There were some unexpected sequences and counters, so both wrestlers tried to throw each other off with something different. For example I don't remember Momono ever doing Slingblade before, but it looked really good and Iwata sold it big. ***3/4 |

The quality of the match didn't take me by surprise ofc (these are two of the very best in Joshi, especially Mio), but the structure and flow of the match took me off guard a bit. I wasn't expecting Mio to give out as much punishment as she did, but honestly it's a welcome role reversal from a lot of matches I've seen from her. She's almost equally as good in the role of working on top here, really pushing the limits of Mika's resilience with brutal forearms to the back of the head and huge german suplexes! Mika was great too, coming back with forceful kicks and THAT brainbuster that has been making the rounds on Twitter (and rightfully so! So damn snug! ) I would've liked to see them go a little longer, but this was overall an excellent back and forth contest! Go out of your way to check this one out! |

Not sure I can remember seeing Mio work on top as much as she did here but never feels like an outright heel doing it like how most face wrestlers switch to when working against someone who needs to be a babyface more. It almost hurts Mika who is a good wrestler but just isn't Mio and can never rally against Mio in a way that's gonna make me want to root for her. The brutal brainbuster to start her comeback did help though, right on the 5 minute call which by that time Mio had already worked a good control segment. Just shows more time doesn't mean anything in making a match great |
