Calvin Tankman vs. Trevor Lee

[7.0] "This was a really solid encounter between two strong workers, with Trevor Lee lacking much charisma but hanging well in ring with particularly strong strikes. Tankman is still really intriguing but has definitely settled on a routine by this point in his title defences. Tankman got the win with a Tankman Driver and while this was strong it did feel a bit paint-by-numbers at points which detracted a bit. Worth a watch for sure if you enjoy either guy."

[8.0] "In case you forgot how good Trevor Lee was and still is. Also, casually, it's one of the better Tankman defenses, too. I know many will prefer the Ku match, but this one is my favorite of the year. The way Tankman survives feels so earned, not just because of his size but because of his numerous title defenses. Lee throws shit at him too, but never gets the really big move, and gets a little too cute, and loses. Tankman survives, but Lee announces his return. 4+ Stars."

[8.0] "A very good debut for Trevor Lee in DPW and another good title defense for Calvin Tankman in his DPW title reign. A hard hitting match with Lee really bringing it to Tankman with it taking a lot for Lee to get Calvin either off of his feet or down. Sometimes Lee let Tankman recover a bit too quickly which would come back to haunt him. Very good match. 7.5-8"

[8.0] "This was a extremely fun match, Trevor Lee showed up here, and Calvin Tankman put on the performance of a lifetime"

[8.0] "Really entertaining and physical title match. Awesome to finally see Trevor Lee back on the indies having bangers like this again."

[8.0] "In the beginning Tankman stopped Lee at every turn and started dominating, to the point that it looked started he's gonna decisively win right then and there. He got tired in the process though, and Lee needed just one mistake to turn the tides and get momentum going for him. He put Tankman in trouble, but eventually Tankman was able to find a chance to cut Lee off, which led to a 'battle of wills' type finishing stretch, where Tankman prevailed. Not a lot of matches these days as hard-hitting as this one was, crowd reactions added a lot and made this title match feel important. ***3/4"

[7.0] "The guys beat the hell out of each other and Trevor Lee was a lot more physical than I expected coming in. Some of his lariats he hit on Tankman were crazy impactful. His strikes were all pretty much crisp and loud. Tankman worked hard but he is still just playing the hits to close out matches."
