3 | 10.08.2025 | Keithnelson18 | 0.0 | Terrible, just a terrible fucking match. Jericho at that point was almost destroying his career with so many bad matches. The crowd was chanting "Go Home Jericho" or "Please Retire." That's how bad it's gotten to. I love Jericho, but man, this was sad. Hook isn't that good either, haven't seen a decent match from him. This guy was doing mostly suplex's. |

7 | 16.07.2025 | jsborts | 2.0 | Hooks selling is pretty bad. this miss off the apron jump was pretty abysmal. That german on the outside was rough in a good way. Hook has a tough time staying on his feet sometimes, I think he's just too fired up. The suplex through the table was nice but looked like Jericho kinda had to do it himself. You can see Jericho calling a lot of spots in the ring. It is genuinely cool to see him to a top rope hurricanrana at his age. The singaporian cane when Jericho has the trash can on is kinda cute, gets the audience interested, but its pretty silly. Hook takes the code breaker like absolute shit. Hook puts a sleeper hold on jericho and he puts him through the table to get out of it, but the table is so low on the turnbuckle, and then Jericho cheats on a pin but its supposedly allowed, so it just doesn't work. Then a terrible Judas Effect countered into an even worse knee bar. Hook terribly counters the Walls of Jericho into a pin. Low blow by Jericho which is legal. Then Jericho hits a judas effect, but Hook kicks out. he hits another one and Hook kicks out again. Jericho gets his bat, Hook gets hit in the face with it, and the match ends. At the end of the day, putting in a guy who is pretty green against a veteran that everyone is just completely over seeing isn't exactly a great recipe for success. this is the kind of program that kills careers, since no one wants to see the comeuppance. most exciting thing was Taz ALMOST getting involved. Drizzling shits |

The crowd begging Jericho to go home and retire was nice to hear though instead of just lazy boos. And it was soooo fuckingggg longggggg! *1/2 |

33 | 16.01.2025 | samirandres1428 | 8.0 | I actually really liked this match. Of course Jericho is not in his prime, for that reason this type of unsanctioned matches are the best for him. Take for example the Owens Vs Austin bout at Wrestlemania some years ago, it was great, and mainly carried by Kevin, but making that the rattlesnake could look awesome. The same here, even with Jericho winning, he made that Hook could look even stronger and as a credible challenger to other mid card titles. In fact, this has been one of the Hook matches that I have ever seen. Really nice. [****] |

39 | 23.12.2024 | celticinvader | 2.0 | Another Jericho match that the crowd turned on, but the work was also terrible. A stupid brawl with ridiculous spots that went way too long. Jericho has no need to be wrestling in 2024, the crowd clearly hate him after everything, and it's not doing anything to get Hook over. |

45 | 10.11.2024 | felixshanewestern | 6.0 | Jericho has go home heat at the minute, so the crowd were not into this one, but Jericho took some big bumps and made Hook look pretty strong in defeat. It's a pretty average plunder match soured by the negative reception that Jericho receives. The match also went too long, considering there were a few long matches on this show, a few minutes shaved off of here wouldn't have been unwelcome. |
46 | 02.11.2024 | Will Morris | 4.0 | actually a pretty decent match, annoyingly, given jericho standards. but no one wants this, he is getting full go away heat. however there were some fun spots in this match, i just hope hook can escape away from jericho. *1/2 |
47 | 29.10.2024 | brooksavage2004 | 1.0 | I just hate this match. All the action and spots throughout the match are just whatever, the psychology between both men was just awful and it made Hook looked very weak and Jericho more hated and unpopular with the crowd turning on him hard with go away heat. |
48 | 28.10.2024 | NoaHS106 | 4.0 | |
49 | 27.10.2024 | The Elevated 1 | 4.0 | **3/4 I don't want to dock any points because of the result, but why? Jericho was booed so hard, just call an audible. When the match graphic popped up, when he walked out, and even when the bell rang, boos filled the arena. "Fozzy sucks", "go home Jericho, go home", and "please retire" chants were heard throughout the match. I almost feel bad for him. But, it must continue I guess. but the match itself was solid at best. A nice exploder thorugh a table and trash can lid hits. HOOK kicked out of two Judas Effects and lost to a bat shot to the head. Don't know why the prior nearfalls were necessary. Personally, I don't like it when a wrestler kicks out of finishers just to eventually lose. Unnecessary match on this long pay-per-view and terrible result. |
50 | 24.10.2024 | SpecialB | 5.0 | I don't know why I picked this match to review, but I did. Don't get me wrong, I was always a Chris Jericho fan, but unfortunately, the fans are getting sick of Jericho. The fans chanting "Please Retire" and "Fozzy Sucks" definitely caused a huge distraction in this match. Typical hardcore match that seen Jericho and Hook brawl on the floor, use the steel steps, announcers table, a garbage can lid, garbage can, a kendo stick and at one point Hook lands a flying T-Bone Suplex off the apron, putting Jericho through a table. Hook shows heart by kicking out of two Judas Effects but falls to Jericho in the end after Jericho busts Hook in the face with a baseball bat and leaves the new FTW Champion. |

59 | 18.09.2024 | FlokinMeltzer67 | 6.0 | Yeah this was one of the more bad matches on the card. And this match wasn't even that bad. Honestly this was good. There was crazy spots that I liked and I enjoyed this. Other FTW matches are better than this one but this was a good showing. Maybe Chris Jericho winning wasn't the smartest choice because Hook was an awesome champion. But that doesn't take away from what happened in this match. I was stuck on a 8.0 rating or a 6.0. But ultimately I decided on a 6.0 because it makes sense instead of over rating it. |
60 | 16.09.2024 | Icekommander | 4.0 | I don't think this match was awful, but it wasn't good. Hook straight up missed several jumping moves -- commentary played off the first one as a 'glancing blow' but it happened again later. Jericho wasn't much better with the Redrum sell looking super sloppy, no reason he couldn't have grabbed the ropes. Production straight missed the low blow. And from a storytelling perspective the match couldn't decide if was playing "Older wrestler outsmarts younger wrestler" straight or if it wanted to invert it. None of these were huge issues individually but they added up to a subpar match. |

64 | 06.09.2024 | FelipeTalksGraps | 4.0 | [2.0*] As I said to a friend, this was a bootleg Mox vs Yuta rip-off with 100% less aura and vibes, with the execution also being incomparably worse. However, it was not a DUD as some people are saying and was not the worst match of the night. 2024 Y2J sucks and he needs to be cut from PPVs and TV, and I felt very frustrated that Mox/Claudio/Takeshita/Fletcher/Hobbs missed the event just because of this douchebag demanding a spot on the card, but the match actually had some decent moments and things that made me laugh. If you try to not think that this is Chris Jericho, the ending is actually pretty dope and brutal too. |
65 | 05.09.2024 | danzitorock | 5.0 | Not a good, but also not a bad match... I understand that we hate Chris Jericho right now, and he needs to stay out of television ASAP, but the match wasn't that bad as some people here are saying, it was basically a failed try to repeat Moxley vs Yuta, with an established veteran dominating the match and failing to beat the rookie, but this time the rookie won, HOOK kicked out some finishers and won the match. It felt exaggerated sometimes, but the psychology was good - {**1/2} |

68 | 27.08.2024 | Connor26 | 7.0 | I thought that this was a fun attitude era type brawl with gun spots which out preformed the quality of Jericho on tv. I felt that Hook also had a strong performance as hook tends to shine in these wild brawls and hardcore showings. Overall I felt that they over delivered from what was on tv |

77 | 05.08.2024 | AndyUK | 7.0 | This was a fun hardcore brawl and Hook looked great kicking out of the Judas Effect twice. I'm guessing the lower ratings are down to the result. I know Jericho isn't the flavour of the month but Hook chasing the title isn't a bad story to tell, and I expect he'll get it back. |
78 | 05.08.2024 | somerandommark | 2.0 | This match has good spots, but the emotional crux of Jericho feeling bad about winning just didn't work for me. 1- it makes Hook look weak, when he's been booked to be a killer against younger, quicker and stronger opposition. That Jericho had room to"feel bad" and still win... yeah.... 2- it requires me to take Jericho as an earnest, sincere character, which he hasn't been for some years. Am I supposed to feel pathos for him here? NO sympathy was generated. It's very rare that a story / character detracts from a decent match this greatly for me.... but yeah, this didn't land at all. There's a serious disconnect between AEW's booking of Jericho and the fans' feelings towards Jericho, a bigger disconnect than I even felt existed for the Codyverse. NOT GOOD |
