[9.0] "3 matches, a trilogy of wrestling and they never disappointed in any of the performances for all the times we got between them. Both respected hall of famers and 2 of the best to ever do it, twice under the WWE bubble and once in WCW, crazy times man."
[6.0] "This is a fascinating historical pairing and naturally, their first match is exactly that: fascinating. Mechanically, it's rock solid, with textbook work on display throughout. It never catches fire though, or even finds a genuine rhythm for that matter. That'd become a trend with these two, but it's particularly evident on this occasion, with Hart lacking the stature to even slightly steer the ship. Instead, Flair plugs Hart into his familiar outline, presenting Bret in distinctly un-Bret ways. It's a strange watch as while jarring, this never falls apart or even threatens to do so, staying afloat on skill alone. In fact, they have so much time that it can't help but veer towards something good, all while remaining unusually cold. Strange match, very much less than the sum of its parts. **3/4"
[8.0] "What a fun match that was such a brilliant Thing from the two of the best I loved everything really theres a lot of moments that I loved in this match."
[6.0] "It's a good match but both are capable of so much more. Some sequences felt off and I also think that this would've been a little better if Bret had more time to make his comeback. If felt like they just rushed things towards the end. [***]"
[6.0] "I knew Bret beat Flair for the World Title but never knew they had a match for the Intercontinental Championship. The match itself was good but when you weight it against the expectations with having two of the best in the business at the time, it was extremely disappointing. Flair himself was missing something. Not sure if he was still getting his footing and trying to adjust to the differences wrestling for WWF but he seemed lacking the same fire and intensity he had during his NWA/WCW run. All that said, the match was good. Bret tried several times to lock in the sharpshooter but Mr. Perfect kept getting involved. Bret sent Flair over the top to the floor. As they battled on the floor, both attempted to get back in the ring. Perfect pulled Bret off the apron when the ref wasnt looking giving Flair the countout victory. ***1/4 stars."
