despite the bit of gratuity, the last five minutes are utterly insane and well worth watching for that time alone. [****.75]"
[9.0] "I had sky high expectations for this one because I adore Pac and I love Ospreay and somehow they managed to exceed them. Beautiful high flying spots. Shame there was no kid in the audience for Pac to antagonize. Get well soon, Bastard. And come back to us."
[10.0] "That one move itself deserves a ten. If you've seen the match you know the exact flip I'm talking about. Pac's hands didn't even touch the mat. If you are reading this and haven't seen this match, stop everything and watch this match. Really the whole show is worth a watch."
[9.0] "I've heard many people really loved this match and I've been wanting to watch this for a while, and after finally getting to watch it, I can say it was a pretty good match. It started off slow, but then picked up. Now I can see why people love this match. It was very fast pacing towards the end."
[10.0] "extremely entertaining match. pac and ospreay are both incredible in-ring and this match is just both of them showing off how good they are. amazing spots and athleticism throughout. easily five stars."
[3.0] "I took MJF for granted during his matches with Ospreay. Because now I get to truly feel a match fully designed for Ospreay. So much high flying, pedal to the metal stuff that I just get tired. Ospreay comes out to a huge pop. Dude starts the match with running between ropes and no selling offense. It's like jokes write themselves at this point. He no sells the tackle and then no sells the snapmare. They do some more gymnastics routine which is a persistent feature of Ospreay matches. It is so stupid in kayfabe because how come every opponent knows his counter? It only makes him look stupid in character. They do even more high flying after the stuff with planchas and backflips and whatnot. I want to point out that no grounded wrestling has occurred yet and it's been minutes since the match started. Then they do that slap fight spot. Ospreay tells PAC to stand up for the next spot in front of the camera lol. Very amateurish. Then they restart the no selling sequence once again. And then comes the part which is Ospreay's favorite. The false finishes. They both start throwing kitchen sink and by that I mean they hit multiple finishers to each other for 2 counts. Crowd is ready for the finish but they go on to next finisher.. Then some more and then some more. Ospreay hit so many finishers it was crazy. His hidden blade is a joke at this point. He never wins with a single hidden blade. Then when the crowd is a little tired from all this false finish spots they do the actual finish. Just pure self indulgence from Ospreay's part and nothing else."
[10.0] "I just watched it right now to give a comment in my ranting and...wow. I didn't remember this being so fucking good, sorry Ospreay and PAC for my memory be so bad. Will Ospreay has a lot of issues in his style in ring that a lot of people don't like and that make them don't appreciate very often his matches, as a example, I can say the (sometimes) lack of selling, he using 5 finishers everytime...there's a lot of things to be mad at when it comes to him and it's totally fine if he's not your thing, okay. But if you wanna start to enjoy him, but want a "clean" version of Ospreay...Adrian Neville also known as PAC is the choice for you. A complete wrestled able to do anything you can imagine in the ring and even the things you don't. I surely wasn't expecting to see a RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX in the apron, you know? But well, this match was exactly what I expected, a fantastic showing of abilities but both wrestlers in different areas, except the technical one, which is totally understandable. Dude, you have Ospreay and PAC at the same mat and you wanna see them grappling and making arm submissions? Go watch a Zack Sabre Jr match instead lol. Anyway, best match of All Out and for sure a five stars match for me. For some reason during a long time I wasn't really thinking that this was a five stars match, but now I don't have a reason to not believe, they literally didn't miss any spot."
[0.0] "That was a horrible match, I just don't get it at all. Did anyone see what I saw ? , I just don't understand how this is a good match. Like always ospreay with no selling at all. This is just awful man it's not make any sense this whole thing, they literally just throwing a lot of moves without any selling. This is terrible. I don't like this at all it actually have a lot of bad stuff if you focus with the match you will realize the bunch of bad stuff here. This is just not my thing. This style is not bad but if u didn't sell you could make anything bad without selling. So it's not about the style here. PAC is also surprisingly not satisfying here."
[8.0] "A solid match between to great wrestlers. This one really gets the crowd going for the night, and Ospreay is his usual best in this one. The beginning was a little slow and misguided, in a sense, but it soon picks up to a frenetic pace. One too many false finishes, but overall, an incredibly solid match with much enjoyment."
[10.0] "My God. Will Ospreay is one of a kind, and he proves it time after time. When it comes to Will Ospreay's matches, he doesn't need a dance partner at all. The man can put out a banger match even with Yoshihiko. Having said that, Pac was the best/perfect dance partner for Ospreay. With what we just witnessed, a best out of 7 series is a must. Infinite/10"
[5.0] "This was a standard Ospreay match. It's the same stuff he always does, which is okay, I like Ospreays style but every now and then you have to try something new and this is the same Ospreay match we have seen for the past few months. Let me make one thing clear though, I love Ospreay, this is just a case of him not doing anything new or innovative in the match. If your new to his matches, this is a good place to start because he doesn't do anything too crazy and it's an easy watch. Just try to set aside the more outlandish aspects of his styles."
[6.0] "This is just a throw-away match for me. For the combined athleticism, creativity, and wrestling acumen these two have there's no reason for them to just go through the most simple possible match. They both hit their signature stuff to get the crowd to pop but there's no really creative stuff in here which is disappointing to say about these guys."
"I was in the building with my best friend for this show. It was an overall excellent event, but the crowd may have reached its hottest point during this very match. Will at this time was really on a good little streak of delivering almost an inhuman level of in-ring acumen. PAC is almost always the underrated underdog (or so it seems), but he never lacks effort. While it contains all of the high spots you'd expect from these two, I felt like both men paced themselves well, and allowed for time and space to let things breathe. Just about as modern as 2024 in-ring professional wrestling gets, in my opinion. Highly recommended."
[9.0] "The pacing was strange in the beginning which led to some inconsistencies but these two locked in towards the end to showcase their incredible arsenals and frankly do things that only the two of them can do together. Really great finishing sequence here that saved the match from otherwise slipping into a case of just doing too much."
[8.0] "A super fun spot fest, but one that still manages to feel like a fight. Both of these guys have athletic flippy styles but Ospreay is so clean with it and PAC makes this sort of thing look so hard hitting that their styles compliment each other. Super hot crowd for this too. Doesn't have the emotional hook to make this an all time classic, but for this kind of match idk how else they could've improved it."
"Shocking to see the typical "Ospreay doesn't sell (insert spot) well enough for my liking later in the match, therefor forget everything else this match wasn't for me, meh, lets give it a 6" takes already coming in. Unbelievable. Every match the guy has is praised by the critics, highly rated, gets all sorts of props/respect from peers/fellow wrestlers not to mention 99% of the fans out there love the action and constantly rate his matches with 5(or more) stars and/or 9+ here on cagematch. Yet here we go again with that 1% that somehow come away bored/not liking what they see. Let me say this to you....YOU are the problem. If pro wrestling of this caliber doesn't entertain you then you don't understand what you're watching. It literally boggles my mind that someone who calls themselves a pro wrestling fan can watch a match like this....and come away unimpressed. Maybe you guys should try watching something else, idk....but this is the modern style of wrestling, and its not just Ospreay. There's gonna be a lot, and i mean A LOT of hard hitting spots/moves throughout your typical AEW/NJPW PLE match(and usually these matches are 20-30 minutes long too if not longer)....and in order to make this concept come off as entertaining and visually pleasing as possible you can't always play dead/render yourself immobile and lifeless/unable to keep up the pace that's required after every big move your opponent hits on you. And its not like Will and others that wrestle this same way don't still show NOTICEABLE amounts of fatigue and pain as these matches carry on and on and wind down towards the finish. There is still more than enough "selling" to go around. But oh lets forget all of that just because he doesn't emphatically sell a hard bump on the apron 8 minutes into the match. smh You guys are missing the entire point here, and/or are focusing in on the wrong details. This match, fwiw, was sensational. I was lucky enough to see it live in person and can't wait to watch the replay. Ospreay and PAC have such great chemistry and they didn't disappoint. I'd give this a 9.5. It was THAT good. Outstanding finish too, wasn't overbooked, not too many near falls/kick outs, and it was 100% clean without any BS interference. Classic stuff. Ospreay is can't miss entertainment right now. A living legend in his prime. And PAC works with him as well as anyone I've seen."
[8.0] "I mostly enjoyed this match because of PAC. The dude was HELL-BENT on crippling Ospreay and taking his title. There was a few cool moments in this match besides PAC's evil dedication but then it goes away because Ospreay starts no-selling his neck again. He takes a hurricanrana out of a Stormbreaker attempt and instead of selling his injured neck, he just rolls back and deadlifts PAC into a styles clash. Ospreay's selling is still flawed and I don't know how he's still flawed in that region. EDIT: Upon a rewatch, I think I slightly over-judged this. The spot mentioned prior is still a bit much but Ospreay does sell his neck more than I originally noticed. PAC still stole the show in this, though."
[9.0] "Another absolute banger match from Ospreay this time with one of my personal favorites in PAC. They both had great offense and defense and it really had that big match feel. Overall I really enjoyed this match and hope to see them get back in to the ring at some point. Also the year Ospreay has had is amazing, all of his PPV matches this year have been fantastic."
[8.0] "I grew out of this type of match over 15 years ago, but there is no doubt that I would choose one of these guys or both if I wanted to see a psycho movefest with minimal botches. Ospreay has had a great run in AEW so far."
[10.0] "Perfektes Match.Die Paarung genau das gehalten was ich mir erhofft habe, durchgehend ein sehr hohes Tempo, saubere Action, tolle Konter und einige super knappe Nearfalls.20 Minuten die ruckzuck vorrüber waren. *****"
[9.0] "A fantastic match, my favorite of the night. PAC and Ospreay showed a amazing chemistry again, like they had in previous encounters outside of AEW. I understand that not everyone enjoys this kind of wrestling; I do, and matches like this are incredible in my eyes. (****3/4)."
[10.0] "Coming out of a deep and lengthy depression, this match made me feel alive again. Made me remember why I fell in love with professional wrestling. It made me question why I'd fallen out of love with it in the first place. As Nigel McGuinness perfectly stated, this was the pinnacle of the sport of professional wrestling. A breathtaking story told in immaculate form by two of the best wrestlers on the planet. A mystifying display of athletic capabilities and in-ring innovation. A horrifying example of the brutality the best must be capable of to reach the top. A five-star classic in every sense of the phrase, with decades of history providing a challenge these two not only happily took on, but exceedingly lived up to. 5 stars, 10 out of 10. An all-timer in every sense."
[10.0] "There's everything in this match, it's really complete. I felt like I was getting a shot of adrenaline at every moove, it was excellent. PAC proves once again that he's extremely undersized, he deserves a lot more and Will Ospreay is just the best in the world right now."
[9.0] "I really want to say that it is rare you see genuine technical prowess in a high stakes, high octane match like this, but there wasnt a lot of that. However, there was a genuine display of ring psychology and counters that showcase the amazing capabilities of both of these professional wrestlers. What more needs to be said, that hasnt already been discussed? It is a spot fest, but a spot fest at its absolute zenith. Genuinely amazing contest between PAC and Ospreay. ****1/2"
[9.0] "This is an excellent fight. I was surprised by the slow beginning but they knew what they were doing. PAC heavily focused Ospreay's neck and it led to crazy poisonranas. If there's two spots to remember, they're PAC's. Between the Poisonrana on the apron and the Liger Bomb countered into a Frankensteiner, you have your money worth. Ospreay kind of embodies the International championship and what it means in terms of workrate. Not a MOTY but definitely an excellent one."
[10.0] "Pac & Ospreay, two of the greatest flyers are displaying it clear as days and it was such a great back and fourth trying to break their neck to get the win and the amount of finishes who's in the match was crazy, an awesome match up!"
[10.0] "Two of the most talented wrestlers flexing their high flying skills while having perfect match structure. What I especially loved was Ospreay selling better than ever before and Pac countering almost everything Ospreay threw at him."
[9.0] "High risk, high reward! Of the matches I watched on All Out (I've only seen up to this one), this is the was the peak of it. What Ospreay and PAC did was what you expected Ospreay and PAC to do, which was launch themselves and their opponents hither and yon and doing so with the greatest of ease. It's a style that may not work for everyone, but it damn sure worked for me."
[9.0] "As much as i hate the no selling at times, I cant deny that i was thoroughly entertained by this match. The sequence ending with the liger bomb and the closing sequence got a huge pop from me as did the near falls. PAC IS SO FUCKING GOOD"
[8.0] "really solid match in a vacuum but this ~super epic~ NJPW "this match should have ended 4 times before it actually ended" style of ospreay match is starting to lose its luster. when you watch a will ospreay match, you are guaranteed to get a quality match, but you will have seen all of it in last ospreay match you watched. would like to see will do something different like a 20+ minute tag match or a ladder match or a cage match or something. these long drawn out singles matches with all of the same spots as the last one are starting to get old."
[9.0] "This match was pure adrenaline. I'm not sure where to begin. Will Ospreay is having one of the greatest runs in recent professional wrestling history, and Pac is somebody who is able to push Ospreay to the limit. There was so many insane sequences in this match; some great high-flying, some great striking, there's a lot to cover here. Os-Cutter onto the apron countered into a German Suplex which looks it kills Ospreay, the follow-up Poisonrana, so many counters, so many near-falls/false finishes that have you convinced the match is over. The Hidden Blade kick-out is always great, because the Hidden Blade is such a devastating looking move, it is always going to pop me to see someone kick out of it. And the finishing Hidden Blade was no exception, he just knocked the shit out of him with it. This match was awesome, I loved it. It's so good. 9/10."
[10.0] "Completely turned a bad crowd around. Some of the moves, sequences and strikes they hit were the best I've seen. Not too much new or innovative stuff, but everything hit with such venom, especially the late offence."
[9.0] "A fun and great blend of "anything you can do I can do better", a showing of the similarities of the two, some smooth and cool moves and counters and focus on an already damaged body part. Especially Ospreay has pretty much perfected mixing the modern wrestling with stunning maneuvers with telling a good matchstory in its core."
[6.0] "The sequence they start us off with is nice, but the consequent Twisting Moonsaults just instantly take me out of the immersion. How are they so out of it so early, after almost no damage at all, to allow themselves to be hit with a top rope move that needs such time to be setup? Why aren't they moving away or pushing the other guy off the top? How do you suggest they're being competitive and trying to win matches when you can see with your plain eye that they're incompetent? The strikes come out, and to me, wrestlers that cannot grapple and wrestle, they need to resort to strikes. Most of the time strikes end up looking bad, either because they obviously need to pull their punches, or because it doesn't make sense because strikes can be lethal in real-life, so here they're just obviously phony. When they make the counters and sequences smooth and fast-paced, it does look great, and they add nice impact and detail to the big moves. Ospreay especially has the pop-off to blow spectator expectations out of arenas, which makes many of his matches great. I like that the crowd was appreciative and the atmosphere was spectacular. Unfortunately without much grappling or time on the mat, this one boils down to a spotfest, albeit an impressive one with some fresh ideas. I didn't feel much on first viewing, and on 2nd viewing I like it a bit more, but still think this is far from being memorable."
[2.0] "Another day, another beloved Ospreay match that I just didn't care for, that represents everything that I'm least interested in when it comes to the world of wrestling. It's athletic, by god is it athletic, don't get me wrong, and the crowd gobbles it up, the critics, most people love it so it's not like they are doing something wrong overall, they are just doing something wrong for *me* specifically. To me it looked exactly the same as every other big Ospreay match for years, the only variable is whether he will hit 26 or 27 finishers in the final stretch, no matter who his opponent is it runs pretty much exactly the same. To me it's robotic, it's in a void, things just happen and they don't really mean a thing but by god, a whole lot of things happen, so be it."
[5.0] "I simply don't like the way Ospreay wrestles, so this was not a satisfactory experience for me. It was in fact a very annoying experience. The long string of near falls at the end felt especially masturbatory. I particularly disliked how there were so many moves of that kind where the untrained eye would not know who is even supposed to be doing it to whom. Besides annoyance it just did not make me feel anything, which seems to be a running theme for Ospreay. Some 10/10 review here said it's "like you are watching 2 robots performing". I could not have said it better myself!"
[10.0] "i feel like every week im going on here talking about how osperay just had possibly the best in ring AEW match of all time. And yes here i am once again saying those exact words. This is down right incredible. Nothing about this needs to be changed by any means. It lived up to the hype 100 percent. Im sitting here hoping we get a second match or better yet at wrestledream and three way with these two and ricochet. God this is phenomenal. 5 stars obviously"
[10.0] "Another stellar match from PPV Ospreay. Ospreay in my opinion is the best wrestler in the world. How he continues to put on this high quality of matches doesn't make sense to me. He is one of the most reliable wrestlers in the world and his PPV matches in AEW this year have ranged from REALLY GOOD to THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH (in the best way.) PAC deserves a ton of credit here too. It always sucks when really talented wrestlers deal with injuries so it's been great to see him back and putting on matches of this caliber. That brainbuster of the top rope was disgusting. Ospreay winning was a foregone conclusion but that wasn't crossing my mind watching this. It's always a treat to watch two of the most talented wrestlers in the world show off their ability in this way."
[7.0] "This is a good match, but in my opinion it is overrated. he match had some good sequences, there were some not bad nea rfalls, but firstly, the match lacked intrigue, which affects the perception one way or another the same near falls, and secondly, this match is more of a spotfest. I understand that both have a big Highflyer past, but now they are not, so I expected a good fight between two established wrestlers, but in the end, this match was slightly better than their spotfest in RevPro. In general, one of the main reasons why I cant give a higher rating is disappointment in my own expectations."
[10.0] "The match between Will Ospreay and PAC was absolutely phenomenal! Their high-flying moves, incredible agility, and non-stop action kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Both wrestlers displayed unmatched skill and athleticism, delivering jaw-dropping moments one after another. The chemistry between them was electric, making it a must-watch for any wrestling fan. A true spectacle!"
"(10.0) Okay, Will, just stop being this awesome, because you are making everyone else look mid in comparison! Seriously this was everything we could've hoped and more, PAC and Ospreay are just two of the best in the world atm. Perfect game of "everything you do, I can do it better" to start and then on to the BIG BOMBS: posionrana on the apron, oscutters, reversals, counters...everything executed with such precision and timing that it really feels like you are watching 2 robots performing, flawless. What I liked the most is that they did not overdo the fighting spirit adrenaline rush, like other Ospreay matches have done, and that they ended the match at the peak. Top 5 MOTY, kudos to both men."
[10.0] "Will Ospreay vs PAC for the AEW International Championship was an absolutely sensational encounter that had unbelievable chemistry and stunning sequences throughout. Ospreay has up to as many as 5 MOTYCs, but this was up there with any one of them. He brought the goods in what was more of a PAC match. PAC may be the most underrated wrestler in the world today. The Bastard is a spectacular performer who can go move for move with one of the greatest wrestlers of this generation. Fantastic match in every way possible (*****+)."
[9.0] "9.25/10. MOTN for me and is up there with the Danielson and Takeshita matches. I have problems with Osperay for sure but when he's in there with someone who can match his insane pace no one does what he does better."
[9.0] "Unflinching in its approach, this match is a spectacle with two high flyers flexing their bag as they breathtakingly execute their moves with awe-inspiring precision. Outside of that, there is not much else to it. There is a superficial thread of Pac working Will's injured neck, however, it's like when you drink sparkling flavored water there are hints of the advertised flavor but not a bold taste, that is how Pac working the neck feels here as it doesn't hinder any of Ospreay's execution or cause any change in his game plan. The early going of the opening stretch lied to be as it seemed like they were setting up for Pac to find a way to halt Will as he kept maneuvering himself out of harm's way with his athleticism, but then, Pac went for the Sky Twister and this quickly became a back and forth oneupmanship of high flying offense. That said, this match is fantastic for what it is. ****1/2"
[10.0] "Absolutely phenomenal match and the best of AEW All Out (2024), both men had absolutely stellar in ring action and chemistry between them and they put on an insane high flying masterclass."
[10.0] "Easily match of the night and quite possibly match of the year for me. Love the "Anything you can do, I can do" narrative especially with two talents that have such amazing chemistry. Pac's disruption of the of the crowds pre lock up cheering was brilliantly heelish and Ospreay is just a babyface fire machine at the moment. The fact that most people understand what kind of match you're going to get get out of these two and yet they still manage to pull a surprise out during almost every sequence just goes to show you're watching two generational talents doing what they do best"
[9.0] "As has become a trend with Ospreay on PPV, probably the night's peak in terms of crowd response. Considering the matchup, that's even less surprising than usual, with this delivering in the exact fashion that you'd imagine. The offence here is among the best you'll see all year, ticking every box from effortless timing to sheer snap. It's absurd to me that PAC can still have a match like this on any given night, as it had been a while since he'd gone so far in this direction. He not only plays that music here, but does so as a total equal to Ospreay. I don't know if there was much depth to this beyond an outright fireworks display, but when those fireworks look this cool, I'm not sure that there has to be. Great match, a total crowd-pleaser. ****1/4"
[9.0] "The high flying equivalent to an ECW bomb fest. An almost stupid level of athleticism is displayed during this match. The poisonranas were gut wrenching at times. I don't usually love Will's anime rana spot where he lands on his feet but it worked here for me for some reason. The Storm Driver into the pin into the Styles Clash is one of the coolest crowd moments of the year easily and made for a fantastic finish. Loved this. **** 3/4"
[7.0] "Probably the best Will Ospreay match since he came to AEW. Incredible bits of athleticism as is expected from these two. Pac's hurracanranna counters were jump off the couch level moments. Pac is the perfect foil for Will as he can match him athletically while also keeping things grounded."
[3.0] "I wish I didn't had to write a whole ass paragraph about this match just to validate my rating but that's the game. It's another Ospreay match and I'm honestly very tired of it, it's not something that I hate but minus some occasional moves that hit very hard, I'm just bored by what they're doing in the ring. They execute things incredibly well and all but those things seem to work the opposite way, I get it man Ospreay is some sort of superman who will tank any kind of move, but by doing that it just removes all the weight and tension that they could build. Why bother with neck work if after kicking it he will do a flip and hit a springboard cutter? Why do so many incredible moves that always fail to move me or make me believe that this will end the match? Those matches feel like they are much more interested in showing off the wrestler capabilities than anything else."
[9.0] "A singles match between these two has been a dream match since Ospreay started wrestling. Their match in Rev Pro when Pac left WWE has great but that wasn't the same Ospreay that walked into All Out. My only drawback from this match was that the story going into the match didn't make a Pac victory very believable. But amazing work from two of the best is always a must watch."
[9.0] "Pac making his case for why he is the most underutilized wrestler in AEW in this match. Excellently performed, great athleticism, and managed to hit another gear late in the match. My minor nitpicks was that the match was lacking a little bit of emotion, and that I didn't think that Pac was a credible enough challenger stand a chance of dethroning Ospreay. Given the extremely high bar of top tier AEW PPV matches that was enough for me to knock it down a point, but still an immensely fun match and another instant Ospreay classic."
[10.0] "Fucking hell, Ospreay, why are you SO good? This match was even slightly better than I expected, but not by much. Just because you know it will be one of the best of the year. PAC is fantastic and incredible, when you actuaully give him a chance. The moves he pulls off are great, but it's how snappy and coordinated and hyper-smooth everything is is what makes this match. Every single move looked amazing, PAC showed off a lot of fire and Will was and eventually did upstage him as the story of the match progressed. The final stretch of the match was pure, liquid modern professional wrestling. I fucking loved this match, and I encourage anyone and evereone to watch it. 5.25*"
[8.0] "I absolutely loved this match. While Ospreay's style isn't my favourite, it still appeals to me a lot and his work with PAC here was just absolutely tremendous. I think this could have laid out a better in-ring story to make it even greater, but you can't go wrong with that they delivered on either."
[9.0] "another match of the year contender by will and it probably isn't in his top 3 of the year. a well done build given only 2-3 weeks with will selling the neck and their history from rev pro and going to japan early in their career. the german on the apron was horrible from how will sold it and then the poisonrana as well. the moonsault that will reversed and then pac hit a ddt was great as well as the top rope poisonrana reversal. my favourite reversal is always the powerbomb into the full flip hurricanrana, the ending was excellent with another reversal into a styles clash and then the hidden blade. this really woke the crowd u after being quiet for the first two matches *****1/4"
[8.0] "****3/4 a very great match, a very great rhythm, a very great escalation of rhythm, great intensity, great chemistry, very great sequences, and some incredible spots, they managed to equal and surpass (at least a little) his first match, the ending was a very good sequence that ends in a Hidden Blade to the back of the head, the best ****3/4 match this year"
[10.0] "This is my AEW match of the year so far. What did these guys not do? Every moment and action felt like it was building towards a grand conclusion. This match felt like a Tokyo Dome main event with how much these guys were doing. I can see people being upset with the standard "Too Much Flip" from Will but they have to let that go. This is a great match. It's the only match from the PPV that I plan to rewatch again later to see if I still have it as my MotY."
[10.0] "These two gotta be from another planet like how do they do the things that they do? I know everyone including me expected this match to bang and it still exceeded expectations. The deadlift german on the apron and then a poisonrana is probably my favorite sequence of the whole show. This was a MOTY candidate imo."
[10.0] "This was very, very good. A classic match between two high-flyers that definitely deserves a 10. I think that Ospreay is getting better at things like selling when comparing this match to some of his earlier AEW ones, and I think that's really good, since it was my main criticism of him. The beginning had a bit of gymnastics routines and stuff, but it quickly picked up. There were some amazing counters in here as well, and overall it was a really fun match."
[10.0] "Absolutely amazing match. The only downside is that there is no story in this match like many other Aew classics. Sometimes I ignore this when rating and now I'm going to ignore it. Definitely 10/10"
[9.0] "I'm a harsh critic of Will Ospreay, but credit where it's due, his match with PAC was awesome. Both men gave their all in a breath taking display of athleticism and good sequences of moves and counters. I do question the finish happening after one too many finishers and the weird moment where they both had their shoulders down and only PAC kicked out. In general, good chemistry, moments that made shout, and yet they did not do too much. My favorite Ospreay match in a long time, and my match of the night."
[9.0] "This would have been even more awesome if we had the build up of 4 weeks rather then two but I still like this match alot. The name of PAC and ospreay are enough for people to be hyped for this match and this match delivered indeed. Now I can't wait for ospreay vs ricochet"
[7.0] "Not my style of wrestling. Amazing visuals and gymnastics, terrible selling and psychology. I feel empty watching this match. Realistically I didn't care one bit when Ospreay retained his title after incredible performances from both men. I only give 7 for the effort, I'd never remember this match again; meanwhile the commentary team was saying this was one of the greatest matches ever lmao ok."
[10.0] "Absolutely phenomenal match from Will Ospreay and PAC. Two of the best high flyers today delivered a BANGER. The sequences they did were very good. They matched each other in athleticism, and it was a fast-paced match. Ospreay did a backflip from the top rope and hitting a hidden blade. Reversal of a stormbreaker, into a styles clash, then another hidden blade to the back of PAC's head. This was awesome."
[7.0] "I don't understand the 'GIF-ified' criticisms. I thought the match flowed well for what it was and structured in a way where it didn't feel dull and hollow between the big spots. Ospreay and PAC are tremendous athletes and getting matches of this calibre every time Ospreay gets a PPV match is a blessing. I will say Ospreays matches feel a little lazy to me, which I know is an ironic thing to say with the way he wrestles, but the dives and apron bumps are really predictable, just like the MJF match we had two apron bumps and it seems like when Ospreay wants a better match he just does more apron bumps and double downs. But again I thought this was great, especially since Ive wanted to see PAC have this kind of match forever."
[10.0] "A "what you can do I can do better" match done to perfection. No dull moments in this. Both guys trying to match each other and one up each other. Osperay taking some really nasty apron bumps including a poisonrana. And yet somehow the posionrana Pac did in the ring looked even more brutal. It was done with such force. Incredible reversal, incredible false finishes. Which I know isn't everyones cup of tea but they are mine. Goddamn phenomenal."
[10.0] "This match had me losing my mind. Pac is one of my 5 favourite wrestlers in the world right now and Ospreay ended up being a much better dance partner for him than I was expecting. I tend to much prefer guys like Pac/Ospreay vs big dudes rather than each other but if you're gonna put them against each other do it exactly like this. So many near-fall sequences that I just flat out have never seen before and moments that made me say holy shit out loud to myself. It felt like a constant barrage of absurd moments."
[9.0] "[4.5*] Neither Ospreay nor his style are my favorite ones. I usually underrate his matches in comparison to the platform because this is just not my stuff, specially on weekly shows. However, this match right here was fucking GORGEOUS. It is my MOTN, undoubtedly. I do not know the specific reason why I loved this one so much but I have a guess, maybe it is because the executions and the chemistry was just off the charts, specially from PAC. I think this is the main reason why I like PAC more than Will and why I think he is better. He does everything so smoothly, it looks like a piece of art. He gave Okada his best match in AEW which is something people do not talk about very much. There was a spot where Will did a Sasuke Special and PAC had to move to his right to catch him, while when PAC did his dive from the third rope to the outside it was so perfect Will just needed to stay there. Both guys did a wonderful job to make this match the hottest one at the Arena with the best atmosphere of the night and the ending stretch was just unbelievable with PAC hitting multiple Frankensteiners and kicking out of two Hidden Blades."
[10.0] "I mean I don't really see how you rate this anything but a 9 or a 10. A sensational match, adding to Ospreay's rolodex of fantastic matches this year. These two had a match after Pac was released from his previous company and due to political considerations in his new company, he was limited on what he could do. I was underwhelmed by that match, but here, in the same company, no restrictions, they really went all out and delivered probably MOTN. Some of the sequences and counters were so good, but it wasn't lightning quick like a Ricochet match, they were slower and methodical and more well laid out but still physically unbelievable. The finish may have been an 11/10, with Ospreay landing on his feet on a super poison rana, hitting a double jump Oscutter, getting dragon-rana'd out of a Storm Breaker, rolling through into a Styles Clash and then one of the funniest Hidden Blades of all time. A fantastic match that is worth going out of your way to see."
[10.0] "Masterclass of an athletic spot fest. Two of the most explosive wrestlers we've ever seen. The counters were insane and the nearfalls were perfect. I love a good story in pro wrestling but I also love when sometimes it's just two really dope masters of the craft going all out with nothing holding them back. This was perfect. This was exactly what I needed it to be."
[10.0] "Phenomenal match, probably the best of Osprey's in his AEW run. PAC was incredible, and the pairing was nothing short of masterful. The stuff that these two are capable of, genuine flips and contortions of their body, WITHOUT hurting themselves, almost defies logic. Whilst I've liked all of Osprey's matches, this is the fist time I've understood WHY people call him one of the best of all time - and it's a hell of a primer of just how good the Bastard really is."
[9.0] "Just an absurdly hot start breaking out some ridiculously technically and acrobatically impressive sequences that immediately get across what this match is about to be, and boy does it keep that heat up. As it moves out of the fast-paced acrobatics of the start, the match gets a little more slow, deliberate, and brutal, with PAC putting Ospreay through some tough bumps e.g. avalanche brainbuster and a few wild germans, including one on the apron while Ospreay finds his spots to break out some ridiculous reversals alongside his more typical dynamic offensive arsenal. The match picks up quite a bit as it heads into the end, with the boys whipping out some fantastic snap and poison 'ranas, some incredible technical sequences, and sell the desperation of the moment. All-in-all this was a fantastic match and hopefully the start of a strong rivalry (especially with Ricochet involved), 9/10."
[10.0] "Will Ospreay has like five matches you can consider as AEW Match of the Year but what a match, the chemistry between these two is amazing. Will Ospreay I can say is one of the best of this generation he can have a match with a broom and turn it into a five star match. Also, gonna give PAC his flowers as he had a great performance here."
[10.0] "***** Extraordinary athleticism on display here. I would love to show this match to a lapsed fan who hasn't watched since wrestling's boom period twenty-five years ago and see what they think. I watch on a weekly basis and was still amazed by what these guys were able to pull off. I haven't watched his matches against Omega in a while, but probably Pac's greatest AEW match at the very least. And Ospreay's run this year has been unbelievable. You could justifiably argue that this was only his fourth-best PPV match while in AEW."
[9.0] "Athletic spectacle, as expected. How can you get something other than that from putting these two together in the ring? You have to wonder what would happen with a longer build, but then again these aren't the guys you go to for an 8 week story before a PPV match."
[9.0] "these boys have CHEMISTRY. didn't really like the finish but the whole match outshines the finish completely. This is IT and I don't really enjoy AEW as much as others but this HIT"
[10.0] "Holy fuck, this match is brutal, and it's so unbelievably tight. Ospreay is seriously the best of this generation, but seriously at this point you already know that by now. Everything he does here is absolutely perfect, and it's insane that I wouldn't even consider this his best match of the year, he's just been that unbelievably incredible. PAC is so superb in this, and he really is best at being an absolute bastard. He's practically trying to inflict as much pain as he can to Ospreay's neck, and I've never seen such spots on the ring apron at such an exact angle that if done legitimately it could absolutely injure them. I am so happy PAC is getting way more attention and love, as he should, and his chemistry witih Ospreay is just incredible."
"This was so good. There's nothing like watching a five star match live and just enjoying it. The wrestling and the flips are cool but what really makes this match extra special are the counters. The counters to Ospreay's moves especially were stellar. There were awesome spots, there were brutal spots, there were flippy spots, just a great, fun, exciting match. The crowd yelling Styles Cash right as Ospreay was about to hit it, perfect. I like how this time the Styles Clash was used as an actual finish and not just some move. [*****]"
[9.0] "This is as good of this style of match you can have. I'm not really into the high flying stuff and ospreay can make me roll my eyes at times with the no selling but this match wasn't that. The crowd was thoroughly into this match and there were so many cool sequences and counters from both men. I also don't like multiple kickouts of the hidden blade. The crowd calling out the styles clash was very awesome too. Really good match."
Ein Match Of The Year Kandidat ! *****"
"Another Match of the Year candidate for Will Ospreay! Seems like these are piling up on American TV now that he's on air weekly! Even with him being ever present, it's still fascinating to watch and if imagine that doesn't change anytime soon! The announcers said it perfectly, Pac walked so Ospreay and Ricochet could run! Pac worked his behind off for this match and it's one of the best matches I've seen from Pac!"
[7.0] "Look. I think Will is probably the most valuable wrestler in the world from a fan's perspective. If you are paying for a ticket with him in a match on the card, you are going to get your money's worth. PAC is a beast but is kind of stuck at his spot on the card. This match was a crowd pleaser but their were problems. I usually dont get it on the Ospreay kick out hate bandwagon but really anytime someone is german suplexed on the apron and then immediately poisonrana'ed on the apron, that should be it."
"10/10 This is one if those matches that people will love or hate. Two guys that have absolutely crazy control of their bodies just going wild. For some it will be too fast and too much but I do enjoy this type of match when it's with guys like this. I thought it was the best match of the night and one of the most impressive matches I've seen in ages."
[6.0] "This was exactly what I expected it to be, so I can't really say I was disappointed by it but this style of wrestling isn't really my thing. Both of these guys can be great with the right opponent but they just bring out some of the worst in each other here. In terms of pure athletic ability, this is really impressive but that's where my appreciation for the match ends for the most part."
[6.0] "This was a good match. It lacked a heel/face dynamic to help make the match interesting. There were a few great spots, I loved the closing stretch. They lost me at about minute 12, it felt like there was about 7 minutes straight of 1-2 kickout. The kickout spot where Ospreay left his shoulders laying is worthy of a one point deduction, how am I supposed to take this seriously?"
[10.0] "TOO FAST FOR MY EYES! Ok, I knew this match was going to be a blast, you have 2 of the most agile wrestlers in the world and they delievered a match that was picture perfect. A LOT of high risk moves that were done perfectly, nothing more to say, YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS"
"(8.0) The most athletic match of the year as far as just pure ability. I prefer other Ospreay bouts and the Dynasty match with PAC and Okada is still likely my favorite PAC match this year but he's quite good here. Some crazy spots and bumps, insane counters which is always one of my favorite things. I just wish they let some stuff breathe more."
[10.0] "Twenty action packed minutes, this match flew by. This match was always going to be good, but the blew away expectations! The counters into pure athletic moves was brilliant. This match wasn't as good as Ospreay and Danielson, but this was still incredible. They just went out and did the most high energy match, easily the match of the night! Both men have very bright futures in the company and I hope they give Pac the push he has more than earned. Just an all around great match and match of the year candidate without a doubt."
"If you don't think Will Ospreay is the Best Wrestler In The World then I don't know maybe watch 80s or headlock wrestling. This match was insane like almost every Ospreay match"
[10.0] "I think we got to have that conversation that Pac is one of the greatest wrestlers who ever lived. The guy is just the smoothest wrestler I've ever seen and everything he does looks so fucking good all the time. Ospreay, of course, is no different. A once in a lifetime talent. These two put on one hell of a show here. Their chemistry was great and they put a phenomenal match. Just flawless wrestling all around from the get go to the very end. They started off trying to one-up with each other as they both hit a sky twister press on the oustide. "Everything you do, I do it better" type of thing and, then, they never looked back. They had some awesome exchanges and there were some really amazing spots. Pac hitting a german suplex and a poison 'rana on the apron was just diabolical. I liked the importance that was given to the poison 'rana during the match as the move led to a couple of nearfall. Pac, even, attemptes one from the top rope but Ospreay lands on his feet and hits a hidden blade. Pac counters a stormbreaker with a rana but Ospreay counters and hits a styles clash. Then, another hidden blade seals the deal for the Billy goat. Words never do justice to matches like this, just watch it. Trust me, it'll be worth it. Hopefully they will continue to give Pac opportunities like this. 10/10 - 5*/5*"
[3.0] "So this match just was not good, because of the usual issues with selling when it comes to Ospreay. A lot of this match was build around the story of Ospreay selling his taped up neck and PAC going after it with many high impact moves, including multiple poisonranas (one of them on the apron ! ), top rope brainbuster etc., and yet as often is the case it only impacted the way Ospreay wrestles as far as doing some delayed selling (touching his neck) after hitting the moves. Working over a body part can be in my opinion described as a pointless exercise when it has no impact on what a match is. In this case it just didn't matter and not because Ospreay was able to overcome the pain, but rather due to being seemingly impervious to pain, since the only way he expresses it in this match is by grabbing his neck and making facial expressions meaning to instill an idea that he's in pain to a viewer, but curiously he does not express being in pain in any other way nor does it impact him being able to hit all his moves. The way Ospreay sells his neck here is so flawed that it breaks immersion of a wrestling match, which is why the only way to interpret this match without breaking kayfabe would be to assume that in context of the match Ospreay in consciously pretending to be in pain, which does not make any sense considering the clear story being told here. Alas, that is where this match falls apart under the weight of its internal contradictions, as in tries too hard to be about Ospreay overcoming the neck injury and be an "epic banger" style of a match at the same time. Also the spot, where Ospreay lands on his feet off of top rope poisonrana is just another moment, where it's hard for me to suspend my disbelief, as his knees and ankles should be permanently injured after landing that way. *1/2*"
[8.0] "Sometimes these Ospreay matches just kinda do it for me and this match just happened to be one that I ended up enjoying. I think this kinda did take a while to fully get going but once it got out of second gear and they started doing poisonranas on the apron and shit this was good. A lot of the reason this worked so much for me is because Ospreay and Pac are both incredible bumpers. A lot of stuff during the brilliant final stretch just looked so brutal, like that German suplex on the apron from Pac which looked like it broke Ospreay in half. A lot of the sequences and counters were just cool as well; I don't care how overdone it is, the Stormbreaker into dragonrana will always get a pop out of me and there were two variations of that in this match. Didn't expect to enjoy this honestly but overall, I'm pleasantly surprised by how good this is. ****"
[10.0] "Two of the best wrestlers today giving us a tremendous fight that is undoubtedly the best between the two of them and one of the best overall for AEW. Entertaining, full of moments and never knew if Ospreay would retain, imagine how was the fight to keep that doubt being his first title defense."
[9.0] "Two of the greatest english wrestlers of all time collide on pay per view is something i've wanted to see for a while and this was the match bar the main event i was most excited for and was obviously expecting a 5 star banger did we get a five star match? no but it was damn close 4.75 in my opinion but ospreay is just incredible at what he does and what else do i need to say about PAC - i could sit here and hope they have a best of 7 series and for sure wouldn't be bored but this was close to a 5 star as anything's"
[10.0] "PAC deserves so much of his flowers. He's just as consistent and amazing to watch as Ospreay, sadly injuries and other issues have kept him from being in the spot light more often. Hopefully that doesn't stay that way and looks like there is a chance PAC will be involved in bigger angles and matches for the foreseeable future while Ospreay continues to be the undeniable best bout people's champion for now."
[9.0] "Even though they have met before, it is still considered a dream match for many, including for me. And of course, putting together two of the best in-ring wrestlers in the world against each other produced this incredible match. Even before the big spots, everything they did looked beautiful, even though it's their standard arsenal, the selling from both man (and especially PAC) sold it so much. And then the big spots, like the German Suplex/Frankensteiners and lighting-fast hurricanranas, which made my jaw drop. It's hard to get shocked by a big spot nowadays giving how saturated wrestling scene is today, but this one took it all the way. Overall, it's an incredible match from the beginning to the end. Hope it only means more great things for PAC in AEW."
[9.0] "What a wonderful match between those two, an absolute hoot, that was awesome. The contrast between this and some other Ospreay matches, like the ones against MJF couldn't be clearer, this was explosive and cohesive, everything functioned extremely well and it was a joy to watch, PAC is awesome, he was formidable here. The limb work to Ospreay's neck was fantastic, it didn't had necessarily a long term impactful selling, but the bumps were insane, damn, they looked painful as hell. The crowd was super into this match and it worked flawlessly, loved the little details like PAC going for a submission pressing the neck after the high risk bumps two times, and the reversals were crazy as well. Those two have a pretty awesome chemistry, special stuff - {****1/4}"
[10.0] "My scorecard at the event was 4.75 stars with room for growth due to lack of story, so 9.5 on Cagematch, but I feel like rounding up because the speed and crispness was greater than most other matches on the card."
[9.0] "Another classic Ospreay match. Fast paced and full of moves as expected. Only criticism being this match could have done with a bit of story during it."
[9.0] "it was an Ospreay match Bruv! what else did you expect? very exciting and both worked very good together. Ospreay's title run is that type of championship runs, that all of us wrestling fans want and almost every single match of his is a Banger! and also hats off to PAC for the remarkable performance in the match. but I really wanna see an Ospreay hardcore match, because he hasn't had it yet since he came to this company. (****3/4)"
[9.0] "Hell yeah. It's an Ospreay match, so you know what you're getting into, but that doesn't make it any less fun. PAC is such a good opponent for him and the chemistry they had was insane here. Over a dozen neck bumps, an extremely hot crowd, and a fast-paced match that could have main evented a lesser PPV. PAC is such a genuine talent and he deserves a lot of credit here for not only keeping up with Ospreay, but for outperforming him in certain spots. Not deep, but still very impressive and show-stealing."
[10.0] "After years of watching PAC overdeliver in AEW matches, I never expected to see him outperformed in a strictly athletic way. It happened at All Out 2024, and it wasn't even close. Will Ospreay was in every way PAC's physical superior. Speed, agility, constitution -- Ospreay made PAC look slow. PAC, in turn, got scrappy. He caught Ospreay unaware over and over. He surprised Ospreay when Ospreay thought he had the match won over and over. And PAC proved that while he may have been surpassed by Ospreay, he isn't content. He's figuring out new ways to be dominant, in turn. Unfortunately, the PAC in this match was not a PAC capable of winning. Perhaps the PAC we met later in the night will be better suited to defeating Ospreay down the line..."
[9.0] "No timeout in this bout, I'll rewatch it with pleasure. High-flying spotfest but not only that, athleticism et hard style offense too. Not the best match in Ospreay's career but easily top 3 for PAC's"
[10.0] "Once again Will proving why he is the best performer of the moment, the pace of this match was perfect and this brought out the best in the competitors, both Ospreay and PAC were fantastic, each counter left me speechless and the ending with the Styles Clash + Hidden Blade combo was perfect, the fourth match of 2024 that I rate with maximum score and coincidentally all of them have Ospreay as a competitor (*****)"
"10/10. This was easily the best match of the night. Will Ospreay ever have a bad match? I mean, this was amazing. Pac looked fantastic too. These guys left it all out there for us."
"8/10. I'm starting to get tired of the Will Ospreay formulaic match structure. This match was awesome. The athleticism, execution, crispness, sharpness of the moves is perfect. But the format of these matches are little tiring for Ospreay. Popcorn match."
[10.0] "I have been watching Will Ospreay for over 7 years and nearly every match we has is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. How can you fail with these two geniuses, just pure athletes involved? Everything from the Apron spots on was absolutely perfection in storytelling and pure athleticism. Pac's push on the Poison-Rana; setup on that Dynamite a few weeks ago was so good and lead to Will's brutal Hidden Blade. We are blessed to live in the same timeline as these two."
[8.0] "Very good match that could have used more storytelling. It just felt like move after move without any real reason. Almost like a tournament match such as the G1. This was still good as I said but it could have been a classic."
(Letztendlich einfach Geschmackssache)"
[7.0] "PAC established himself as the de facto heel between the two, slowing the pace down, pulling more devilish faces and avoiding certain sequences much to the ire of the crowd. In terms of pacing, this was particularly strong early on when the pace was steady but always progressing the match forward. It wasnt time wasting, it was leading somewhere. And that somewhere was PAC working the neck of Ospreay, which was taped up. One sequence that I felt didnt resonate with me was PAC hitting both a release german and then following it up with the rings of Saturn and it not being any sort of finish. It was a cool sequence in of itself but that sort of thing is really a finish, and it's just one of plenty spots in the match. The match carried on nevertheless and there were some other cool wrestling spots like PAC reversing a storm breaker into a Frankensteiner and Ospreay landing on his feet on the avalanche poison rana attempt. This eventually culminated on another big counter by Ospreay which led to the win. Awesome match. ***1/2"
[10.0] "Pac gives what can only be described as the best outside move I've seen in a long time. Sky twister press and not only did he nail it but Will didn't stand there watching it before taking the hit. Will damn near matches it soon after. I loved PAC counting with the referee for the 5 count. Getting top notch agility wrestling in this one. There's a nice mix of giving the moves time to simmer and keeping it high pace and intense. One thing of note early is that the chemistry here is off the charts between them. Execution on the giving and receiving end is perfect. One thing with PAC is despite his stature he looks legit because his body is well defined. Daniel Garcia and Jack Perry are in dire need of this kind of weight to make me think they can legitimately fight anyone. Not much to say about the final 10 minutes, it was incredibly fluid and well done. I don't know is Ricochet can have a match this good with Will because I feel like they won't spend any time letting things breathe. The deeper into this match we got the less time selling we got but it felt like a race at the end where they put their all to try and just end it and was helped by the early going of the match taking more time between moves. *****"
[8.0] "This match was never going to be anything but a balls-to-the-wall, spot-heavy bomb-throwing contest, but like PAC's match against Kenny Omega at the inaugural All Out show, if you're looking for cutting edge wrestling, this is where you'll find it done at the highest level. Flawless execution throughout and brilliant mirror work, this was an incredible battle. Some of the sequences on display defied physics, but what really stuck out to me was that they actually sold a lot of it and didn't necessarily rush through anything or shrug off much. Instead, it was counter-after-counter-after-counter and athleticism that was jaw-dropping at times. This is not always a style of wrestling that I love, but PAC adds intensity and structure to these sorts of matches by ramping up the violence and knowing that you have to save the biggest sequences to the end in order to make it all work instead of just bombarding the audience with craziness from beginning to end. A clear Match of the Year candidate for me and absolutely "must see" even if only to see where the bar is being raised to in pro-wrestling when it comes to sheer in-ring performance."
[10.0] "This is one of the best matches in company history. You can cry all you want about ''oh he didn't sell this limb, oh he didn't sell this move'' WHO CARES. Peak athleticism, peak sequences and reversals. Two of the greatest athletes in the sport doing their thing. Incredible and MOTN."
[10.0] "Holy hell, this match was amazing from top to bottom. The sequences were flawless and a joy to witness. The last 5 minutes in particular were simply incredible, I was gobsmacked by how much and how well they were countering in creative ways."
[7.0] "A good match that more reigned in I feel could have been a stronger match, something I often feel when it comes to Ospreays matches. A number of wild moments of athleticism and counters but it is like watching a wrestler with invincibility activated with Will at times where the next big move happens so soon after the previous that nothing registers. Factor in the result never being in doubt. I saw someone describe this as being like the fast food of wrestling and that seemed appropriate"
[8.0] "Sure, phenomenal and almost jaw dropping offense (mostly from PAC), but goddamn, Will took many nasty bumps and he made it look like it was nothing. It tends to be his usual schtick and that's not what should be appreciated. PAC was incredible though"
[7.0] "Maybe it's my high expectations of the match, but I was expecting much more, the match between two even wrestlers with insane desire to beat each other. But we get a fine, not bad not awful, but just a fine that won't be in wrestling books, won't be discussed years later, won't be nominated for any awards. With two incredibly talented wrestlers who had a history before we get a fine normal match that has no thing to rewatch it later"
[7.0] "It's a little much and there's definitely some Ospreayisms I don't like, but this pure stuntshow spotfest is definitely the ideal Ospreay, the guy I want to see and the guy who he mostly used to be. It goes a little long and Ospreay survives too much, but everything is really cool and looks great."
[9.0] "These two guys are some of the absolute best in the world at pulling off crazy spots and building a whole match around that was the best idea. I'd normally be more annoyed about the lack of selling and how over-the-top some of the sequences were, but sometimes everything just clicks and it ends up this great,"
[7.0] "Athletically stunning work from both guys, dynamic and electric sequences and counters make this go really fast. The ending was awesome, but like always with Lucha, I feel like the awesome work isn't connected in a way that flows well, with Ospreay's lack of selling not really making sense."
[10.0] "Absolutely utter perfect display of modern wrestling. PAC's neck work was absolutely brutal and of course every single sequence was as smooth as possibly thinkable. Some of the bumps were fucking nasty and the final stretch was absolutely incredible, I would still put this one slightly below the RevPro bout but that's just personal preference. *****"
[9.0] "Sometimes you just need two motherfuckers going out there and delivering exactly the kind of match you pictured them doing when you saw the match graphic and that is exactly what these two did. It was great. All the head drops and neck wreckers you can imagine and I had a hoot watching it."
[10.0] "This was the one I was waiting for and honestly, it delivered. When it comes to Will Ospreay on a AEW PPV, you know its gonna be a banger. With an opponent like PAC that can match the intensity that Will brings, I know they are capable of putting together something absolutely insane. Regardless , the match fucking ruled. Ever since he returned, the Bastard has been focused and it shows. Im glad hes getting a spotlight (and a title) again, because this guy can GO. I lost count of how many times he dropped Will on his head. This was a hard hitting match and regardless of the result, PAC came out looking strong and due to how great this match was, we might get a part 2 if the stars align. There are truly no words to describe watching Ospreays first year at AEW. Hes been putting the work in and doing everything he can to put on a good show for us. This is the type of match Id probably watch 2-3 times every day."
[7.0] "A good match. There's of course some poor (or lack of) selling by Ospreay that I am not a fan of, but for the most part, this match was just about him & PAC brutalizing one another with sick bombs in their arsenals. I had a pretty solid time with it."
[9.0] "It was a great match. It had quite a few great spots. I believe they needed a bit of gelling in between to put the spots together in an even better fashion. The poisonrana was done 1 time too many. I'd like to see more of Ospreay vs Pac. Maybe a triple threat with ricochet. But that'd become a spot fest. Let's see."
[9.0] "Leave to Ospreay and PAC to put on a bell-to-bell banger. There's nothing new on display here, but yaint need new shit when the usual stuff is executed so perfectly. It also helps that Ospreay and PAC's 'usual stuff' is head and shoulders above 90% of their peers of course, but I still gotta commend these guys for killing eachother for our pleasure. The strikes, the bombs, the flips; everything was on point here, and to cap it off they didn't overdo it and go for a 30-40 minute bombfest, when they easily could've taken the match there. Ospreay of course will always be in the spotlight in AEW, but I really, really hope PAC gets a real singles run here soon, cause he's just so damn good."
[10.0] "Crowd is immediately electric for the match and Pac exits the ring to stop the momentum it gives Will. Shoulder tackle by Pac and. A kip up in response. Attempted snapmare but Ospreay lands on his feet. Side headlock takedown by Pac as he slows it down, Ospreay gets him up, Pac runs the ropes, some acrobatics by both, and Will cartwheels out of a head scissors. Pac kicks Ospreay and sends him to the outside. Pac hits a sky twister on Ospreay to the floor. Already such a treat, Pac goes for as springboard offense but Ospreay dropkicks him out of air, sending Pac to the outside and he hits a side twister of his own. Springboard offense ducked by Pac and then both guys connect on a boot to the head. Both guys start slapping each other while seated, they stand up and continue to hit each other with forearms, then chops, Pac kicks Ospreay on the back of the neck and then drives his boot into him in the corner, getting away with as much as he can. Ospreay is sent neck first into the guardrails as Pac preens. Pac sends Ospreay into another guardrail. Back in the ring Pac gets Ospreay up on the ropes and hits a monster avalanche brain buster. Headlock by Pac, just as it slows down Ospreay gets up and hits a jawbreaker, whips Pac into the corner, then goes for a springboard that Pac rolls out of the ring to avoid. Pac sends Ospreay into the guardrails but he basically turns it into a springboard flying forearm from the guardrail. Ospreay gets back into the ring and hits the Sasuke special on Pac. Ospreay hits his corkscrew kick on Pac, pin attempt at two. Ospreay goes up to the top rope but Pac clears him off, looks to go back to the avalanche brain buster but Ospreay notices it and fights back, slips away deftly and looks for the cheeky nandos, Pac has it scouted and reverses for moonsault but is caught in the air by Ospreay, who goes for a power slam but its reversed into a DDT by Pac. Insane sequence. Pac gets a liger bomb, kick out at two. Pac goes up on the ropes but Ospreay rolls away. Pac vaults off Ospreays back, hits the ropes, but is hit with the standing Spanish fly. Ospreay goes for the oscutter, Pac reverses it into a tombstone piledriver attempt, Ospreay reverses it into a tombstone flatliner, misses the hidden blade, thrust kick by Pac, German deadlift got out of by Ospreay, hit by a pump kick to the neck, German attempt by Pac but Ospreay lands on his feet, hits the Oscutter, but Pac kicks out of the pin attempt at two. Ospreay offers up his chin for Pac to pummel, hits Pac with a crescent kick as Pac stumbles to the ground, another crescent kick from Ospreay on Pac on the apron. Ospreay goes for an apron Oscutter, but caught by Will and he gets hit with a German suplex that has Ospreay land on his neck. Pacs offense continue sto be focused on the neck and then he hits the poisonrana on the apron, throws Ospreay in the ring and immediately gets the Brutalizer locked in, Ospreay gets to the ropes but tons of damage done. Ospreay gets hit with a big boot, Pac goes for the Black Arrow, Ospreay gets his knees up and then rolls up Pac for a deep two count. Oscutter is reversed into a pin attempt, step up by Ospreay, more reversals on reversals, a fucking powerbomb is flipped through into a pin attempt by Pac, and the entire crowd gets on their feet for what theyre seeing because its just fucking wild. Kudos to Ospreay here for his selling, hes doing a great job. Another poisonrana by Pac, Ospreay is passed out as Pac gets the Brutalizer locked in again. Crowds on theyr feet chanting for Will, picks up Pac with the Brutalizer in, Pac gets out, goes for another poisonrana but Ospreay reverses it and hits a poisonrana of his own, then immediately hits the hidden blade, falls on Pac for the pin, kick out at two. Incredible stuff. Ospreay goes for the Oscutter but Pac cuts him off in the ropes, looks for an Avalanche poisonrana on Will AND HE LANDS ON HIS FEET, hits a monster hidden blade, jack knife pin attempt, Pac kicks out somehow. Oscutter from the top rope, Ospreay lifts up Pac for the stormbreaker, reversed into a a pin attempt by Pac, Ospreay rolls out and hits a styles clash and a hidden blade, gets the pin on Pac for 3. What a fucking match. Incredible stuff. Great storytelling, great chemistry. Just wonderful. 10/10"
[7.0] "Maybe if PAC had been able to drop Ospreay on his neck another 50-100 times, he might have been in with a shot of winning this thing. Anyway, to paraphrase The Verve, now the movez don't work, they just make you worse - and this was definitely a case of more being less, with an absolute slew of dangerous-looking, finisher-level offence barely making a dent. Ospreay was in full Highspot Hogan mode here, clutching at the damaged neck, but effortlessly busting out his admittedly thrilling highlight reel ***1/2"
[10.0] "This was state-of-the-art wrestling from Ospreay and PAC. They were so sudden and explosive in their moves, and they kept you guessing on what insane counter they were going to conjure up next. The told a terrific story of Ospreay's neck bothering him and of him nevertheless trying to one-up PAC on high-flying. But what especially set this above your usual great match was the perfect timing of every counter for maximum effect. It's the kind of athletic contest that only these two could pull off together. ****3/4"
[9.0] "I think this is one of my favorite ospreay matches in aew, the no selling was kept to a minimum and pac can have chemistry with any wrestler and these two really match each other moveset and wrestler wise. While I did want pac to win and I obviously knew pac was going to lose but that didn't really change my perspective on the match, I was surprised that the match was 20 minutes long when I checked the website because honestly the match felt around 12 minutes because of the pacing, one of the better ospreay aew matches."
[5.0] "I didn't dig this, there were points where I disliked it. But I think it was still fine. barely. Ospreay's style does mesh well with PAC's. They're both very snappy with their offense and fly crazy. I prefer PAC ten million times more to Ospreay, so it was kind of a shame to see him get influenced by Ospreay's no selling bullspit. Also the Ospreay does that stupid superhero landing off an avalanche poison rana, brother your ankles should be mashed potatoes, the hell are you doing! ? The ending was also a bit stinky (much like the all the other matches on the show.) with Ospreay hitting every move ever into a lazy pin. **1/2"
[10.0] "Another excellent match from Ospreay. These two guys work incredibly well together. They are both amazing, and I knew this would be great going in, but they have even better chemistry than I expected. We've seen lots of poisonranas, but they felt like huge moves here that all had the potential to end the match. Ospreay's current run is probably the best that I've ever been lucky enough to see in real time as it happens. Pac certainly deserves his share of the credit as well. He's also an incredible athlete and was more than capable of keeping pace."
[10.0] "Saw this masterpiece live in the arena and I am still gasping for air. This match had the name in it: All Out! Blow for blow and pound for pound a matchup that had the arena on its feet from start ton finish and delivered also on the atmosphere side 10/10. Perfection from two of UKs best of all time. Evenly matched and well finished. Another classic! Also Pac got a Singles Match showing on PPV that solidifies him for another future title reign. Hopefully this title will be back tonthe workhorse title Cassidy made it before."
[6.0] "Ospreay's formula in big matches isn't my thing. I prefer him in slightly shorter matches with more physical opponents (Strong, Takeshita, Shibata and Archer have all gotten truly great matches out of him this year with that framework) besides the all time classic with Danielson which actually felt like the epic he attempts to reach with every PPV appearance. I feel like he thrives against aggressive physicality more than similarly athletic performers, and his big matches can feel like an endless spam of counters, no-selling brutal neck bumps after 30 seconds or so, and unbelievable kickouts. This formula works wonders for the majority of live crowds and the fanbase which is fine. It's just not for me. It takes me out of the occasion seeing him take a reverse rana on the apron because I know his structure is gonna ensure that he won't sell it a minute later. This is a pretty good version of the formula he does and PAC is an athletic monster, but it's not for me."
[10.0] "One of the best fighting on American soil of the past few years, in which British royalty completely blew up the ring from side to side. The perfection of the blows, the adrenaline, the story told in the ring, all the small details in each sell, the audience's involvement, and two pro wrestlers that will stay and are already in the story. The International title begins to prove that it is similar to the Intercontinental title and will be a large bridge to the projection of champions career, in addition that title defenses are almost always memorable fighting. 5.5* or 5.75* is not exaggeration for this fight but I'd like it to be more 5 or 6 minutes long. The Ezio Auditore of the rings remains the champion, i'm waiting to see who come the next chapters!"
[7.0] "I knew in the final stretch that I'd consider this match really good but most people would go for MOTYC on it when it wasn't at all in my eyes. This was two insane athletes pulling off visually amazing sequences and taking some wild head bumps (nothing gimmicked about the release German to the apron, holy fuck) but much like the Ospreay/Takeshita match this really was just cool sequences strung together. PAC looked so fucking smooth here too, dude was on his Dragon Gate shit. Really fun to watch but nowhere near MOTN let alone MOTY. ***1/2+"
[10.0] "I dont think words can truly do justice to this match! Oh my, what an absolutely incredible match! Those last 5 minutes were some of the most insane wrestling I have ever watched! They did some truly otherworldly stuff in those last 5 minutes. A full ***** from me and many more. Ospreay is having the kind of year that many dream of. Pac was equally amazing. Just tremendous wrestling. All Out has gotten to a HOT start! Absolutely loved the match and can only hope we get to watch Ricochet vs Ospreay soon!"
"My God... What an incredible match. As usual with Ospreay matches, This made me feel alive. AEW could have 10 MOTYC's and all 10 would involve Ospreay somehow. He's such an incredible Performer. And put some respect on PAC! This man has been grinding for so long, and absolutely showed out tonight. This PPV has been insanely consistent so far."
[10.0] "Unbelievable match. Will Ospreay is the best wrestler in the world, hands down. Pac is not far behind. When you put both of them together, you get this magic. Fantastic match between two of the best wrestlers in the world, this is what AEW is all about. It ended exactly when it needed to end and wow, it's just amazing to have Ospreay in a company like this where he can have these matches week in and week out for all of us to enjoy. They say that it's where the best wrestle, and upon this evidence, you can't argue that."
[10.0] "Amazing Match. I got what I expected in this fight, they could have just made the beginning longer before moving on to bigger spots, but other than that I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Amazing sequences. Incredible pace and amazing actions. PAC showed up like a fucking machine, and Will Ospreay, like Will Ospreay, had another amazing performance. We didn't get any no-sells in this fight, which is a beautiful thing. The counters that PAC and Will Ospreay gave were unrealistic at times. I love this match"
[10.0] "Finally, we got the match we wanted, the classic Ospreay big game. This game directly skipped the early prelude and went directly into the middle stage, Ospreay probably played 9 successes, and Pac's performance in this game was also top-notch, but the villain acting skills and the wrestling content presented were the best in AEW. In the last few minutes, the high energy continued, all kinds of deadly actions, and the absolute 5-star level, far exceeding their first battle! If you have to say the problem, it's that the time is too short."
[7.0] "Out of respect to how hard the performers worked here, I'll refrain from going lower, but this match was very clearly for an audience that I don't feel I am part of. It feels like a very GIF-ified match built around huge spots, huge nearfalls, and a lot of "fighting spirit" moments that didn't click with me. This is maximalist wrestling and I'm wearing tired of the style, but these guys are built for it in a way that I can respect, even if I don't love it myself. It had about a few more crazy neck bumps than I usually like, the poison-rana really should be more protected. ***1/2"
