Atsushi Onita & To-y vs. Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato

[2.0] "This is the kinda garbage AJPW desperately needs to eradicate from their promotion to be taken seriously. Like who wants to see this in 2024? The piledriver on the table and the cheesy exploding bat shots were enjoyable to some extant which helped this avoid being a 1, but the rest of it was awful. Why were Tamura & Sato in suits? ! They clearly couldn't care less about this match and Onita and his partner were hardly going all out either. *"

[2.0] "One of these things dosnt belong. And not only does it not belong, it drags the rest down to maybe the worst match of their careers. At least they took the titles off Onita here."

[3.0] "Just a flat-out bad match, but Onita style. A loveable trainwreck, if you will. Sato and Dan were fighting in suits for some reason, 80% of this match was a sloppy brawl, there were exploding bats, and so much more. 1.5 Stars."

[2.0] "Amazingly not the worst Onita AJPW exploding barb wire baseball bat match this year. At least his latest reign of terror is over"

[3.0] "Bad match but as old man Onita matches often are, watchable because it's such a car wreck. The table piledriver spot was scary, the table was barely grazed. The exploding bat spots are enjoyable enough stuff. Good to see the belts off Onita."

[4.0] "One way to bring a unique flavor to a title match on a big show is to wear different ring gear, because Sato and Tamura were wrestling in suits for some reason, which to me carried the first half - it created anticipation for something unexpected. The payoff wasn't anything different though - some brawling and a bunch of explosions that Toy took like a champ, as Onita just can't go at all. Bonus point for a title change that's been long overdue."

[2.0] "I didn't like this match at all, very slow and poor moments doesn't help the match. Match like that are difficult to match because the Wrestling is Bad but it's not'even a good deathmath so ..."

[1.0] "And here is AJPW at its worst. Humoring washed up talent who have nothing to offer. Onita can't work, his charisma is gone, and his ideas are stupid. Worse than that, this match had 3 functional wrestlers in their prime who could have provided some entertainment to cover up Onita's limitations, but instead it's immediate crowd brawling and the boredom begins. I will give one point for the finish. It was so stupid it actually made me chuckle, and they got the belts on actual wrestlers."
