[8.0] "[****1/4] Basically an even fight for the beginning section, with scuffles, grapples, and chops. ZSJ puts up a great fight trying to match WALTER in this David vs Goliath scenario, but anything ZSJ hits, WALTER either chops, slaps, or big boots him off. Lenny Leonard was right in saying this matchup was just "a very large man throwing another man." My first full ZSJ match I have fully watched and his selling is also great, with either chop him either looking like he got shot by a 12-guage or he puts himself in a coffin-like position. Both men get outside and chops galore keep happening, then WALTER throws ZSJ up on the ring apron and....chops him again! ZSJ apparently wrestled Darby Allin for the title the night before, so that's probably another reason he looked tired through this. Any ZSJ offense doesn't last long as WALTER either shrugs it off or fucks him up. Both men slap the shit out of each other like its PowerSlap and WALTER suplexes ZSJ after a near pin from ZSJ and a near tap out. ZSJ kicks out of a powerbomb at one, but WALTER hits another one for the win. A really good match, but it felt like it was a OTP type of match with chops being the main focus. Great selling from ZSJ and WALTER's cardio was still superhuman here."

[10.0] "An outstanding showcase of main event wrestling. I loved how hard ZSJ had to try just to get something against Walter. A great example of two of the best to ever lace up boots."

[8.0] "Walter/Gunther is always at his most compelling when opposite a detail-oriented underdog, and technical wizard ZSJ is one of the best at that--despite the fact he is the current promotion's champion. It is easy to write this off as Walter chopping and tossing Zach around for 20 minutes (as much as I like that), but ZSJ does a great job out maneuvering Walter and putting him in predicaments the big man maybe hadn't faced yet before, such as the fake sweep into a Boston crab. The only reason this loses points with me is that the last two minutes of this is a exact retread of spots at the beginning, and briefly lost me... before Walter brutalized ZSJ's chest as a counter to an attempted triangle choke. It's a great and entertaining hard hitting affair that made both wrestlers look fantastic, but it also runs out of gas at maybe two minutes too long of a run time."

[8.0] "A heap step down from their PWG classic in 2017, as the crowd was rather lukewarm to be frank, and the atmosphere wasn't there. But is it still great? Yes, because of course it is. It's WALTER and Sabre, you can't possibly expecting anything below ****. More goodies from this pairing. [****1/4]"

[8.0] "This was a rematch months in the making since their PWG masterpiece and many have said that this match wasn't as great as the previous bout, but since I'm not fully aware of the PWG match, I thought this was a fantastic battle of two hard-hitting savages in the current league of pro wrestling. The atmosphere might've been a bit compact & low-profile but that doesn't matter for these two as they dished out a huge platter of technical prowess and ground shattering offense. 4.25 out of 5 stars!"

[7.0] "One of the weaker matches these two have had against each other, but you all know what a 'Weak Match' between WALTER and Zack Sabre jr. is like, it's still pretty dope. Nice technical exchanges and brutality, but just couldn't feel the intensity in this one like their PWG match. But still it was pretty enjoyable and it's always good to see WALTER slapping and chopping people to death. ***1/2"

[8.0] "That match was awesome! The best moment, for me, is when Zack Sabre Jr tries to use the Japanese Leg Roll Clutch, then, WALTER puts him in the Gojira Clutch... But Zack reverses it! It wasn't good as their first match, but sure as hell is awesome. ****1/2"

[7.0] "Good underdog performance by Zack Sabre Jr. He took it too WALTER, trying to out smart him and changed courses when need. WALTER's chops were awesome and brutal, especially on ZSJ's small frame. It didn't hold up to the January rating of 4/75 but still an excellent match. ***1/2"

[9.0] "Not at the level of their pwg match but it was still great. Zack came in trying to avoid the chop and cut down the big man but it didnt work out too well for him. It being a non title match allowed WALTER to dominate ZSJ and it was fabulous, ****1/2"
Dragon Fighter wrote on 24.05.2018:
[9.0] "Great match but not as good as their PWG classic. WALTER did less chops than usual thanks to ZSJ's resilience. He used his unique submissions to prevent the big man. WALTER still managed to win. This lacked a bit intensity of their PWG and Progress matches and the EVOLVE crowd wasn't as hot as I expected which dragged the match down a little. Still worth a watch and one of the best EVOVLE matches this year so far."

[9.0] "I agree that this felt like a more subdued version of the PWG match that these two had a few weeks prior, but I think the callbacks to that match and the physicality was there; Zack selling WALTER chops by falling back onto his ass never gets old. I think the main negative here is that Zack isn't a shitheel in EVOLVE so the heat wasn't quite there. Still, WALTER seemingly cannot have a singles match below "pretty great" these days. **** to ****1/4"

[9.0] "It would be hard to live up to the amazing classic both men had in PWG a few months prior, but the awesome chemistry between these two just always flourishes. Zack isn't a heel in EVOLVE so he had to work a more straight man technical style with WALTER this time around. Also the crowd here could have been better. They did go a bit overkill with the slap and chop fights, but make no mistake as this match was crazy physical. I hope both men get to go at it again but with the title on the line next time, ****1/2."

[8.0] "Coming off their PWG classic a few months earlier, my expectations for this were pretty high. It didn't even come close to the levels of that said PWG match though, but it was still very, very good. Sorta felt like a "touring house showish" -version of that one. You really can't go wrong with the WALTER & ZSJ pairing. ***1/2"
