[4.0] "This had a little bit more proper work and variety early on than the usual House of Torture shtick, but at the end of the day it's still a SHO match so nothing really matters until the final barrage of chicanery. A little bit of shine for Douki in the hard-luck loser role."
[7.0] "If SHO nonsense has to happen, this is the way I would like to see it done. Some ECW chaos to start the match followed by some more traditional offense where SHO actually looks dangerous. Didn't have high expectations for this one, and it greatly exceeded them."
[6.0] "One of the better SHO matches throughout this whole tournament but thats saying a lot considering SHO has had some stinkers. This match was alright and had some stupidly fun moments but other than that it was fairly average match with really nothing much to say about it. 6/10"
[5.0] "I just wasn't into this match really. I didn't hate the House of Torture stuff, but I also didn't really care about it and it made an otherwise interesting match fairly boring to me. I like it when HoT shenanigans mix things up and don't rely as heavily on the standard tropes, and I just didn't feel that this match did that."

First of all SHO wrestled real wrestling and the shenigans weren't as important as the wrestling itself for the most. As someone who doesn't like HoT for the most I have to that they actually did a pretty good job being heels but also showing they can actually fight. ****"
[8.0] "Can't believe I'm saying this but this is the most fun I've ever had with House of Torture, and probably my new favourite DOUKI match as well. It's stupid for so long, and none of it is actually great wrestling but I just can't help it. Everything is either funny, or just straight up enthralling. SHO's hair dye leaving stains on the mat? Hilarious. Taichi getting his shit kicked in twice and never being able to help his factionmate? Beautiful. A really dumb closing stretch that leaves both men looking unbelievably strong because they kick out of everything? Couldn't believe my eyes. BOSJ is at its peak when it's great JH wrestling, but I had just as much fun with this."
