[10.0] "Something about this match made me just incredibly emotional watching it, I just had a complete smile on my face for thirty minutes watching four of the greatest wrestlers of all time beat the living shit out of each other. I loved every bit of this, for the entire thirty minutes. Draws don't usually upset me unless it's either incredibly obvious or the match was dull as dishwater beforehand. But this one was just an incredible experience for me. Obviously everyone else's viewpoints are gonna be different, so I am gonna love this match more than others. But still, this is four legends of our industry turning back the clock and giving the best King's Road match NOAH's given us in the 2020s. Five Stars out of Five."
[9.0] "[4.25*] This match was just beautiful. The whole segment was perfect from start to finish. From Kobashis surprise appearance at the beginning before the match, to the crowd chanting Misawas name at the ending while his theme was playing and Go was legitimately emotional dropping a lot of tears. The match itself was very fucking good too, tho. For the first 20 minutes it may have felt way too long with some dead time but everybody knew this was going to happen because every Limit Break Main Event hits the time limit mark, so I just tried to enjoy it and I obviously did it because all 4 guys are phenomenal workers and true veterans. I loved Go and Marufuji trading chops and Sugi absolutely beating the hell out of him with the elbows, it was a great callback to their incredible feud that is maybe the most important in NOAHs history as they are the 2 biggest champs. The last 5 minutes were literally 5-star tier, it was emotional, dramatic and felt big, exactly how a NOAH Main Event match looks. This was the perfect homage to Go, he was able to both beat the shit out of Maru and Sugi, but he also got hit pretty hard by them, as he would love to be. This felt very similar to the Nakajima last match, where ironically the only change to this one is him not being there and Akiyama on his place. OBS: I missed him. It was supposed to be him. I miss AXIZ and I am sure Go would have loved it. Anyways, this was perfect the way it was and one of my favorite matches this year, a true love letter to Puroresu. Misawa IS proud."
[8.0] "Go's 20th Anniversary match is a love letter to NOAH's early years featuring four wrestlers who were all featured heavily during the company's first decade. I admire the escalation featured here. This starts out feeling like a house show match with a laid back feeling. We see some tribute spots to other puroresu greats including a Kobashi spinning chop and a barrage of Kawada kicks. Marufuji acts like a spoilt child by playing dirty and tempers start to flare up. He was great in the little shit stirrer role. We get an excellent finishing stretch as the time limit ticks away. Go making his comeback was goddamn glorious and the roof nearly came off Korakuen Hall when he fought through the Olympic Slam. Time has certainly caught up to everyone in this match, but they showed that they can still deliver the goods when needed."
[10.0] "An amazing showcase from all 4 legends of puroresu that was elevated due to the event it was on. Main eventing the show celebrating Go Shiozaki and his 20th year in wrestling was beautiful and incredible. The time limit draw is a little bit of a dull ending, but it makes total sense as none of these 4 men really should have been pinned or submitted. Everyone looked so good and strong in a VERY physical match. With the amount of chops turning everyone's chests red, it was clear they weren't holding back and that just made it all so much more special."
[8.0] "This main event was incredible, wow, what a proper celebration to Go Shiozaki's 20-year career, he was emotional at the beginning, so cool to watch, and then they brought Kenta Kobashi to pay homage to him and do the commentary for the match, it shows how special this was. The first half had some clear dead and boring moments, but overall there were some stuff I liked, they were hitting each other hard like it's been in this whole event, but the ending moments were truly all-timer, so frenetic, they knew how to use the time-limit with mastery, everyone was tense watching, and the time-limit was beneficial for everybody, the champs didn't lost and Shiozaki didn't lost at his own celebration. After the match the four men called Kenta Kobashi to the ring and celebrated together, beautiful moment and main event. Those final minutes were pure greatness - {***3/4}"
[8.0] "This match was so good that it just flew by and I didn't even realize that the time limit was closing in till the very end. Just a very enthralling celebration of NOAH's history and Japanese wrestling as a whole."
[10.0] "This was incredible. This was a love letter to puroresu. This was, as the IWC likes to flippantly say, "cinema." Kobashi making an appearance at the beginning. The in-ring wrestling. The atmosphere. Everything here came together to give us a masterpiece. Maybe there are better tag team matches out there, but very few are able to get as much emotion out as something like this. This is probably my tag team MOTY so far, and I doubt it'll be changed. Easy five stars. *****"
[9.0] "A great NOAH style match with the most of the action being chops being thrown and in which the time just flew by. The ending stretch could have been better since the bout ended in a very cold and unexpected way but the rest was a perfect way to celebrate Shiozaki. ****1/2"
[7.0] "Enjoyable tag match, albeit a bit long for me and not really in my preferred style. Still, you have to recognize the talent involved, everyone here was definitely working hard."
[7.0] "I love how Akiyama never misses an opportunity to be disrespectful and take a cheap shot after everyone else obliged for the clean break. Sugiura is right up for taking the fight to him, he is always so impressive and never seems to age. Go's machine guns chops are as loud as ever. I feel like Go and Marufuji didn't do an awful lot so far outside of chops, though Marufuji's key lock submission was cool. Sugi's rapid elbows to Go in the corner were great. The finishing stretch brought the match up a good bit, with Go able to finish looking strong with the help of Akiyama delivering an exploder to Sugi, I liked him getting the knees up in the last few seconds. Time limit draw, felt like this could have been a lot better but it was still a decent showing."
[8.0] "This was as expertly put together & paced as you'd hope for from these four. Inevitably they've all slowed down and spread out a bit, but when it comes to packing a serious wallop and going toe-to-toe, NOAH vets still set the brutality bar ****"
[9.0] "Classic NOAH style, hard hitting action between grizzled veterans who all know each other like the back of their hands. Crowd was super hot for this match, just adds to the already intense atmosphere to hear people gasp after every chop and knee strike."
[8.0] "Bloated at this length but even that comes with great charm, as the lads battle father time in a throwback puro tag. As expected, Shiozaki is the centrepiece, with Marufuji leaning heel in order to emphasise that. The finish is one that'll truly stick with me though, giving this some gravity beyond what otherwise, was merely a good time. It's a weirdly moving conclusion, as Shiozaki flirts with a fairytale ending to his anniversary only to be thwarted, the time-limit following moments later. It's not a groundbreaking concept by any means but in execution, it has such power, particularly with their extended sell afterwards. That moment, as well as the closing few minutes, put this over the top but even as it drifts some in the first half, there's a lot to like here. ****"
[8.0] "Kobashi came out, Go was in his old gear, the crowd were loving it, the start of this bout was truly something special. Marufuji really is not what he used to be physically, but he still did some good character work, and this still managed to feel quite magical. Akiyama and Shiozaki did some great work, Sugiura looked really good and Marufuji, as mentioned, held up his end even though he seems to be struggling with his body. The team of Sugiura and Marufuji play up their heelish tendencies, targeting Shiozaki, biting, etc. and the crowd get very on board. There are some epic spots here and the closing stretch is excellent, and while it is certainly not perfect especially from a perspective of clean hitting moves, it is a damn good watch. Ends with a time limit draw after 30 minutes of really fun action. While this match was not perfect, it was a really sweet recognition of Shiozaki and his peak era as a worker. It is topped off with a beautiful speech from Shiozaki while holding a bouquet of green flowers, a lovely cap to the show. This is 100% worth a watch and a really good time, especially if you like the men involved, or just love puro in general."
[9.0] "Awesome anniversary match that encapsulated why Go Shiozaki is so damn beloved, he showed so much fighting spirit and really shined throughout the entirety of the match while surrounded by bonafide legends. Everything was also incredibly stiff, no ones chest wasn't medium rare by the end of the match."
[8.0] "Puro for the soul. Marafuji and Shiozaki chop the shits out of each other, Akiyama provides a solid effort and heavy dose of nostalgia, while the Killing Machine brings the heat too. Shiozaki got to play the hero in front of a crowd that was there to see him, and in front of Kenta Kobashi too. Lots of little callbacks in here too. 4.25 Stars."
