[6.0] "This was a good match. For whatever reason, ever since Jay Lethal signed with AEW after they bought ROH, he hasn't done much in the 3+ years he's been there. Which is a shame because with the amount of mid-card titles they have, there's no reason why Lethal shouldn't be at least fighting for a belt if not actually holding one. By this point, Death Triangle had quietly been disbanded, so Pac for the meantime was on his own until the Death Riders became a thing. With the amount of time given, this could have been a great match or even a very good match if there was a sense of urgency. Sadly, this was kind of disappointing. It seems like they were just contempt with having a good TV, which there's nothing with that. I was just hoping it would be better considering this was their first single match together. Pac eventually won using his Brutalizer submission hold. ***1/4"
[6.0] "Another solid match for the show here in which both men involved were presented well. Lethal had a good showing with PAC getting the anticipated victory. I was hoping for a little more from these two, especially considering that the rest of the show wasn't the strongest, but this was still good."
[6.0] "Simply a good wrestling match between two decorated veterans. Every little moment counted, with attention to detail providing the platform for a bout that deserved a better crowd than this. There were some amazing sequences, including the opening stretch, the counter to the Lethal Injection, and that sickening Dragon Screw. More than anything, however, this was a logical and competitive bout between two wrestlers who know how to not lose a match. The winner had to find a way to win, and PAC certainly had external hurdles in that regard. Enjoyed this and would love to see a rematch without interference. 3.25 stars, 6.5 out of 10."
[7.0] "I thought I would be rating this a 6 for most of the match, but the closing stretch bumped it up a notch. Really fun TV match with Lethal playing his part perfectly, attacking the legs, and eventually running into trouble once he got away from the leg work. The closing stretch was much more exciting than I expected with Lethal reversing PAC's german suplex and getting a near fall off the cutter. You expect a certain baseline from these two wrestlers, even in a match that PAC is clearly winning. They delivered on the expectations and exceeded what I expected from a Rampage main event. Excellent TV."
[5.0] "I was hoping for a better match between these two, but it ended up feeling pretty lackluster. It still wasn't bad by any means, but certainly disappointing."
[5.0] "I'm sure someone was working injured in this. Probably Pac. He looked restrained throughout the match and did very little to show off his physical abilities. In any case, it was a slower and duller match than you'd expect between these two but by no means bad."
[5.0] "PAC for some reason spent one forth of the match outside the ring and even in the ring there was a lot of waiting. Of course both wrestlers are crazy talented so some spots saved it from being a boring match at least."
[6.0] "The definition of a solid match. Nothing too flashy but these two are dependable workers. Similar to the Romero/Shota match PAC could've used a win against someone higher up."
[7.0] "Solid TV main event. Lethal's singles work in AEW is always very clean. Although he doesn't win very often, this match was another clever display of making a guy higher in the pecking order in PAC look good in victory. PAC's quickness in his movement and striking very impressive."
[6.0] "Pretty fun match but I really wish that Pac got more offense here. If I saw more back and forth then a rating higher than 6 could be justified for me. Good starting point for Pac to lead up to what could be an amazing Owen Hart cup."
[7.0] "PAC really needs to have a match at All In, him missing Wembley Stadium last year was devastating as a British based fan. Good main event here against Jay Lethal, who is reliable but cast in a certain role now."
[6.0] "I love me some PAC action, he's one of my favorite wrestlers and I'm never disappointed when he gets in the ring because it's always quality with him, no matter who he faces and no matter the context. Obviously, a twelve-minute match on Rampage between him and Jay Lethal was going to be interesting at the very least. Honestly, it wasn't crazy and could have been much better, but it was still pretty solid for a match of this kind. A few too many interventions, but good content in the ring and a good clean win for PAC before starting the Owen Hart tournament."
