[9.0] "[8, 50/10, 0] A really great match. Truly a fantastic match, and in my opinion, it should have been the main event of this show. It was very entertaining, technical, and the storytelling was excellent. AJ Styles and Danielson never disappoint; they're the best of the best."

[8.0] "This was a great match. AJ Styles was one of the few wrestlers who was able to get a year long run with the WWE Championship, and he was set to defend the title against Daniel Bryan at Crown Jewel. But then this match was made, and that was because behind the scenes, Bryan didn't want to go to Saudi Arabia in the aftermath of the Jamal Khashoggi incident, and despite being the number 1 contender, nothing WWE could do would change his mind. So this match was sort of put together last minute, and they had a great wrestling match. The work later revolved around Bryan's knee, which Styles would take advantage of and win with the Calf Crusher. After the match, Samoa Joe attacked both men, signifying that he would replace Bryan at Crown Jewel. ****"

[9.0] "This match was way better than their previous match a few months before this. Aj Styles and Bryan Danielson are some of the best professional wrestlers in the world. This was an excellent match with good grappling and technical wrestling. Bryan messed up his knee on a dive, making it an open target for AJ. The match went back and forth. Great TV match."

Threw out the match you could tell bryan was playing the heel but then once it finally happened with the low blow it shocked everyone and i truly never thought this man would be a heel again. Fun match 4 1/4 stars"

[9.0] "A fantastic match for the title. Styles in this was brilliant with his attacks on Bryan's left leg and he didn't let Bryan work briefly on his arm like he usually does. Bryan's selling was great and consistent. His comebacks and counters were great as well. Styles leg work paid off as he made Bryan submit to the Calf crusher. 8.50"

We actually got rewarded with the limb targeting that Styles did all match long when he countered a yes lock into a Styles Clash, and then immediately applied the calf crusher and got Bryan to submit.****1/4"

[9.0] "This was another masterclass between Bryan and Styles here, even better than their TLC match-up which was very qualitative. Here it was just amazing with a simple story, AJ Styles defending his WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan in his hometown, a match who's given to us for free on TV like most of their matches in the company and that was obviously excellent. I'm repeating myself but their matches are always real lessons, you learn a lot by watching them fight. Everything is always perfect in the execution, in the selling and in the intensity they put in their moves and in their submissions. Their matches are always technically oriented and that's something I love, plus I love both wrestlers, so each of their matches are a must-see for me. This one being one of their best together, I mainly loved the performance of Styles who worked as a heel (when he wasn't heel at that time) and did a fantastic job on Bryan's leg. The finishing stretch was insane, the Styles Clash was one of the best Styles has ever done, and seeing him beat Bryan with a submission was shocking because it was the first time Bryan had ever tapped out in WWE. Awesome stuff right here."

[9.0] "One of the main reasons why Styles/Bryan is considered to be a legendary rivalry is that since 2003 their matches are consistently high level & for sure this match had some high quality stuff. As pretty much in every their battle this was all about the dueling limb work, technical wrestling & brilliant display of top notch in ring psychology. Bryan went after the arm of AJ, the last one countered it with a leg work of his own and they went with this gameplan till the end. No big spots, no no selling sequences just two of the greatest wrestlers doing what they do best. It's almost unbelievable that they got the crowd going mad in 2018 without having much nearfalls & big spots. Terrific pro wrestling match w/ brilliant performances from little indie fellas. ****1/2"

[9.0] "Fantastic TV match, may be the best one in WWE in 2018. You don't see this kind of match often in WWE where high spots, meaningless big moves dominate. Styles did great job targeting bryan's left knee and bryan tried to overcome this and answered by attacking the left arm of AJ. But AJ still managed to turn into calf crasher and Bryan tapped. Damn, the detail limb work paid off well. But I wish the finish could be better as I felt it was a bit sudden. Still hell of a world title match for sure. Probably AJ's top 5 WWE matches."

[10.0] "This met the high expectations I had for it, but with it being a match between two of the very best in the world, and 2 of the greatest EVER, how could it not? This was 110% my kind of pro wrestling; a dueling limb work story told to perfection w/ both guys being vicious w/ a big V with their work over one another, superb selling & a great sense of urgency. A true war of attrition. Just 22 minutes of straight up pro wrestling like it was meant to be - I mean, it's a WWE Championship match w/ ZERO nearfalls (except if you count the Triangle) & the crowd is going goddamn crazy all the way through. That's pretty unheard of in this day & age. I think it was already clear from their previous match in April, but now it's even more clear: AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan truly operate on a entirely different level from everybody else in the business. Legends. And the best thing of the whole thing is that this is not even close to the best they can do against each other. Can't wait to see the next time they lock it up. ****1/2"

[7.0] "Pretty weekly match and good fighting stuff. Daniel Bryan's selling is wonderful, but AJ's selling would have been better, in fact he sells the arm a bit randomly. The match has a boring middle part, but the final is wonderful with the counter with Styles Clash + Calf Killer. The spot break ruins this match. ***3/4"

[6.0] "Wrestlemania main event dream match from two of the greatest workers ever! Unfortunately those of us who tuned into this treat of a match were tricked into watching a vanilla effort from both. The "I hurt my knee doing a suicide dive" spot is tired and overdone, and unfortunately told the story of the match. Senseless finish in a matchup of this caliber with this exposure, significantly weakening the loser, but I suppose that's the price to be paid for bailing on the Crown Jewel PPV. 3 out of 5 stars, nothing remotely close to the caliber of matchup Bryan and AJ are capable of delivering."

[9.0] "Absolutely fantastic. The storytelling was great with AJ capitalizing on Daniels mistake and working the leg. The Yes-Lock into the Styles Clash into the calf crusher was a thing of beauty. It's a shame that politics intervened so we couldn't get this match at the PPV but I understand and agree with Daniel Bryans viewpoint on Crown Jewel. The post-match beatdown by Samoa Joe was cool too. I look forward to AJ/Joe at CW but I am REALLY excited for Daniel Bryan vs Samoa Joe at a later date (****1/2)."
