The incredible white meat babyface kota ibushi vs cody rhodes who at this time legit may have been the best heel in the industry. Thats whats so crazy about cody he is one of very few people in the history of wrestling can be both a generational babyface and a generational heel. Theres some spots in this that are incredible. The cross roads to the outside was a freaking awesome spot. Ibushi being tricked by cody and brandi into thinking he hurt her was great. I feel like this is so underrated and never gets any love this was awesome. 4.25 stars. |

We started from point A and went to point B, Cody took advantage of the extra man and hit Ibushi in the neck with that chair. He wanted to win by count-out with the Cross Rhodes executed from the apron, which Ibushi brilliantly sold. Even though he didn't manage to win the match this way, Ibushi entering when the referee's count was at 19, he weakened Ibushi enough that another Cross Rhodes could have won him the match. This is where Ibushi came back and executed some of his signature moves to win the match. |

He also hit a Cross Rhodes off the apron, which was pretty cool. Ibushi shows some great selling throughout and plays the role of the underdog really well. Overall, a good match, although nowhere near the best of the night. |

Kota's selling of the neck injury was basically nonexistent, but at least his comeback was amazing. Their back and forth at the end was good, and Cody was able to keep up with the pace that Ibushi wrestles at.**** |

A competitive sprint with a lot of intensity and when I talk about pairing my point is especially that the heat of Cody could only work against a babyface as incredible & perfect as Ibushi, it was totally the case. And being the great performers that they are they absolutely killed it in the ring on top of that, the beginning was very cool with a solid heel-work from Cody and all of Ibushi's comebacks were really epic. I think they were capable of doing even better in a bigger context but for something that comes so early in the card and had no title on the line, it couldn't have been better. |

The cross rhodes to the outside is ridiculous, only Ibushi would take that, it looks like it kills him. Cody trying to do the Ibushi rana is silly, but fits with his worst man alive gimmick. The lawn dart was awesome, miss that spot. Cody's rainmaker is bad, the kami-goye isn't great, Ibushi's phoenix splash is so incredible. Better than it had any right to be, 3.75 stars |
