[6.0] "I thought this started real slow, but from the counter Spanish Fly onward, this turned into a bit if a showcase for Dragon Bane's awesome lucha offense (crisp chops, shooting star presses, poisionranas and all) and Oiwa's resilience. Oiwa hung with Dragon Bane until he could slip in with power counters like Germans and gutwrenches until he finished with the Doctor Bomb at the end. This was fine, you probably don't need to see it, but I see a main eventer in Oiwa's look, pacing, and power offense. New Japan should absolutely take him back and push him as soon as Wrestle Kingdom."

[6.0] "Pretty good 'your turn/my turn' match - I thought Oiwa would get lost somewhere or would start to desperately keep up with his opponent, instead he was hanging in there quite well and made his offense look impressive enough, so when he won it was a pleasant, but not an unexpected surprise."

[6.0] "Nice little match. Good action throughout. Both wrestlers looked good playing to their strengths. The time given was well spent. Although an Oiwa victory was long-awaited, it felt like either one could have won."
