14 | 12.05.2025 | Wrestlingfan0808 | 9.0 | This match had a lot of more heat to it after Aj backdoored his way into another match with Cody after faking a retirement and catching Cody off guard by attacking him. The follow up to this was a brilliant segment that resulted in the announcement of their rematch being an I quit match. And then the day before clash of the castle, a segment between the two with Aj accusing Cody of being a quitter for how he left all the promotions he left in the past with Cody letting Aj know as a rebuttal that all those gambles he made were necessary sacrifices for why he is the current ace to begin with today. This was a really fun, brutal and innovative match with a stipulation that felt very appropriate because of how things played out. It wasn't too over the top and it didn't need to be, the match speaks for itself. Aj's experience in I quit matches ended up being his downfall, since he underestimated the lengths Cody would be willing to go to in order to still walk out of Scotland as champion. The involvement of Cody's mom was a nice touch too which added a bit of drama cause you weren't sure what Aj was willing to do to once again become WWE champion since he was so desperate since he's fighting Father Time. He got what was coming to him tho. Never mess with another man's mom. From Cody setting the tone to how he started off this match going right at Aj with a lot of rage and hatred for what Aj did to him, turning up the aggression in order to win this match, to then Aj regaining control during the later portions of the match, taking in all the heat he was getting during the match while he was taking his sweet time punishing Cody. Setting the stage for when Cody makes his big comeback, allowing Scotland to be in on it for the ride to a roaring ovation, popping at everything Cody was dishing out during the closing stretch of the match because of what Aj did to even be in this position to begin with, as I mentioned earlier. A beautiful follow up after the masterclass they had in France but this time, they made magic in Scotland. ****1/2 |

33 | 17.02.2025 | FelipeTalksGraps | 8.0 | [3.75*] Great, great match. I saw a lot of people complaining the finish but honestly I do not understand. It was the exact same as Edge vs Christian where the coward heel refused to die for the sport (because he is, huh, a heel) and so he quit because the match means less than his life. Perfectly fine with the story. My small issues with the match were: the bad and uninspiring blade job by Cody and the table spot (I thought of 50 better spots than this one that was kinda underwhelming, despite being quite funny). The whole match had great psychology and made sense from start to finish. The brainbuster on the announcers table by AJ was phenomenal. |

62 | 01.12.2024 | Festive07 | 9.0 | This being the opener should have been a sign of how the rest of the card was going to fare. I mean that in the best possible way. Both men came into the match with a ton of heat and hype and not to mention the insane atmosphere from the Scottish fans. Listening to foreign crowds compared to US crowds makes me question my patriotism at times. Anyway, these guys a had a FIGHT. Cody gets cut open surprisingly early with a microphone shot. Not a ton of blood but it still helps sell the match as the brawl it is. AJ does some really gross neck work; a brainbuster on the announcers table, an Ushigiroshi, and Pillmanizing Codys neck. AJ takes out handcuffs from a bag that almost everybody thought had thumbtacks in it, chains up Cody and starts murdering him a kendo stick. AJ tries to finish Cody with a chain assisted Phenomenal Forearm but gets a steel chair bounced off his fucking head (pretty sure this is what busted him open), bounces off the ropes before landing in Chekhovs table. Cody finishes AJ off by chaining him to the ropes and beating him up with a steel chair. Cody grabs the steel ring steps which is enough for AJ to quit but Cody snaps after the bell and hits AJ with the steps anyway. Anyway TL;DR, Cody and AJ murder each other. |

74 | 08.11.2024 | Chris | 4.0 | [**1/4] This match was very boring. The first problem is that I Quit matches are not usually good because a referee query does not make for an exciting near fall. To work they need to be brutally violent and earn the likelihood of someone quitting. That leads to the second problem, which is that WWE matches built around extreme violence are not convincingly violent. A good example of this comes early in the match when the referee asks AJ Styles if he wants to quit after a dropkick. Most of the match was a mundane walk and brawl, there was a silly spot where Cody was unconscious but the match didn't end because he has to verbally quit and the finish was no way impactful enough to justify the stipulation. |

76 | 07.11.2024 | Will Morris | 8.0 | not normally a fan of i quit matches but i trusted two of the best to deliver and they did. the brainbuster on the table was great as well as cody bleeding early. going backstage was fun, as well as the spot where aj went through the table. i really wanted to see a phenomenal forearm with the chain though. it did feel like their was an extra level this match could have reached though as cody's mum getting such little involvement made her involvement at all felt pointless. the ending was also a bit strange. ****1/4 |

81 | 22.10.2024 | Mizzle Assault Ant | 4.0 | Just like the match in France, I didn't hate this but I didn't really love it that much either. I do appreciate the blood from Cody but it still didn't feel like a particularly violent match somehow? Like the motions were there but in the scope of violent wrestling I guess I just wasn't buying it that much, and the turnaround for Cody's favor seemed a bit rushed to me. It was presented as an epic style match but really to me it didn't feel very different than a lot of other matches this year. The "Cody passed out but didn't lose" thing fell flat for me as well. |

83 | 16.10.2024 | Laceydj | 6.0 | Good opener, but very generic plunder match. Cody is an absolute star and genuine main eventer. Hasn't put a foot wrong since he has been there, but the style, the over-exposure and theatricality always brings it down a notch for me. AJ is as good as always. |
84 | 15.10.2024 | armedroomba | 7.0 | AJ really still has it. I've never been a huge fan of this stipulation, but it was a great opener and a good resolution to this feud. I just don't get why people actually think Cody was teasing a heel turn. If they were really going for that, he would have done much more than just hold the stairs for a little while longer |

89 | 04.10.2024 | Freakin Bema | 6.0 | I was actually very disappointed with this match, it was long and boring. And I would have liked to see more cool spots, but in the end we watched a long drawn out spectacle with overpowering. Rhodes' Title reign looks good so far, but it's a bit sparse and I'd like to see a real challenger. |
