[6.0] "Decent opener which showcased Newman hanging in with form Heavyweight champ Naito, who worked over Newman for most of the match and both men did a pretty good job of turning 8 minutes into a solid showcase match."
[6.0] "Decent little match. They didn't waste any time and Naito actually moved around a bit better than of late. Newman also showed some fire which is desperately needed to help build his crowd connection. Newman also didn't get put away super easily, kicking out of 1 destino, which helps make him look strong. ***"
[5.0] "This match was O.K., a quick action to have Naito in the PPV, I guess. I like Newman, he's usually don't hide from a spotlight, and got some good moves in this one. (**3/4)."
[5.0] "This match was about what I expected it to be. Not a super interesting match, but Naito and Newman did well enough for a shorter match like this meant to get Naito an easier win."
[4.0] "This really didn't do a lot for me. I really don't like how Newman wrestles and obviously Naito isn't at the stage in his career where he can carry someone to a good match. The action was mostly just standard stuff from both guys: Newman doing his cheap Ospreay impersonation and Naito essentially just playing the hits. The only real notable thing that happened here was that Newman kicked out of the Destino. Perhaps he's being set up for some kind of push, but he definitely needs to work on his in ring work before I can get behind that. **"
[7.0] "Pretty short opener that comes in at a whopping 8 minutes but they managed to pack in as much as they could and managed to do a really good job with it. Even though you knew Naito was going to get the win, it managed to hold its own. 7/10"
[7.0] "This was a short and sweet match perfect to kick-out the show. The most of the action was good and looked crispy and for the most there weren't any dull moments. Of course, Naito got the win but I liked to see Newman against such and important part of the roster. ***1/2"
[5.0] "Solid opener, Newman shows flashes of greatness and can get the crowd behind him, and I'm not really at the point where I expect Naito to carry anyone anymore. 2.5 Stars."
[7.0] "A short match but very good. Nice to see Callum Newman but in a good spot. He moves really fast and got to show a bit of what he can do. ***1/4"
[3.0] "**1/4 so meh (and bad) match, the booking of Newman do in a kick-out to the Destino is something wird but maybe they are give in a little push to Newman"
[6.0] "A perfectly functional match that did what it needed to do given the participants and its place on the card. Naito looked as sharp here as he has in any match in recent memory. Naito comes away looking like he has something left in the tank, while Newman ends up looking like an emerging threat."
[6.0] "Perfectly fine match. There's definitely not too much to love here but there's nothing truly bad about it either. Newman looked a lot better than I was expecting him to which is a nice positive."
[6.0] "This was the best performance to date from Newman and he seemed to be his own man which is really positive. The convergence of a Naito on the downfall and a Newman who is finally starting to find his place is a really interesting story and they told it well in the ring. By the end Newman literally cannot stand and it perfectly conveys the idea that he is giving everything he has. Naito gets the Destino for the win after a great performance from both men, especially going into the second half. It is not a MOTYC but it was pretty good and worth a watch especially if you are interested in Newman and his development."
[5.0] "Not great, but I like the progression from newman going down to the running Destino (that never normally pins anybody) in their prior tag match, but surviving it here but being completely done. I really appreciate how hard Naito shat on him. It looked like an extremely easy match, as it well should be in this stage of their respective careers. You need stompings like this to make the match where Newman finally truly holds his own to hit a lot harder. As for the match and not the greater narrative, Naito is taking it very easy, and Newman doesn't get to do a lot, so there's not a lot here from a ring perspective."
