[6.0] "The United Empire duel was quite underwhelming in my opinion... I was even expecting worse moments, and I'm glad they didn't followed that same old structure, because a match between stable mates have to be more special than that, but it wasn't, and even without the lame fighting spirit moments they couldn't connect and provide a great match with a deep psychology, it was 'just' a good match, with stiffness and power moves. I'm not sure about that ending, felt really lame in my opinion, but the match had some good moments - {**3/4}"
[7.0] "A pretty good meatfest with great competitiveness between two stablemates. Was underwhelming at some points. Feeling like Cobb didn't click with Henare at any of the exchanges, but did good with his power moves. I dig the ending and think it was quite unique."
[7.0] "Very fun hoss fight of a match featuring one guy who I normally wouldn't consider a hoss. It was a hard hitting match with some nice agility on display as well."
[7.0] "Fun Hoss Fight with some nicely placed highspots and impressive throws. My kind of match with meaty men, just could have been a bit of a quicker pacing."
[7.0] "An interesting match that started very slow and methodical which made sense seeing as they're both bigger guys, both have titles and they are stablemates. This one never went to the next level I expected it to get to but the action of what we did get was good with both guys having eachother scouted dodging eachothers big strikes but when they did land selling the impact. A really cool finish with Jeff with the UE symbol"
[7.0] "Yet another good, not great match in this G1. I thought HENARE brought it but I was a bit underwhelmed by Cobb who besides the superplex didn't really show much fire or energy that this match needed to elevate it. The finish I thought was a bit undeserved in the way they tried to act like they had a NEVER style classic before Cobb put HENARE away. Overall, a pretty good big man match. ***1/2"
[7.0] "TV Champ Vs NEVER Openweight Champ, the battle of the United Empire, was a very fun contest that never quite hit that third gear I was hoping for from this one. The story was simple: two brothers battle, evenly footed, with the first to hit their best move walking away victorious. Both men work well together and I hope to see more in the future. This was everthing you think it would be: strikes that will knock your socks off, impressive feats of strength, and an unwillingness to stay down. After a sign of respect amidst the carnage of war, Cobb sealed the deal with the Tour of the Islands. Really enjoyed this. ***1/2"
[8.0] "A simple match in which two big stable mates that respect each others go war. The match was full of good looking bombs and it was definetely fun to see, perhaps it should have been slightly longer but for a 12 minutes match this was actually good. ***3/4"
[8.0] "Great big boy match. Hard hitting one upmanship and impressive power spots. Higher up in the card this may have been given the time to be even better but it over delivered for third from the top. ***3/4"
[7.0] "Good take on the big-brother-little-brother match. They were a bit tentative to start, but their both having such good tournaments that they both shone through towards the end."
[6.0] "***3/4 good match, they gave a good level, a high pace, and good spots but I felt that they didn't count for anything in the match and the ending was kind of strange, so the match was kind of disappointing"
[6.0] "Quite disappointed in the end of this match, I mean it was bad but it could have been so much better, they kept some under their feet and that feels, notwithstanding it remains decent and I really liked the finish"
[6.0] "There is a much better match between these two and I expect we will see eventually based on the ending to this one (I hope). A heavyweight slug fest but for me it did feel like it hit a true bombs away brawl like they both have had with Shingo or Ishii."
[4.0] "Weirdly disappointing. They looked like they were holding back right from the beginning as they laid a bunch of tame-looking forearms into each other. The match didn't flow and clunked from spot to spot, without making me feel for either of them or their friendship. Then an odd ending with Cobb doing the UE crowns and HENARE jumping onto his shoulders to receive the finishing move. I'd like to see these guys meet again when they're not in the same faction and we can get a clearer rivalry dynamic between them."
