[7.0] "This is exactly the kind of mess you'd expect from a 12-Man ladder match. It has its spots, which is fun, but R-Truth steals the show for me. Him asking for the tag, getting his hot tag, doing the Cena special and going for the pin, is my favorite moment from the match. A-Town Down Under winning the SmackDown titles is a bummer, but R-Truth (and The Miz) getting a WrestleMania moment is awesome! ***1/2+"
[7.0] "Peak sports entertainment. Which is either a compliment or an insult, depending on your perspective. It was shallow as a teaspoon, but had crowd-pleasing high spots. Can't hate it too much."
[8.0] "You see this match on the card and you just know its gonna be fun. Great tag teams, lots of highlights. Great feel good moment with R-Truth getting his win on the big stage. It was also a great way to split the titles up and enforcing the brand split more, even though they would later just ignore it."
[9.0] "****1/2 (09/10) My personal expectations were low with the six pack challenge. It seemed like too many teams, but given the time they were given and what they ended up delivering, with everyone getting a genuine chance to shine, the challenge absolutely exceeded my expectations. What it also inspired in me was a renewed interest in the tag team division. And what became of the belts after Mania and how the division is slowly progressing among worldwide talent, you could even look at this match as a new beginning for WWE tag team history. A few hiccups here and there, but all in all a great follow to the amazing opener!"
[7.0] "I don't know when I will get sick of R Truth's gimmick of being stupid, but I am not there yet. I always think they have done him using Cena's moves for the last time and enjoy seeing it happen over and over."
[5.0] "TWELVE people is way too many for a match like this. Theory and Waller won the Smackdown titles, then Waller got put through a ladder to the fakest post-production This Is Awesome chants you'll ever hear. More fake This Is Awesome chants came after a Ciampa Air Raid Crash off the ladder. R-Truth won the Raw titles, and The Miz won a WrestleMania match in 2024. Way too long, way too much happening. **1/2"
[8.0] "They booked themselves to a corner when this match was announced and that is exactly how I felt watching this live. But upon revisiting this, it is much better. From the flow of match itself right to the end with the winners, all made sense. And can't believe I'm saying this but they should do more of this, at least a couple more times. Simply because, I feel as though there are several more ways that this match can be produced. Back to the match, loved the high spots. Be it the DDT on the table, JD getting slammed to both tables, Bate eating a spot that high and of course Waller with the ladder bump, which by the way was well produced. From the heels winning the titles to going for the other titles to Waller body breaking in half with the title on his shoulders, super good visual. Even the comedy spot Miz, Truth and DIY, all worked. Speaking of Truth, if the man doesn't win the world title before he retires, HHH era of WWE would not be complete. Just Saying. p.s. couple of the puns from the commentary was funny"
[6.0] "I didnt really like this match when I first watched it and Priest completely fumbles the last few moments, but on rewatch it flows way better. The spots hit harder and the DDT through the table to Dunne was absolutely despicable."
[9.0] "My personal favorite match of WrestleMania weekend. This was a fun chaotic ladder match. I feel like my only negative was who won the titles, Theory/Waller were alright winners, but Awesome Truth was just random and not wanted."

[9.0] "Started chaotic but quickly shifted into one of my all-time favourite mania spot fests. As soon as Dunne and Bate started getting going, it was just moment after moment with no real misses for me, mostly due to New Catch Republic and DIY."
[8.0] "My match of Night One. A spot fest, as most ladder matches are but was fun and fast. Each team playing its part and working well. The belts being split again added something more to this."
[7.0] "This ladder match was good, it helped the tag division split the titles. Most of the good spots involved New Catch Republic and DIY. R-truth got his comedy moments. I wasn't a big fan of the booking. Overall this was a fun ladder match, nothing too special here."
[10.0] "This match was the best match at WrestleMania 40 in my opinion and I didn't like any of the matches at WrestleMania as much as this one. Everything in this match was great and the results were not bad and those who won were able to get what they deserved and it was completely logical."

[8.0] "The match was very interesting on spots, as if HHH just said show a cool match from the indie scene and the guys did it, surprised the victory of Theory and Waller and very pleased with the victory of Truth and Miz, in general advise to watch, a really good match with ladders"
[6.0] "A very good match in which most teams and athletes shone. While the market was nice, I regret that there weren't so many unforgettable moments worthy of a WrestleMania, especially as the two winning teams were frankly the ones I least expected and liked."

Of course it wasn't the most bright or refined match of all time, but it was a good fun, the most fun match of the night for sure, a lot of great spots, I was astonished. The decision to split the titles here was the right one, and even though I didn't necessarily liked the winners, I have to admit that Awesome Truth winning was a cool moment and the crowd reacted a lot, I just hope they don't hold the titles for too long - {***3/4}"
"Be honest, do you remember anything that happened in this match other than the obvious finish not happening, that one table bump from Gargano and Dunne, and the pair of shameful results? I thought not. A token effort to highlight a number of undercard guys that actually only served to highlight the inconsequentiality of this tag division"
[8.0] "This might have been the better match to open the show between it and the Women's World Title Match, but you can't go wrong with either. Anyways, I'm glad everyone got, at least, a moment to shine here. There were some really crazy moments here, one of my favorites being Ciampa hitting an Avalanche Air Raid Siren off the ladder, but I do also feel like this could have been a little crazier. Regardless, this was a really cool match and I'm glad they split the Tag Team Titles finally."
[9.0] "A really amazing and entertaining ladder match with all teams involved and having having the tag titles finally be split apart from each other was the perfect choice considering just how bloated the tag division has become."
[8.0] "Insanely fun from start to finish. Personally would've picked out different teams to win it - DIY instead of Awesome Truth, and New Catch Republic instead of A-Town Down Under, but the match was fun enough to push past those complaints."

[6.0] "Really fun chaotic ladder match. Loved the creative way to separate the tag titles. Match was messy and hard to follow at times but everyone tried their best. The result of the match is questionable but the tag titles had to be split so I didn't really care. Good match overall."
[10.0] "While there are some sloppiness (including during the entrance), this match is simply awesome. So many spots which of course going to happen during multi man ladder match. This is the way to give as many people on the card but still maintaining the quality. R-Truth's comedy also very entertaining and the way he made hot tag during ladder match simply to funny to not laugh."
[5.0] "Fine ladder match with some cool spots, and I guess this was a creative way to split the titles, but overall this match was just extremely confusing. It was not explained well at all what was going on until one team won one of the belts and then everyone began to realize what was going on. Miz-Truth winning tag gold for the first time was cool."

I feel like the wrong winners were chosen, hoewever it was nice to see Truth have his wrestlemania moment as I am quite fond of his character and I was relieved the titles came off the judgement day but either way. [3.0] "3 This was horrible. Off course I knew this was going to be a spotfest but it wasn't even good at that. The money in the bank ladder matches were getting too crowded with 7 or 8 people but here there's 12 guys so there was no way this was going to make any sense. The aftermath is made even worse with splitting the titles again. WWE barely has enough (over) tag teams for one division, let alone two of them. The only positive I can think of is that for a ladder match this seemed relatively safe. I've become increasingly weary of ladder matches as they are one of the most dangerous matches around and it's just not worth it. You can't top the high spots of ladder matches in the past anyway. It didn't look like anyone got hurt here."
[7.0] "This was a fun match. I also loved that they seperated the tag Championships in such a great way. This was good wrestling entertainment : chaotic, funny, plenty of action and a great crowd to boot as well. Truth was the Definitive MVP. ***3/4"
[8.0] "Thats was such an entertaining and chaotic matchup as you can expect for a ladder match! Every team played their part with spots off ladders and tables crashing everywhere! Right winners with Theory & Waller and mostly Miz & Truth. Finally R-Truth got his WrestleMania moment taking down The Judgment Day, the storytelling was perfect here!"

[8.0] "With all due respect to Rhea and Becky, this would have been a great opener for the evening. Given the large number of participants, I feared it would result in something overly confusing and, ultimately, not that fun. Instead it was an excellent "orderly chaos" (let me use the term), with lots of fun spots and a pace that never got boring. An excellent brain-dead popcorn match that Wrestlemania has been missing for too long (last edition's 4-way tag team match was very enjoyable, but without the ladders it's not the same...)"
[7.0] "This was a fun match. The teams scrambling on the outside was nice and there was some pretty cool spots. Grayson and Theory won the Smackdown tag belts and Awesome Truth won the Raw Tag Belts."
[8.0] "Big dumb fun that was very messy at the beginning and end, and held together by two big stories: Judgement Day vs. Truth, and A-Town Down vs. The Audience. There's way too many people in this match, in a match type that is already difficult to make work and harder still to follow. All of the big spots to take out each team went over really well, but there were more than a few narrowly avoided disasters: Daimen and Miz trying to do a chokeslam spot on a ladder that was badly damaged, and R-Truth nearly falling off the ladder during his attempt to claim the gold. The booking was great, and I think this'll forever be "the match that R-Truth Hot Tagged in during a ladder match" more than anything else"
[5.0] "Some of this big bumps in this were pretty good, but I think the more a ladder match relies on slowly climbing and reaching (and pausing) for drama, the worse it is. That's made all the more worse when you have so many people involved, which also requires more than your usual selling outside the ring. Action-wise, it's not boring, but ladder match tropes tend to frustrate me more than excite me (outside of the bumps). It's one thing if the frustration creates a great sense of relief when the payoff comes, but the typical ladder match formula of stopping and reaching and being unable to grab the belts (especially when it looks so easy at the end) looks too fake even by wrestling standards. It's something wrestling as a whole needs to re-evaluate."
[8.0] "Well, Austin's third title in WWE. It's amazing how this kid catches his moments at Wrestlemania. At Wrestlemania 38 he of course lost to Pat McAfee, but most importantly, he proved himself after good selling Steve Austin's stunner, so Steve himself praised Theory in an interview. At Wrestlemania 39 he retains U.S title against Cena and now he won SmackDown tag titles with Grayson Waller. Also I'm so happy for R-truth, it's first his Wrestlemania big moment. I hope Awesome Truth will hold the titles for at least three months and will defends gold at least on once PPV."
[7.0] "That was a good ladder match. Had some great spots like the DDT through a table which we rarely see. The double title thing is a critique for me, it was a big downer in the middle of the match and made no sense to me. If the heels only need 7 minutes to win the first belts, then why do all other ladder matches take way longer than that to get to the first (and only) set of belts? It's a similar plot hole like early falls in two out of three falls matches. If you do two belts, do one at 13ish mins and the other one a few minutes later, but having a super early winner felt wrong. Still, fun match, the hot tag stuff with R-Truth was cute. ***1/2"
[8.0] "Surely I wasn't the only one to think when Waller and Theory won the SmackDown belts that something had gone wrong? There was this odd silence, like nobody was sure what to do. My slander of Tyler Bate has come to an end as he finally showed me that he's a pretty great worker when you give him a chance. R-Truth getting his moment, the Miz hot tag, the broken ladder Priest refused to acknowledge, the insane bumps from the ladders and Ciampa's dive to ringside... this match was good, and I think it had the right ending. Funnily enough I actually forgot New Day were in this one until I watched it again for this review, and I don't know why since Kingston and Woods were both good!"

[8.0] "Very fun ladder match. Lots of bodies in there which made it clustered at times but this was everything it needed to be. Split the titles and showcase some underutilized guys at WrestleMania. Lots of crazy spots. Moonsaults off ladders, a powerbomb through a ladder, a tornado DDT off the apron through table, etc. Turned into more of a TLC by the end. R-Truth's hot tag bit was hilarious and him getting the final moment was well done."
[7.0] "A very fun match with some cool spots. Not a big fan of the results, though: Theory and Waller were, likely, the worst outcome in this. It was cool seeing R-Truth getting his WrestleMania moment, but I can't say that I totally agree with this decision too. (***3/4)."
[8.0] "Extremly funny. Ladders and tables were broken with a lot of nice spots. JD took an incredible fall, but my favourite spot was the DDT by Johnny Gargano. He and Ciampa had fun recreating DX outfits and finishers. Everyone did a little and in the end they compsed a great mosaic. The first win was too fast though. And an emotional WM moment with Truth (the most over guy in this contest) finally winning at he Grandest Stage of Them All."
[7.0] "This was a really fun match. Thought Theory and Waller won the first titles a little too quickly. R-Truth was hilarious in this match and nobody came out of it looking bad with everyone getting their moment to shine on the grandest stage of them all."
