[1.0] "This crowd was into every match on this show up until this point and they across as an easy to please crowd, but even they noticed that these two pro-wrestlers didn't have good chemistry and struggled to get out of the second gear. At times DeReiss looked so visibly nervous that any first-time viewer wouldn't believe that his gimmick is all about owning the room and being cool as fuck, while Benjamin was going through the motions. They did a bunch different spots, but near-falls got very little reaction, so Benjamin shoved the ref after working DeReiss' knee in the corner for a while. Wouldn't be surprised if he called the finish on the fly because it came out of nowhere and the match was so boring."
[4.0] "This was a disappointing match that never got going for me until late, when Benjamin began showing some heel wrestling. The beginning was really dry as they wrestled too cleanly, that there was no heat between the two. Once they picked up the pace they couldn't get in sync, it looked like. On top of that the flat finish made this one of the worst matches of the tournament. **1/4"
[5.0] "Some real cohesion issues here and some quite clumsy moments. DeReiss is so over at Progress though and led the crowd in a really fun rendition of Freed from Desire as part of his entrance. Seemingly, Benjamin may have had an arrangement where he couldn't lose clean, and so the stilted finish came where he ends up forcing the ref to the ground and getting disqualified. He then hurled DeReiss over the top rope onto ring crew and staff, leading to the "injury" which would affect his semi final contest."
