[8.0] "This was an amazing match with a great moment in Buddy winning gold in Australia. This match wasn't that long but it still delivered."

[8.0] "It was great to see the Cruiserweight title back on PPV. Murphy and Cedric were able to deliver a great match with only 10 minutes. The crowd popped big for some of the false finishes and both men looked extremely impressive. A great moment for the hometown hero. [***3/4]"

[9.0] "Buddy Murphy deserved so much more in WWE, matches like this prove why. The man was so committed to his character in the cruiserweight division, genuinely cutting weight to make it to 205lbs then putting it back on in time for the match, with no one on commentary acknowledging it must have been so frustrating. That frustration was taken out on Cedrick Alexander"

[8.0] "A great and solid match, very special for Buddy Murphy who was on his hometown, and this match felt really good from beginning to end and definitely the best match of this Super Showdown, where also the crowd was very into it from beginning, not a 10/10 but yeah it's a 8/10 [****1/2]"

[9.0] "[4.5*] It started off frantically with a beautiful sequence, which I won't deny, it fooled me into believing it would be a Murphy squash in the middle of his homeland. But it wasn't and the match continued and even the home Heel continued to be applauded and acclaimed. After that beautiful Michinoku Driver everything in the match changed, from the 100% Murphy crowd, to the dynamics, as from then on Cedric began to dominate and even did his Lumbar Check (which until that day had not had a Kickout in WWE) but as everything has its first time, there was a kickout and after that a beautiful reverse with the knee, Murphy's Law and 123. All this for a beautiful celebration in his homeland and the beginning of the second best reign of the new Cruiserweight Title"

[9.0] "I thought this was a criminally underrated 10 mins sprint. The fact that they were able to accomplish so much in such a short period of time should tell you something. Murphy looked like a billion bucks out there in front of those Aussies, and his kickouts were on point. Cedric did well here, he lowkey went heel knowing he won't get cheered in such an environment. Amazing. [****1/2]"

Very smooth and exciting action throughout, the crowd was great and the pop when Buddy won was awesome. It is a little short but I feel they did a fantastic job for the time they were given. ****1/4"

[9.0] "This was once again a fantastic match between Alexander and Murphy, not as good as their 205 Live masterpiece but still very solid. The action throughout the match is excellent, captivating and rich in quality but the strength of this match is obviously the crowd. Unlike their previous match together, here Murphy is the hometown boy and oh damn, that crowd was red hot for him. I think this was one of the first times Murphy worked in the babyface position since he arrived in 205 Live and it's amazing how great he was in this role, carried by his country of course. I loved the logic that Alexander used here, in the build-up of this match he told Murphy that he knew he wouldn't get the crowd on his side and they would boo him but he didn't care and he wasn't going to pay attention to their reaction. He kept his promise for the first few minutes but after a while he was really getting tired of seeing Murphy being supported so much, you could tell by his great facial expressions and the commentators did a good job of pointing it out. It's the kind of detail that isn't necessarily important but that I really like. The finishing stretch was insane with Murphy kicking out of everything, it drove the crowd crazy and it made the moment that followed even more legendary for Murphy. A very good match that ends with the most beautiful moment of Murphy's career, in his country and in front of his hometown crowd, beautiful stuff."

[8.0] "This is one of the best 10-minute matches I have ever seen. Murphy gets about 5 minutes of storytelling done with one swift knee to the face to open the match, which had Alexander reeling right off the bat. Considering this match is only 10 minutes long, it had a surprisingly deliberate pace, while still pumping in all the high-flying spots you expect to see in a Cruiserweight match. The highlight of the match was the avalanche Michinoku Driver that couldn't keep Murphy down in front of his home crowd. Alexander would even hit a barrage of offense including his finisher and still couldn't keep Murphy down much to the delight of the Melbourne crowd. Instead it would be Murphy to get the win to send everyone home happy. ****-****1/4"

[7.0] "This was a very good match. Decided to randomly watch it and it had some great moments and fast paced action. The Michinoku Driver off the top, as well as the closing moments were fantastic. Murphy winning in his hometown takes the cake as the crowd reaction helped this match a lot. IMO, this match needed a few more minutes."

[10.0] "What an awesome match and an awesome moment for Buddy Murphy. The match was really short when you look at the other trash matches but Alexander&Murphy had given us the best 10 minutes of our lives. That michinoku driver may be the best moment of the match. Murphy deserved it and i hope he will have a good reign."

[8.0] "7. 9/10 : They did it right and the crowd was there to make it a special moment ! WWE did not fuck up on this one, booking and storyline wise, everything was on point. As for the wrestling, pockets of really good stuff here and there but not really the best match you could get out of either. Still, with the firm support and investment of the Melbourne crowd, this match did not need to be extraordinary in the ring to solicit an extraordinary reaction. Making that pop after the kickout from the Lumbar Check one of the loudest of the year, as well as when Buddy ultimately closed the deal and got his hands on what he had very much earned this year."

I really enjoyed the story of Cedric getting distracted by the crowd not cheering for him since that's what he's used to. It was a feel good moment seeing Buddy hit the highlight of his career thus far in his home country (****3/4)"

[7.0] "Good match, but hardly anything impressive from what I've seen both guys do on 205. Buddy was obviously the home crowd guy, but not even Cedric was able to gain any heat. There wasn't really a cohesive story going on either aside from trading spots. Disappointing at worst, ***3/4."

Beide stehen für sehr direkte Action und so ist es ein schöner Austausch von Impact-Moves, die sehr flüssig aneinander gereiht werden, sich schön steigern und kompakt ein sehenswertes Match auf die Beine stellt. (****¼)"
