106.08.2025SiticEye7.0Awesome hard-hitting, well-structured match! The spot where Priest's foot got caught in the ropes was hilarious and I wish Drew used that to beat on him more but I get he had to play more face leaning in Scotland. The Punk ref stuff was silly but I didnt hate it tbh. ***3/4

2521.03.2025Keithnelson186.0This was a pretty good match, but I just wasn't a fan of some of the moments here, but that doesn't mean I full-on hated the thing. Damien botch spot was scary and it wasn't his fault after hearing reports on the ropes and CM Punk costing McIntyre was amazing and it helped build-up the storyline.

3317.02.2025FelipeTalksGraps8.0[4.0*] I can not believe I am saying this, but it was my match of the night. This shit was INCREDIBLE. To be honest, now that everyone knows Priest is not really injured, the botch was the best thing that could ever happen to this match. It created a lot of heat and a very compelling story that single-handedly made this match over deliver. Priests selling was just straight-up perfect, I was in awe, impressed. How the hell was Punishment Martinez selling his leg like he was on AJPWs King Road, lmfao. The moment that completely sold this match for me was when Priest did a Razors Edge with just one leg to sell the injury. He carried a very heavy big man with ONE LEG to sell the botch. This is impressive. This is the difference between a veteran and a rookie like Jade, that blew everything up after the match. Damian not only did not blow up, he also made the match miles BETTER because of it. This selling, man I do not think I will forget that, lol. I also think the ending was pretty awesome, and the camera work on the reveal of Punk was one of the best I have ever seen. This match mixed up great aspects of wrestling with a pretty good entertainment part that WWE dominates, and it resulted on a proper Main Event and the MOTN.

5529.11.2024Paradox278.0****. This Match completely exceeded my expectations. I remember Drew and Priest had a match on Raw earlier this year and it bored me to tears. This match was just two big, physical dudes beating the hell out of each other and that is really all I wanted out of this match.

6007.11.2024Will Morris8.0was not expecting this match to be anywhere near this good and i'm now fully sold on damien as world champion. i loved the crowd work from the entrances, it felt like 2011 chicago or 2005 ecw. i loved how the botch by damien was worked as an injury the rest of the match. the kickout from the second claymore was also great and fully sold me. the ending was also very clever and the correct booking decision. ****1/4

6625.10.2024Mizzle Assault Ant2.0Hm, this left me extremely cold. It put me in the weird position where on the one hand I am not really a big fan of Drew McIntyre, so while it's nice he was so over in his home town, I also didn't really care if he won the "world title" (or the dimestore equivalent) or not. But at the same time to then set him up to lose was also very deflating? Like, just seems like a big missed opportunity, especially since many folks are really high on Drew. The action of the match itself seemed pretty forgettable to me, I don't really dislike Priest exactly but he's just sort of there and he didn't really impress me much in this match either. Just not interesting to me at all I guess. It meant a lot more to others and more power to them, just my two cents here.

7829.09.2024Willie 192009.0Really good way to end of this roller coaster of a show. Damian was a great champion that got the much deserved win. Drew continued to stir up his rivalry with Punk. Overall really fun match.
7928.09.2024Latella9.0Highly underrated. Hard-hitting, cool sequences, cool spots, etc. Incredible match and main event. Nice story with Punk and Drew with the referee moment. Amazing
8025.09.2024SpectorLKM9.0Strong main event match between two big men. My personal favorite match of the card. An electric crowd and some great hoss action.

8312.09.2024brooksavage200410.0This is a real fantastic match between both men with some hard hitting action, Priest gave an amazing performance despite getting his ankle twisted in the ring ropes, Drew gave a hometown hero performance, despite obviously being the heel, CM Punk interfering as a replacement referee was just gold and both the camera work and the time it took for people to find out it's him was just genius, costing Drew the win in the UK for the second time in his career.

8705.09.2024danzitorock8.0My favorite match of the event, this was incredible and made me feel and cheer like no other match today, people were doubting about the quality here the whole time, but the match already started good, and then Damian had a really ugly botch, and I was there bad mouthing him and thinking the match would end up just like Jade Cargill's one, but Priest started selling his ass off after the botch, making the bad landing and the dangerous position his ankle was in a huge part of the match, with a lot of credibility, and I don't know if he was legitimately injured or not, I believe he was, but the fact that he made the most out of that mistake makes me respect the guy a lot now, and props for Drew to improvise really well that whole situation, working on his ankle and handling with the situation pretty well. I value a lot when something goes wrong or unplanned, they showed creativity and huge improvisation ability, Priest had a bad fall that trapped his ankle? Let's make this one credible and keep selling the whole match, that's how it's done! The ending was awesome, with CM Punk coming in as a referee and screwing Drew at his own home, the guy is the most hated man is Scotland right know, amazing stuff, for sure some people will be mad, but wrestling fans are too much spoiled right now, they want everything in their own way, but sometimes the struggle is necessary, not always the guy they want to win will win, that's life. The whole ending sequence was interesting and will be talked about for a long time - {****}
8804.09.2024Suit Williams6.0The match was fine. It was your WWE formula main event. Finisher kickouts, moves through barricades, ref bumps. Its going through the motions. The most interesting part of the match was toward the beginning, when Priest slipped on the ACH step-up dive and took a disgusting bump on the apron as a result. Priest was limping for the rest of the match, but McIntyre never did anything toward the leg or ankle. It may have been out of concern, but I think the match gets a bit of juice if McIntyre pounced on the injury or went after it at an opportune moment in the match. I despised the booking here though. The allegedly important World Championship remains on placeholder champion Damian Priest, your top babyface on Raw screwed a country out of a moment two years in the making, and top heel McIntyre is left holding the bag. I understand the story, I just don't think it properly served anybody. ***

9301.09.2024Screaming Enigma8.0A really solid way to close the show. Priest is definitely proving any doubters he had wrong, in my opinion, as I think he's been a good champion thus far. Fighting through that rope mishap makes this a bit of a defining performance for him, in my opinion. Both of these guys looked really good here. Of course, the finish was great, as well. I was hoping Punk would show up in a black hoodie and pull the referee out mid-count as a reference to Solo Sikoa costing McIntyre the Universal Title back at Clash at the Castle in 2022, but this was still good stuff.

9619.08.2024kavcc I was there live for this match, and spent a whole lot of time worried about Damien Priest after the botch. In retrospect it looks like he just sold his ass off, but if that's the case then it's an odd choice for a heel in front of a very partisan crowd. Having said that, for the second time it really did feel like Drew was on track to win big on home turf, and as painful as Punk's interference was while watching live, looking back it's an incredible moment. Hard to judge objectively given how deflated the crowd leaving the Hydro were, but I won't forget the match in a hurry.

10013.08.2024GameBoyAbyss8.0Great stuff, through and through. Priest's botch - his fault or not, as the ropes seemed screwed up all night - was played off perfectly by each man, and Priest managing to perform at his peak, despite a tweaked ankle was really impressive. But honestly, it's Punk's screwjob that's the star of the show, a perfectly shot and performed spot that will go down as one of the moments of the year. Fun stuff, genuinely surprised Drew didn't get the belt even with Punk's screw.
