[8.0] "Great story here young bucks calling them young boys and roppongi3k showing in defeat they arent young boys, Bucks also tie Rocky's 7x record vs his team, Yoh has a great rope counter"

[8.0] "Really great match with some brilliant storytelling. YOH and Matt got their backs hurt early on in the match and both teams had to switch up their styles to accommodate. Loads of intelligent spots from the Bucks as well as their classic flippy shit offence being executed by Nick for the most part. Selling was terrific, contrary what people think about when you mention a Jr. Bucks match. 4.25"

[9.0] "This was a high tier Bucks match. This told an AMAZING story with YOH hurting his back early on and the Bucks waste no time working over it. They were vicious to YOH as they suplexed him onto the apron and hit their signature fantastic double team offense. The Bucks were just wildly entertaining heels here and the ramp stuff with Rocky was great. Matt hurts his back too eventually so R3K target that in return. Both YOH and Matt sell tremendously here and there were many great sequences involving those injures and how both teams would target them. I loved the one sequence where Nick and SHO kick their partners' injured backs in the middle of the ring. Awesome match, brilliant offense, amazing story and psychology. Highly underrated. ****1/4"

I also liked that the submission moves used by Sho and Yoh were Single Leg Boston Crab, the ones you learn as a young lion. Overall, Roppongi 3K didn't look bad at all, it was a situation where both teams came out well."

[9.0] "The Young Bucks go into the match not respecting SHO and YOH and calling them young boys. I really like the way Matt acts towards them and talked about how they used to put their bags on the bus. There are lots of good sequences and counters. Roppongi 3k have a good showing and get good offense on the Bucks. An example being a double tope con hilo. YOH hurt his back after the dive and that changed momentum to the Bucks. Nick hit a great bridging German suplex on the apron to YOH right after. The Bucks are great heels in the match and go after Romero as well and even powerbombed him on the ramp. YOH's back is a big focus of attack for the Bucks. Matt's back also becomes a focus in the match after he hurts it. I think both YOH and Matt sell their backs very well throughout the match. I really liked the callback to the finish of last year's match. I really liked the spot when both Nick and SHO both took turns kicking YOH and Matt respectively. YOH's back was too much and he finally tapped to a sharpshooter by Nick. Both teams were great and put on an awesome match."

Their performances stood out, and they were one of the big positives on the night for me. I enjoyed their offense, which was complimented nicely by some solid selling by the Bucks."

[7.0] "Roppongi 3K (c) vs Young Bucks IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championships - This match was quite an interesting match as it was not the ordinary Young Bucks match with all your common flips. This had Matt & YOH selling back injuries(quite nicely might I add) with the whole story being callbacks to WK11 last year where Beretta's back was injured. The closing stretch was pretty nice and I liked where YOH tried using his John Woo like superkick but couldn't do it due to the bad back which allowed the Bucks to capitalise. [***1/2]"

[8.0] "This is a great match that really exceeded the kind of matches the junior tag division is known for. The two teams got the campy junior stuff out of the way early and went straight into some hardway storytelling between Matt and Sho's backs. The storyline involving the injured backs really allowed Nick and Yo to shine on such a big stage. Yo really walked away from this match looking great, leaves me craving more from the promising young man. The finish left me surprised to see TYB walk out victors again but gives us the opportunity for a great rematch in the future. [****]"

[7.0] "This is a good match, but not a great one in my eyes. The Bucks were fairly restrained, which all in all is a good thing, but I think they maybe took it to a place where I was waiting for something more exciting to happen. We still got plenty of cutesy spots, a lot of mirrored attacks and even stevens wrestling, which isn't my favorite. Some good stuff but I've seen better from the Jr tag division."

Still, pro wrestling at its best is believable and realistic (at least to me) and I just can't get behind some of the silly spots in this one."

From Matt trying to do moves with a messed up back and having to tag out and then Nick trying to tag him back in, to 3k using the same trick to try and end the match that roppongi vice did make this match excellent ****1/4"

[7.0] "Really good opener, I thought the two-way back work was done well and although there weren't as many big spots that you'd usually find in a Young Bucks match, what they did was did well with the battling sharpshooters and a top rope Tope Suicida. The callback to RPG Vice vs. Bucks from last year was nice and having Rocky out there added a bit more, I thought. A lot more psychological than usual from the Bucks, I liked it a lot. (***3/4)"

[8.0] "Great, fast paced opener, as you would expect from these guys. The Bucks work YOH's back, but soon Matt takes a nasty spill to the outside. The story thus becomes, both guys wrestling with hurt backs. Matt really steals the show in my opinion, as his selling is consistently on point. Lots of crisp sequences, interesting spots, like the "kick your partner" exchange, and a nice finish. A good, fun opener. ****"

[8.0] "SHO & YOH (c) -vs- Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson ? (IWGP Junior Tag Title) [*** 3/4] This did have the big spots, but it was more the multi-back injuries which became the story in this match with seemingly everyone being close to crippled, including Rocky Romero! Didn? t expect there to be such a story going on in a Young Bucks match, but there we are!"

[6.0] "The greatest annual event of the year opens properly with the Jr Heavyweight titles on the line. R3K are coming in with a staggering amount of momentum and the Young Bucks are looking to shut them down. The match was a little different from a typical Young Bucks outing, focusing more on psychology then a million different spots and comedy (though it had its share of big spots and humor). There was a lot of back work in this one, with both Yoh and Matt having 'injured' backs in this one. They both sold exceptionally well. Early on Romero takes a powerbomb himself on the ramp and is essentially muted for the remainder of the bout. I'm surprised they went with the Bucks to win here, but its fairly obvious this is on thy the first of many encounters between the two. *** 3/4"

[9.0] "Excellent opener. Great storytelling here. Bucks did good job targeting YOH's back while the champs also targeted Matt's back, too. Both's selling were great. I love how nick kicked YOH's back while SHO kicked matt's back. Another nice thing was the callback from last year's match when they repeated its finish. The finish was great, too when both bucks continued to target YOH's back by doing sharpshooter and separated SHO from YOH. Bucks again proved that they can tell stories and their matches have psychology."

Really loved the story they told here with Matt and YOH taking gross bumps on their back thus being the point of the match as to who would give up first. There was also quite a few callbacks to RPG Vice vs Bucks matches which was cool to see. Really great finish with the Bucks Dome experience being the edge to give them the win, ****1/4."

Tremendous selling from YOH and Matt, very well thought encounter and probably the best match ever contested for Jr. Heavyweight tag titles in the Tokyo Dome history. It left me with hope I can see this face of YB outside New Japan (****¼)."

Excellent storytelling (but the Bucks have no psychology! ). For real tho, if you still say the Bucks can't tell stories or sell, you're a joke. This was the match RPG3K needed to show how great they could be ****"

[8.0] "A match that I came into expecting a spotfest but was pleasantly surprised at what we got, which was a great mirrored story of each team racing to destroy the others backs. YOH was the clear MVP of this match for me, doing a beautiful job of selling the back injury and doing a big part in turning this match into an engaging story as opposed to a pointlessly wild opener. ****"

On R3k Some times I think there matches hit a dull point this did not happen either. It was a great matches with an awesome story and moments."

[9.0] "Goddamn this was great. Best Dome Jr. Heavyweight Tag Match that I can remember. AWESOME storytelling w/ YOH hurting his back early on - that became the focus of The Bucks' attack on him, and my goodness, he sold AMAZINGLY. Such a great performance from the man. Matt also hurt his back eventually, and SHO & YOH started to target that as well. Awesome. The hurt back of YOH vs. The hurt back of Matt. The sequence where Nick & SHO are in the middle of the ring, looking at each other while YOH & Matt are on their knees, selling - & then Nick & SHO start just kicking them to their injured backs was really great & solidified this, already a really good match, as a GREAT match in my eyes. ****"
