Josh Briggs vs. Masa Kitamiya

[7.0] "Kitamiya is a student of Masa Saito, so working with foreign heels is in his blood. Two tought dudes punching each other in the faces is exactly what this one supposed to be. Briggs looks pretty good in this style of japanese wrestling, as well as being a dominant monster like in his bouts with Kaito & Kotoge. ***1/2"

[3.0] "Briggs could do big man stuff against smaller opponents well enough, but it's pretty clear he is not able to have a match with people that he can't just ragdoll around. Bad match where Briggs brought Kitamiya down with him."

[5.0] "Josh Briggs is a solid Hoss and seeing some of the meaty wrestlers in Japan I was hoping for some nice matches resulting out of those pairings. But - like most of the other matches on this show - the match overall should have been more like what they did in the final minutes. Don't know why Briggs had to boringly control the beginning of the match with moves straight out of the 1950s."

[4.0] "Briggs' lumbering big man stuff didn't work as well here as it had with smaller opponents, and he didn't feel credible meeting Kitamiya at his own level."

[4.0] "This match struggled to keep my attention, it's just not to watch Briggs wrestle a serious match - his work is not convincing and dragged Kitamiya down to his level. Kitamiya also didn't really help Briggs, instead he was going through the motions and treated this match like a random inconsequential opener. **1/4"
