[8.0] "So nice to get a Kofi 4! Stellar performance I loved the vengeance aspects going after Gunthers knee right from the jump for what he did to Woods. Also just a smart babyface play to try to handicap the Goliath. Gunther gets his licks in though I thought the visual of the Boston Crab on top of rhe announce table was cool! He also sold Kofi's splashes really nicely. A terrific TV match and the best Kofi singles probably since the KofiMania era! ****"
[7.0] "Kofi comes with a vengeance, Gunther gains control, Kofi has some decent comebacks but is responsible for quite a few mishaps. Still a solid TV match, as always with Gunther. [ 74 ] *** 1/2"
[7.0] "[3.5*] I still have to rewatch this one because I watched it on the car on my way home, so I was not 100% concentrated. Even like that I found this one to be fantastic. Another incredible match for Gunther on the KOTR that only solidifies himself as the WWE WOTY once again, specially after this Ilja bad match, he has the advantage for now. Gunther and Kofi always deliver and this was no different. Great match that I will soon rewatch with more attention."
[9.0] "GUNTHER delivered once again. It's obvious that he's gonna win but not every match can be unpredictable. Simple storytelling with great match. Kofi now in phase of enhancing other talents but he still has it. The hot start also made sense after what GUNTHER did to Xavier Woods."
[7.0] "[3.75*] What an INCREDIBLE performance from Gunther, his attack was unstoppable and essential, it's one of his most dominant matches this year, the way he punished Kofi whether with his chops, submissions or moves was very good, I love his final Powerbomb sequence + Boston Crab, totally lethal. The match was really fun and Kofi was a safe and solid choice for Gunther's opponent here, he fulfilled his role very well."
[6.0] "This match was alright. I thought it was a bit overrated but overall still an okay match. The New Day hasn't been interesting in years and their forever feud with Imperium isn't helping things either. It slugged in the middle and got boring at times but the ending was well done and added to this tension that should had been in the match earlier. 6/10"
[7.0] "Good match. Kofi attacked Gunther before the bell and went after his knee. It was interesting to see Gunther be in a position of weakness to start things off, but he was able to hold off Kofi and began to work the back with big hits and submissions. With both guys selling injuries, the match gets a little slow in the middle before picking back up near the end. Kofi nearly got a countout win and Gunther just barely made it back to the ring. Really liked the finish with Gunther turning a powerbomb into a Boston crab for the quick tap. 7.5/10"
[5.0] "The only notable thing about this match was how at the beginning they made it seem like they hate eachother, but apparently all that rage over Woods injury seemed to not be enough for Kingston to refuse to tap-out. There was not anything really interesting about the match itself, they kept it simple and there wasnt any particular spot I found special. The result was what everyone expected."
[7.0] "Match as fine. We all knew what was going to happen. A thoroughly professional Raw tv match. Gunther as per usual carries on making the most out of the hat hes given."
[7.0] "I didn't think this was quite as good as the previous match between Shayna Baszler and IYO SKY, but it was close (AKA 3.75/5 or 7.5/10). Additionally, this wasn't quite as good as their previous match for the Intercontinental Title back in January, either. Despite that, sort of, negativity, this was another fun match for KOTR. I never expected Kingston to win, but he looked good here. Hopefully GUNTHER goes on to win the whole thing. I also really hope the Final is against Randy Orton, as the idea of that match continues to be super intriguing to me."
[7.0] "Another really good match. It starts off hot, with Kofi attacking Gunther before the match and going after his leg, just like Gunther did to Sheamus and Xavier Woods in previous weeks. Kofi gets the better of Gunther for quite a while, before Gunther counters a dive from Kofi by just slamming him into the apron. Kofi's back becomes Gunther's target for the rest of the match, brutalising it with backbreakers, submissions and powerbombs. Kofi makes a few short comebacks by going after Gunther's leg, but ultimately comes up short when Gunther catches him with a powerbomb and locks him in a Boston crab. This was just really good. Great selling and psychology from both guys, and a great sense of a struggle between the two as well. ***3/4"
[6.0] "This match has a continuation of the New Dayv. Imperium story her, particularly since Gunther put Xavier out of action not too long ago. Kofi attacked Gunther before the match, trying to injure the leg the same way Gunther hurt Xaiver, then Gunther started working GUnther's back, including a brilliant Crab on the announce table. I don't remember the last time, if ever I've seen Gunther put someone in a surfboard stretch. There's a weird pacing slowdown after that spot, though, and it does hurt the overall enjoyment of the match. Not either of these men's best performance, and I think it goes on a bit too long, but still a quite enjoyable bout with a reasonably predictable winner."
[7.0] "Even though New Day vs. Imperium is a feud that ran its course a while ago, Gunther and Kofi did a fine work making the match look as fresh as possible. Kofi started strong, trying to surprise The Ring General, targeting his knee. Once he got his grip back together, Gunther took matters into his own hands and showed his power and dominance over Kingston, brutalizing him and targeting his back. After an intense back-and-forth, Gunther made Kofi tap out like he did with Woods a week prior."
[8.0] "The best wrestler in WWE against one of the most underrated wrestlers in the company couldn't be bad. This match was incredible and simple, Kofi Kingston's attempt at revenge against GUNTHER for what he did to Xavier by attacking him before the match even started and hurting the Ring General's leg only to have his back also hurt by GUNTHER soon after. A simple battle of who could resist their pain the most, with great selling, I thought it was great every time Kingston did some dive and soon after fell in pain in his back, or how GUNTHER was stubborn in applying moves to Kofi using his knee bruised. I even thought that we would actually have a victory for Kofi Kingston after Trouble in the Paradise on the outside. Another submission victory for GUNTHER, practically the same submission he used against Sheamus, but forcing another part of Kofi Kingston's body other than his leg but his back until Kofi failed to avenge his friend and tapped out. Very recommended match. [4.25*]"
"These was the best match of the evening. Ghunter is indestructible. I hope he'll be King of the Ring. Also good performance from Kofi. The story behind this match was intense and increased my interest."
[7.0] "Match continued Gunthers new focus on legs and backs of his opponents, nice common thread. Both have good chemistry, starting right off the beat with Kofi not wanting to waste any seconds to avenge Woods."
[6.0] "Seriously, either I have very high standards or I don't know if I was watching the same show. This had the exact same structure as the opener, even it had an attack angle before the bell rang. A lifeless and boring wrestler, this time being Kofi, being carried by the great effort but not the best performance that can be delivered by a much better wrestler, this time being Gunther. If there's a thing that Gunther does incredibly well is keep the coherence in the wrestling match. He was attacked by Kofi, causing a damage in the leg that Kofi worked on during much part of the match, and that was the key factor in Gunther not being able to dominate the match as much as he could've done, yet it wasn't enough to defeat him. That brings some life and interest into the match, some deepness to a match with an obvious result and not great expectatives, but Kofi is going on autopilot mode so hard and he underdelivers too much. (***)"
[9.0] "Gunther putting on incredible TV matches has just become the norm at this point. Anyone else, and we'd be talking about a career defining match. For Gunther, this was just another really good Raw. Kingston is still able to pull out great matches, too, and he proved it here."
[7.0] "I think this worked better than the Xavier Woods match a few weeks ago and it's in a similar territory as the Sheamus match last week. Kofi has good comebacks, like Sheamus did, Gunther works limbs and wins convincingly. Again, it's the same "have you seen one Gunther match, have you seen most" but that doesn't make them bad. This one had me engaged, definitely the best match of the night."
[9.0] "Gunther always delivers in lengthy Raw matches, and Kofi Kingston can definitely hold his own too. It kicked off intense with Kofi taking the fight to Gunther before the bell, but Kofi fought back, making it an even match. The back-and-forth was intense, with some slick counters, especially from Kofi, who's a master at turning the tables and pulling off jaw-dropping moves."
[8.0] "A very good TV match with Kofi playing a great fighting underdog in there, bringing brutality from the start to Gunther and doing a very good job to sell Gunther's offenses on his back ... and Gunther being very good at selling Kofi's offenses. That is what a dominant champion should be ... 8/10."
[7.0] "If Gunther loses next week, it has to happen by a DQ or some other shenanigans. Nice effort from these two performers. Kofi unleashed his aggressive side that is a rare thing to see and Gunther just did what he does best. I wish Gunther had sold his leg more frequently though. You can't recover in seconds after having a walopped leg"
[8.0] "Gunther and Kofi always have some fantastic matches together, they had one earlier in the year for the Intercontinental title and I'd say this one was maybe even better. I loved the way Kofi came prepared, having already lost twice to Gunther and knowing he had no chance he put all the odds on his side by attacking him before the match and targeting his leg. Gunther quickly regained control but all Kofi's comebacks were excellent, and his desperate attempt to win by count-out was a good idea. Gunther is just incredible, another top match."
