I'm pretty sure this was the reason he got resigned to WWE because NJPW was red hot in the states and actually posed a threat to WWE at the time. The last thing WWE would want was them to sign Mysterio. The match itself is great and I think Hangman gets some time to shine against Tanahashi which I really liked. Cody is arguably the biggest heel in the company as he's getting the loudest boos put of everyone at this point."

This was a much needed calm down match after that very emotional and dramatic tag title match, and I think it did a great job of being fun without trying to outdo the previous match. Everyone got their spots in, and everyone looked good. This is exactly what you'd expect from a New Japan 6 man tag match."

[5.0] "Total novelty match. The big thing about this match was of course Rey Mysterio working a New Japan show but he really only played the hits. Everyone was in "phone it in" mode and by the end the match itself was completely forgettable. Cody winning felt odd but he needed to be set up as Omega's first challenger. **1/2"

Eventually, he gets the hot tag and what ensues is some pretty great six man action. Rey looks especially great, which ultimately was the point of the whole thing. Fun little match. ***1/4"

[8.0] "Really fun match. I loved everything this offered. BC were great heels and the legends team were great babyfaces. Mysterio looked amazing and had a great chemistry with Scurll so I hope for that match soon. Just a really fun match to entertain the crowd and introduce Mysterio to NJPW ***1/2"
