[9.0] "This was an excellent match. Out of the 4 GHC Heavyweight Championship matches that Eddie Edwards was a part of, this was his best. It's not easy to outshine Naomichi Marufuji when he had a match with Eddie a couple of months prior, but Kenou managed to do it. This was all action, with Eddie and Kenou laying in their shots on each other. Kenou got the big win after a couple of well place kicks to the head and 2 double foot stomps from the top rope. That last double foot stomp looked brutal, so when he won it looked pretty believable. This was a great match, and really anyone should go out of their way to watch not only this match but a good amount of Eddie's big matches in NOAH. ****1/2"

He's good, but he's not championship level. I thought this was a great match, but it needed to be more than that for me."

[9.0] "May be top 3 NOAH matches this year. Eddie and kenou just beat the shit out of each other in over 20 minutes with kicks, chops, suplexes. Kenou's kicks definitely looked great, so were eddie's chops. The dragon suplex from the top rope was so brutal. After back and forth action with hard hitting strong style, kenou finally hit the double foot stomp for the title change here. Great mach with hot korakuen hall atmosphere."

[9.0] "An awesome GHC match to end a rather disappointing year for NOAH. Nakajima tried really hard as the top guy, but in the end he just couldn't make that needed fan connection. Then Edwards became champion which then led to this title match between him and the hot and rising Kenou. It should also be mentioned that NOAH was able to gain a whopping 1600 fans to this show which is amazing. This match was pretty brutal in typical NOAH fashion with Kings Road style head drops galore and many stiff strikes from each guy. I would even go as far as to say this was Eddie's best match in his NOAH run. After Kenou's big win to finally become champion, his first challenger appears in the form of returning Kaito Kiyomiya. 2018 looks bright for NOAH, ****1/2."
