8 | 18.02.2025 | FelipeTalksGraps | 9.0 | [4.25*] As much as I started the match rooting for Kento, as always, Yumas performance captivated me and I ended up popping a lot for his win. This match was just so damn good. The early segments outside of the ring were just great, both guys are very athletic and have great chemistry with each other. All the Fighting Spirit moments were good because they sold it afterwards, and by selling it properly, these sequences mean a lot more. The ending stretch was phenomenal, with a lot of great nearfalls, knees and suplexes. Kentos face when Anzai hit the Shutdown Suplex was awesome, his facial expressions are just the best. |

24 | 05.09.2024 | danzitorock | 9.0 | What a good match, one of the best of the month, only losing to Kento Miyahara (again) vs Jun Saito. My expectations here were huge, and it absolutely paid off, this was a super match, I just thought it was a shame that they didn't explored the Ace vs Future Ace dynamic more, maybe with Kento underestimating and fighting to not be overshadowed by the young ace... the moves were incredible, the pace flawless, but I didn't liked very much the choice of psychology here, still, from a ring skill point of view, this was by far one of the most incredible of the year, I'm not a huge fan of the several fighting spirit moments, where they stand up right after suffering a move and start screaming and all of that, but this tiny details couldn't stop the match from being awesome, I loved the nearfalls at the end and the stiff knees, and also, the way they created anticipation for the Shutdown German Suplex, with Anzai trying to avoid it all the time. Fabulous match - {****1/4} |
25 | 05.09.2024 | LincolnAntoine4482 | 8.0 | This will be a definitive match in Anzais career and will be referenced in articles and video packages for years. Miyahara continued to be the most consistent big singles match worker there is in Japan today and Anzai had to defeat him at the top of his game. Yumas jumping knee strikes were great and although I dont love how difficult his finish is to set up, it still looks awesome when he hits it. |

29 | 22.08.2024 | Judestar | 8.0 | Shocked that they let Kento lose a third title challenge in a row. This was in stark contrast to Anzai's match with Nakajima, here he felt like a true main eventer who could go on equal footing with the ace of the promotion and anyone else. Exciting to see where AJPW goes next with him as they've lacked fresh main event talent for years. |

In fact, the final stretch was no where bad but it didn't quite reach the level of other modern AJPW matches. Other than that, this was your usual awesome epic title main-event so no big complains. ****1/2 |

Unbelievable, Kento is incredible at getting the crowd on his side, Anzai with that incredible fire and spirit to shine on the comebacks and look like a star. Absolute MOTYC. ****3/4 |
69 | 09.06.2024 | Cigarette Salesman | 8.0 | I really liked the build of this, the first ten minutes up until the dragon suplex on the apron. Up until that point it is the kind of match to which you can genuinely apply the too oft-tossed around term 'every move means something' as is so often the case when talking about the ace. In the first half of this match, it's legit. After that, I think it devolves into something more standard and, to me, far less impressive. Still very good, both guys selling is incredible and lends it all weight, but there's too little unique about it to make it truly stand out. Still a very impactful step on the road to legitimizing a new king. Team Baba so far doing a much better job on that front than Team Inoki. |

76 | 04.06.2024 | GenerationalCreator | 9.0 | Yuma Anzai was heavily criticized when he won the title, he wasn't ready for the title and in fact it was a very risky decision, but it has been working VERY well. Kento Miyahara is indeed one of the best in the company's history, the Ace needed to carry the company until Yuma is ready to take over. It was an excellent match, despite having some problems, it was an epic of almost thirty minutes. It's true that there were dead moments and I even thought that the pacing could be better in some small points of the match, but the hot crowd helped to keep the pace the whole time. Kento took over, his Big Boot at the beginning was very cool, the small brawl outside was an excellent warm-up and set the pace and story, all the headbutts of Miyahara and Anzai being devastated in those first minutes, subdued just as he was against Nakajima. It doesn't make sense to me that Jun Saito was one of those to resist the Shutdown Suplex and in the following match the move was protected against the champion, Anzai seemed inferior to Jun in this regard, in addition to being dominated for much, if not most, of the match. The final minutes were great and Yuma using the Shutdown Suplex was a surprise, unpredictable and with good nearfalls, all the storytelling that goes from Anzai taking several blows to the head to his fighting spirit proving itself against the veteran and Ace. Kento's Lariats were excellent and both of their knees were exceptional. Great match with great finish. The selling of both was excellent and outstanding, Kento is always incredible and the best match of Yuma Anzai's career, although not perfect. The best AJPW match since Miyahara vs Nakajima. [4.5*] |

98 | 01.06.2024 | TheLegitBoss | 9.0 | Big match Kento Miyahara at it again, what a tremendous Triple Crown title bout between him and Anzai right here. Even better than their excellent match last year. For Miyahara, no surprise because he's one of the best wrestlers on this planet, but as for Anzai, I'm still shocked at how good he is for someone his age with so little experience. He wrestles like someone who's been used to these big main events for ten years when he doesn't even have two years' experience. It's amazing. Match of the year for AJPW of course, by far. |
