[7.0] "[3.25*] Great match! Definitely the best match on the show, all 3 guys showed really good chemistry there and I had a lot of fun. I am not particularly thrilled in seeing OC during all the Gauntlet because I am a little bit tired of him lol, but anyways. Roddy was great as always and he is one of the MVPs from AEW this year. They kinda teased a Roddy/KOR tag down the line and this would rule honestly."

"Really fun match! Hard hitting, there was selling, and it was in the ring. All three competitors could have taken this one and I don't think the crowd would be disappointed."

[8.0] "The best match on a Dynamite made up of mostly solid action, this is yet another example of the Roderick Strong show. His engine keeps this thing moving, wrestling with an absurd degree of urgency considering the stakes. KOR and OC certainly aren't just along for the ride either, bringing their best and packing this with creativity throughout. It's a good blend in that regard, featuring neat set-pieces that never halt the match's broader pace and flow. Instead, they are placed in a fashion that feels earned and organic, giving the match a noticeable rhythm. Very good triple threat match, a total TV triumph. ***3/4"

Having the match be for the #1 spot in the gauntlet adds some psychology to it as well, as they could have even had someone not wanting to win because of the risk involved. Good match here, with the logical winner not being a bad thing."

[8.0] "Nicely planned out 3 Way with Cassidy trying to keep up with his sloth-style technical wrestling against KOR and Strong picking his spots. The rare spots including all 3 at the same time hit ever better with them not being spammed all the time. Very nice building of the pacing, liked how the relationships in this match played off of each other. Really fun match! Loved how the ref did not count the double pin and simply stopped that loophole/plothole from the get-go."

[7.0] "This was a really great match, my favorite from Dynamite this week. Sometimes, wrestling is as easy as taking three guys who are at really good, giving them something to fight for, then let them doing their thing. Orange Cassidy is hitting all his usual spots and definitely working hard, and Strong and O'Reilly are hard-hitting as usual. I'm kind of confused on if this is to determine who enters the Casino Gauntlet first as the number one spot, or if it's who is the first man to be entered into the Casino Gauntlet match. I really hope it's the former, Strong and O'Reilly deserve a Wembley match."

[7.0] "Real fun TV style triple threat here. Everyone feels involved just enough, with Roddy pushing the pace, Orange showcasing his fantastic tv style work with impeccable timing, and Kyle keeping things together being the constant in the match. Lots of creative triple-threat style offense here too, with most of it looking great, and only 1 thing that looked a bit too convenient for me. Loved Roddy heeling it up by looking for tables and not finding any, as well as the high/low he hit with KOR. Not sure it was a tease like people think, but I'd love to see KOR/Roddy team again. 3.75 Stars."

[7.0] "Super fun match. Just 3 incredible workers going at it for like 15 straight minutes. Roddy and Kyle beat the tar out of eachother, Orange gets thrown around a bit and does his typical spots, it's just basically a good time all around. Shout out to the point in the match where Roddy spends a full minute looking for a table under the ring to quell the "we want tables" chant only to basically go "lol nah" and get back in the ring. Such a brilliant bit of heel work. Really good match overall and the best on this week's Dynamite. ***3/4"

[8.0] "This was a great, great match that probably had no reason being this good. Just three guys bringing their A-games and putting on an excellent three way match. Roddy has to be in the top 5 wrestlers in the world right now. Him and KOR are wrestling soul mates and OC mashed very well with the two. The action was really fun and entertaining with lots of great exchanges and spots. Loved OC's diving elbow drop to stop a guillotine choke from KOR. Roddy hit a double boston crab on the other two which was super impressive and I really liked the ending. Only downside was Cassidy winning which is something I'm tired of. 8/10 - 4.25*/5*"

[9.0] "What a fantastic match on TV. I was expecting something good when you saw the participants but god damn, this was fun. Great match that went to the strenghts of all involved and it was the usual party match that you get on almost all Dynamites. Really, really good."

Soo-Play wrote on 15.08.2024:
[5.0] "I don't really need 15 minutes to see Orange Cassidy do his usual shtick and win. The action was fine but triple threats work better when they keep things tight whereas this felt very much like them killing time just because. The commercials really made an already long match longer than it should have been. OC wins of course and gets the number 1 spot. So again, looking forward to probably more extended OC gimmick is not something I'm interested in. Roddy and Kyle fighting should feel like a bigger deal too."

[8.0] "Hell yeah. A kind of match that wouldn't have felt out of place in the new year's phenomenal AEW episodes. Some really fun sections that use all three men, and all of their collective history well. From Strong's entrance to Kyle inevitably getting upset with himself at another loss, this feels like a particularly wonderful stop on the way to All In. One spot I'd like to point out is the Total Elimination that Kyle and Roderick hit blindly before collapsing into a tired but almost nostalgic pin that echoes their older days as friends and factionmates. A real blast, the best AEW TV match (that doesn't feature Hologram or Darby Allin) in a good long while. Nice!"
