Probably my biggest dream match to that point, the 2 best leaders of queens quest, it was insane to see. And they did not disappoint in the slightest, a near perfect match all around. |

Do give some credit for this being the Iyo resurgence of 2025 so to speak. |

21 | 02.05.2025 | Pixelized0 | 10.0 | This is the 2024 Women's match of the year and probably in my top 3 overall. IYO in Japan felt like a god returning home. This match felt like the biggest thing ever and was very enjoyable. The actual wrestling is what you'd expect from IYO at her upper limit. She was unleashed and able to give more than she had been allowed ever in WWE. Utami was awesome as well being a great base for IYO's high flying. This is my comfort match and one of my favorite matches ever. |

30 | 22.04.2025 | uselessdollthing | 7.0 | This reminds me of Okada vs Kiyomiya, though obviously not structured like this its obvious that Hayashishita really doesn't stand a chance against Iyo in the end, despite putting up a good fight. Iyo totally let loose and wow, it's crazy that IYO is a top wrestler in the world and yet often isn't wrestling at full capacity at all. She totally showed that she can very easily go back to the vicious side present in her early Stardom years. I do really not like the amount of kickouts in this despite it all and although Utami did show up maybe she had a bit too much control. Just minor nitpicks, but the kickouts is a drawback for this match. |

From the entrances to the special masks (Queen's Quest reference) to INCREDIBLE in-ring action to post match speech - it was awesome. Seeing IYO in Japan after all those years was just beautiful moment, you can tell she was so happy to be back. She brought back some classic moves of her she's not using in WWE - seeing her doing the tombstone piledriver just made me smile. Also i think SKY proved to everyone even though she's in WWE now, she can easily hang with the best in Japan - this just proves she is THE greatest wrestler out there. Moving to Utami - it was her dream match and she literally blow the roof against her idol. Currently Hayashishita is one of the best in Japan and her strength is unmatched - i was speechless when she was picking up and throwing IYO with such an ease. Their chemistry was amazing and the action was very smooth. Definitely MUST WATCH match. ***** |

I haven't seen much of io/iyo but this match made me think she's a far better performer than utami who while did well, considering the match was a one-sided beatdown, didn't do anything special either. Iyo did some nice spots and overall I enjoyed it. *** 1/2 |

A true dream match that delivered in spades. Two of the best performers the world has went out there and proved why they're both so highly regarded. I'm just so grateful this match happened. I would love to see Iyo get the chance to perform outside of WWE regularly like this. It's probably not gonna happen but I would've said this was impossible this time last year. 4.5* |

50 | 18.02.2025 | FelipeTalksGraps | 9.0 | [4.5*] Obviously the best match of the event and honestly nothing comes close. This felt so special from the beginning, with Iyo making her entrance with the mask. It had a super big match feel and these ladies did not disappoint by any means. I had a smile on my face throughout the entire match, that was basically Iyo pulling her best moves and Utami selling her ass off. She did a lot of stuff she is not used to do in WWE, like the Avalanche Poisonrana or the Tombstone, she even acknowledged it on an interview. Utami was phenomenal also and you could see the war marks on her face. My only complaint about the match is the fact that it ended way too easily for Iyo, on the first Moonsault. If Utami kicked out, it would have been better, because on this way it lacked a little bit of emotion, something I value a lot in puro/joshi big matches. It was still phenomenal the way it was. |

Iyo gets to take the shackles off and instead of showing up and playing the hits; she goes full Io Shirai. These two didn't hold back but even still, there's another level to unlock if they ever get the chance. Iyo's athleticism is unmatched and Utami's bridging suplex game is a work of art. Banger. |
64 | 26.01.2025 | SugarTits | 8.0 | Utami Hayashishita takes on Iyo sky in her dream match, with lofty expectations placed upon this before going in i have to say i was a bit dissapointed. Iyo Sky is a one of a kind talent in my eyes and shows that here, an incredible performance from her, playing the master to Utami's rookie, truly showing off her starpower and big match capabilities in her return to japan. The first 10-15 minutes of this match are actually quite great and was a direction i wish the match followed more, a great psychological and physical battle between the two, with a tangible passion from both but for different reasons, Iyo's first time back wrestling in Japan while trying and succedding to showcase to her former audience that she can still put down the new competition, whereas Hayashishita is willing to take a beating in order to try and triumph in her dream match. Unfortunatley Utami is the problem for me in this match, once she takes control i feel as though the match in some ways falls apart and their just doing big moves and big kickouts. Also being my first Hayashishita match i didnt really know what to expect but i can say after watching that match she is not someone that i would be diving straight into again. The final 8 or so minutes are the other problem with this match and sort of just feel as though it was just big moves and kickouts while losing the thread the match had built in the beginning. I dont think this is detrimental to the match but it also doesnt improve it in anyway. Overall i feel as though Iyo is the star of the match, showcasing her skills and guiding the match in a brutal student vs master contest - **** |
65 | 20.01.2025 | Bapesta956 | 10.0 | Iyo showed that were doubting if she can still perform at a high level. Even at 60%-70% of Iyo in wwe is still better than all of the roster. Im a big fan of Utami and im happy she got her dream match. This match delivered on so many levels and i hope we get another match between the two down the road for the marigold red belt or even in a tag match. |
66 | 19.01.2025 | darkflame4527 | 9.0 | [****3/4] We all know Iyo was the best women's wrestler in the world, but man, Utami is the shit. After some early graps, Iyo shows off athleticism early with a cartwheel + dropkick + kip-up to get the crowd roaring. She pulls Utami by the foot to the outside and hits a beautiful suicide dive. Utami is selling like Iyo broke 5 of her ribs + her sternum with those stomps. Lots of Iyo getting into Utami's head, dominating the whole match so far. Iyo almost gets caught but hits a beautiful hurricanrana DDT. She keeps putting the pressure with meteoras, top rope missile dropkicks, a 619, submissions, and just dominating everything. She hits the Over the Moonsault on Utami to the outside. So far, this is just the Iyo show, and Utami is getting annihilated. Utami's comeback is halted when Iyo hits an AVALANCHE POISONRANA! Utami does the Cesaro-esque spin while having Iyo in a chokehold, which looked hilariously awesome. Iyo counters the Hijack bomb with ANOTHER poisonrana, and both trade blows until Iyo this a nasty sit-down double under hook facebuster. She hits the running meteora into the corner but gets countered by a middle-rope German suplex into a bridge. Utami's core and neck strength are next level. Utami hits the double roll gut-wrench sit-down facebuster. She hits the Hijack Bomb, but IYO KICKS OUT! Iyo synched in the crossface only the hit a brutal knee to the face. She hits a Tombstone Piledriver, followed by the Over the Moonsault for the win. This in-ring psychology was absolutely brilliant. A clear case of master vs. student with Iyo (in kayfabe) getting used to wrestling in Japan again. Utami's body strength is something to behold and is one of my favorite current joshi wrestlers right now. |

70 | 11.01.2025 | Philnox | 10.0 | A very special match for many reasons, and one of the few who actually deserves to be called a "Dream Match" since, well, facing Iyo was Utami's dream since she joined Stardom, and it was very unlikely it would happen. But it did! And the match itself is pretty good. Iyo came back to Japan and used all the experience she got through the years in WWE (and the experience she had before but couldn't use in WWE, of course.) to deliver an amazing match, with Utami not being that far behind and delivering her best performance since leaving Stardom. Very hard hitting and fast-paced at the same time, with some amazing moments and a very well done finish. |

The two were really stiff in this, Iyo especially didn't pull any punches which looked great and really sold how much she dominated Utami. Utami sold Iyo's dominant offense very well. Everyone knew iyo was never losing this, but it was fun seeing Iyo take bumps you don't normally see from her wwe run. I don't think there was anything wrong with this match, it might have been perfectly worked but it didn't personally connect with me which is why it gets a 9 and not a 10. |

90 | 09.12.2024 | skywalker | 10.0 | Iyo Sky vs. Utami Hayashishita was nothing short of a masterpiece. Two of the absolute best in the world, and yet its Iyo Sky who truly steals the show. From the moment she steps into the ring, Iyo radiates a level of excellence that is simply unmatched. Her in-ring work is flawless, blending high-flying precision, technical mastery, and unmatched fluidity in ways few can even dream of achieving. She doesn't just perform; she defines what modern wrestling is all about. Iyo Sky is the best wrestler to ever exist. Theres no doubt in my mind. Her ability to tell stories in the ring, the way she transitions between moves, and her ability to make everything look effortless is a testament to her once-in-a-lifetime talent. We're witnessing greatness unfold in real time, and she should absolutely be pushed to the moon. She has every tool to be a dominant champion for years to comewhether its singles, tag teams, or any other challenge she faces. Iyo should win countless titles, dominate main event scenes, and continue to prove to the world what we already know: she is the future of wrestling. She deserves to be seen for what she truly isa generational talent who will go down in history as one of the all-time greats. Every match she has is a privilege to watch, and its clear that her best is yet to come. No one else is even close. |

92 | 03.12.2024 | Vinny Santos | 9.0 | Just rewatched this match and, my God, it's one of the best matches of the whole year, men or women. IYO did a fantastic job in America in 2024, but in this match in Japan, she was unshackled from the "American TV Wrestling" chains, and she could be Io Shirai again for one night. Also, Utami was amazing, to me she's a top 5 wrestler in the world under 30 years old. Unforgettable match. (****3/4). |

94 | 01.12.2024 | Hollywood Hangman | 10.0 | Everything about Iyo/Utami as a total package was terrific. One of my favorite matches of the year. Iyo was the mountain that Utami has yet to scale, and coming out of the match it appeared as if Sky was unscathed whereas Hayashishita went through the ringer, but a great late touch was that after Iyo gave her speech to Utami and walked off, she began to collapse towards the ramp, indicating that Utami put up a much bigger fight than Iyo was letting on. Dramatic irony as Utami now feels that theres a wider gap than there actually is, but the audience saw that Iyo was taken to her limit. |
95 | 22.11.2024 | cal9099 | 8.0 | More or less all of this score is for Io who came across as a real star, it was a treat to see her doing what she can truly do. It was my first time seeing Utami though and I can't say I was impressed, she just isn't nearly as athletic or charismatic as Io and it showed when her control periods were met with more or less complete silence. I can see why people wouldn't enjoy this given it was more or less a constant trading of big spots, but I think the ladies put their bodies on the line enough and Io exuded enough star charisma for me to warrant giving it ****. Certainly not a MOTY contender though, not even top 20 probably for me. |
