[7.0] "This was a very good match. Bron Breakker was well on his way to success already on the main roster and he wasn't even on Raw for very long. Ilja Dragunov is awesome, he's not only a great wrestler but he's also a ball of intensity. Then again Breakker is also very intense, so it makes for interesting matches whenever these two are in the ring. This felt like a fight and if it wasn't for the sudden finish as well as a commercial break, I think I would have given the match a higher rating. The finish had Dragunov go for a move by jumping off the ring apron, but Breakker caught him midair for a Spear. Supposedly the back of his head hit the apron and knocked him loopy, forcing the referee to end the match and award the win to Breakker. I have no idea if Dragunov really got hurt or it was booked that way, but it did make for a flat finish to an otherwise fun match. ***3/4"

[8.0] "[3.75*] Phenomenal match, wow. This was actually better than Ilja vs Ricochet and all the Ilja vs Bron matches recently. Both guys just hit the shit out of each other in a super stiff battle with an ending that I loved. Ilja sold it perfectly like he was having a fucking convulsion, it was incredible. Superb work from start to finish, strong spots, on point selling on the guts by Ilja and a dominant performance from Bron. Great TV."

I feel like there was nothing to really differentiate them and it hurts my opinion even more. This little feud could have done with some promos, I feel like they barely talked and it felt more like a wait till the ppv title match between Breakker and Sami type feud than an Dragunov vs Breakker feud."

Tiger Mask IVXX wrote on 18.08.2024:
[6.0] "Dragunov is my favorite guy working right now, but he got so much offense in this one and it hurts the match. We need his selling to make the match. At least we got cross-eyed Dragunov at the end. Like every RAW match, they cut the heat with commercials and when we came back for the second half, Bron ate almost all of the offense. Did not do him any favors. Having him do the Frankensteiner was also wasted here."

[8.0] "Definitely the match of the night. I'm not sure how I feel about this ending in referee stoppage, but I am glad that Breakker got the win. I think a Triple Threat Match would have been cool, especially with WWE not making the CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre match a Triple Threat for whatever reason, but I'm still looking forward to this MITB Rematch."
darkflame4527 wrote on 30.07.2024:
[7.0] "Admittedly, it is a shorter match, but these guys can also be counted on to deliver. Great spots like Ilja getting bumped on the top of the ringpost and then dropping off it like he fell off a cliff. Really wished this became a triple threat for Summerslam, but eh, longterm storytelling?"
Frank Shooter wrote on 28.07.2024:
[7.0] "Sad to not rate this **** like it should be, but man, that finish sucked so bad. It's ok to put Bron over, the dude is bound for dominance and stardom, I'm ok with him going over but it's true I preferred a Triple Threat given how much WWE has been involving Ilja into Bron's feuds, but Ilja looked too bad with that finish. Ilja should've shown he could continue, enter the ring, and eat another Spear from Bron, then cover him. I don't know what's the idea of WWE with Ilja's booking, they put him to deliver constant bangers but he barely gets any momentum as he loses all key matches he wrestles. Only thing I care is that he challenges Gunther in Berlin for the World Title. That should be the main event for the PPV. But aside from that, this was Bron's best main roster match and the best he had with Ilja. One thing I didn't like about their last match is I felt a huge lack of instensity, which is something weird coming from these two. Well, this match had exactly that. Hard blows coming from both sides, Bron with his powerhouse style while Ilja went with his strikes, chops and kicks. Amazing selling and drama by Ilja, as always, his psychology is unique in the wrestling world, and Bron also did good with his remorseless destroyer attitude. A shitty ending for one of the best TV matches of the year, well, one of the best matches of the year in general (*** 3/4)"

[8.0] "The third match to cap off their Raw trilogy and it was brutal, hard hitting and back and forth. Its a real shame the match at Summerslam isnt a Triple Threat, especially because of how Sami and Iljas match ended in a none finish, but good in Ilja for putting Bron over in such a manner."

Mizzle Assault Ant wrote on 26.07.2024:
[9.0] "While notably not as good as their banger in NXT last year, this was still a great TV match by two of the most intense and easy to watch guys currently in WWE. Not impossible to imagine this as the main event of Wrestlemania someday, I think both guys have it in them to go that far. Ilja's credentials are already well established and I think he is the talent that impresses me most of the whole current WWE roster, dude just seems on fire right now. Bron is special to watch though, I can't believe how explosive this guy is. Can easily compare him to Goldberg and I mean that as a big positive. Comparison to his famous dad and uncle is obvious as well, he's got that insane Steiner horse strength. This was hard hitting and bomb filled and I dug it a lot, the ending was a bit odd as Ilja went down outside on a spear and the ref called off the match seemingly as an angle as opposed to a real injury (Ilja's selling is a bit too over the top to be confused for a real injury, not that I mind). Despite the abrupt nature, I didn't mind the ending as it certainly puts over that Bron can put someone out at anytime if he gets you at full tilt."

Hollywood Hangman wrote on 26.07.2024:
[8.0] "Ilja Dragunov vs Bron Breakker III (IV) tore the house down in the third best RAW match of the year. Their previous two RAW matches were fairly good, but struggled for heat, connective tissue, and a stylistic common ground. This match didn't have any of those problems. It felt like the arrival of two young stars in an intense and gritty fight. The match had real spirit, and Dragunov earned the crowds respect through guts and resiliency. Very physical, and Bron was able to channel that carnal fury he has in angles into a match. Bron Breakker is the number 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship, and Dragunov continues to be protected, which increases suspicions that he's being saved for Gunther in Berlin."
VanJiminator wrote on 26.07.2024:
[8.0] "Really fun physical match. Huge spots by both men. Ilja's selling is off the charts good. Super physical battle and it would've been fair to have a draw here but the finish advances the storyline for sure. The spot with the duplex onto the ring post was great, the best part about it being Ilja took a huge bump to the floor. Ilja's strength was on display nicely enough to put him over long-term despite taking an L here. It's fairly likely Bron takes the title at Summerslam and they have Sami/Jey Uso getting Ucey and ready for War-games. I can see an even better rematch than this."

[7.0] "Ilja Dragunov Vs Bron Breakker: this match started off really well. The crowd was into it immediately and they gave them plenty to be excited about. A good pace and exchanged some offence. Ilja hit a good looking knee and The break spot was Breakker slamming Dragunov into the top of the ring post, it looked brilliant. The came back from the break and Bron carried on working the ribs he just hurt and Dragunov fighting from underneath, Breakker hits his Frankensteiner, Dragunov his H Bomb, and a ring apron Death Valley Driver, Steiner spears outside the ring in mid air and unfortunately that was the end to an excellent match. Easy 8 apart from the finish, which makes sense in some ways. This feud will be money for YEARS. 7.5/10"

[8.0] "Very strong start to the show. Intensity meats even more intensity and makes for a fun clash. Positively surprised this match did not end in a DQ or No Contest through interference. Finish not only put Breakker over some more in being a beast but it also saved Ilja from taking another pinfall loss and simply being beaten because the referee decided to end the match."

[7.0] "Good match. This was a hard hitting fight with some stiff shots and big moves. Cool spot with Bron dropping Dragunov gut first on top of the ring post and bumping to the floor, that looked painful. Bron hits a spear as Dragunov was coming off the apron, which resulted in him not being able to get up and the ref ending the match. An interesting finish where Dragunov doesn't have to get pinned and once again makes Bron look like a killer as he gets a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship against Sami at SummerSlam. 7.5/10"
BigReedus wrote on 24.07.2024:
[8.0] "A fluid and brutal war of attrition between two incredible wrestlers with a lot of in-ring chemistry. They chopped each other so hard that a single tear rolled down GUNTHER's cheek backstage. The match had a dangerous vibe from the start. Felt like these two really wanted to hurt each other. Ilya getting thrown on top of the ring post was wince-inducing. He brought it to Bron, though, believably battling the jacked star to a standstill for much of the match. It seemed like Ilya might actually have Bron on the ropes a time or two, like with the driver he planted on him on the ring apron. Alas, Bron can't lose in this stage of his ascent to stardom, so a weird ending resulted with a worked injury call-off after Bron speared Ilya into another dimension. Still, this was a tense encounter and a worthy opening match to RAW."

This was fortunately the best match out of their trilogy, a lot of crazy moves, and some brutal spots, but kind of a questionable ending in my opinion, but I guess thats a way to get Ilja off of TV for a bit, maybe there is still a chance they could do a triple threat at SummerSlam because Dragunov wasnt even pinned but I doubt they do that."

[9.0] "Best match these two have had on the main roster, I think. Far better than their last outing. This was a brutal, PPV worthy war between two hard hitters that ended just as viciously and suddenly. There were a couple of weird and gnarly spots here, particularly Bron dropping Ilja on his ribs to the turnbuckle top. Far and away the match of the night."

[8.0] "The opener was the highlight of the night! Bron & Ilja went at it and put on a show. They have great chemistry, like we've seen many times before on NXT. The combination of Ilja's intensity, athleticism & Bron's power, and heel mannerisms made the match feel even more important (given it was a #1 contender match). I wouldn't say I liked how the game ended, but I can understand why WWE did that. It's like the WWE Speed match between Ilja & Carmelo. WWE wishes to push these three while keeping them as hot as possible with the fans."

Not to sure how i feel about the finish becuase i dont really like the idea of the ref stopping the match because that goes completely against what ilja character is. Still feel like summerslam should have been a three way with the finish being breakker pinning both sami and ilja. Great match"

[9.0] "Great TV match. Ilja is so damn good in the ring and Breakker continues to impress with his incredible natural talent and athleticism. These have a rivalry going back to NXT and they have good chemistry. Ilja's execution is amongst the best in the business I would argue. I was hoping for a screwy finish so we could get a triple threat at Summerslam but oh well. I expect Ilja will get a title shot against new champ Bron in Berlin."

They surely have chemistry, it's obvious, because they have similar styles and they had wrestled each other before. I enjoyed the couple of fine looking spots, I just don't think it's something I will remember for a long time"

Bron is incredible at beating the shit out of you, and Dragunov is unmatched at having the shit beat out of him. Its always a recipe for success. Loved the ending too, never saw a spot like that before"

"It's a good, solid Raw match between two of the top up-and-coming wrestlers on the roster. It was a good set-up for the PPV IC title match, with the winner facing Sami. The ending could have been stronger, but for a TV match, it did its job."

Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov since back in NXT always had great chemistry so I wasnt surprised when the crowd got behind it easily. There was many cool spots in this match especially when Bron Breakker caught the spear on the outside and Ilja Dragunov banged his head on the apron which allowed the referee to call off the match and have Bron Breakker get the win and to face Sami Zayn at WWE SummerSlam for the WWE Intercontinental Championship."

They are great partners in the ring and makes me hope they have many more matches together in years to come. Not to mention this makes the IC title feel like a big deal, which it should. Good stuff all around."
