[1.0] "I really didn't like this match from the start. We fight for 5 minutes. outside and the referee decides to count down from that moment, while in addition we are fighting with objects. The match comes down more to punches than to good holds, knowing the wrestling of these 2 wrestlers I expected so much better. Too much overselling. Poorly played interventions, the referee is taken for an idiot throughout the match. Moreover, the latter does not do the counts when Takahashi has his shoulders on the ground at certain moments. It was horrible, I couldn't wait for the end. (0*3/4)"

[3.0] "I just hated what I just saw. This is absolute nonsense. The beginning was good, but even the BOSJ 2020 final ( that I don't like at all ) was better than this. Hiromu's selling is at his worst, he no sells a Powerbomb on the neck to do a submission, he even no sells some chair shots by Desperado after Kanemaru distracted the referee. So we have overbooking, and more, for nothing ! Kanemaru and Bushi interfering was just too much, then the ending is really bad, Hiromu completely no sells Desperado's Powerbomb on the corner to counter the very next move with his Corner Exploder Suplex, to dominate and win. Awful match. *3/4"

Then it turned into your usual suzuki gun bull shit which i didn't like much. However, the action was actually good with hot crowd and some good near falls. One more thing that should be noticed is the length : a bit too long like many other NJPW main events."

[9.0] "Might be an unpopular opinion here, but I liked this match a lot more than their BOSJ match. While I thought their previous match was good, it was missing the drama to take it to the next level, which they were able to bring this time around. You could argue the overbooking brought the match down, but I would say it did the opposite and really added to the match's intensity. Hiromu was great of course, but Desperado had his best performance ever imo. Hiromu retained, finally getting a win over his upperclassmen, ****1/2."

The one big downfall of the match was the strike exchanges seeming like a massive cooldown. That almost took me out of the match. Finishing stretch was awesome though as Hiromu finally puts away Despy, ***3/4"
