[9.0] "Best way to finish a legendary feud at AEW. And I am not kidding, this is for sure a Top 5 feuds at AEW history in terms of quality, creative and interesting. If Cope's legacy at AEW will be remind just because of that, it will be worth. The weapons here looked great, and due for the higher age between those wrestlers, each spot look dangerous, even a slow Crossbody into the table. Even the usage of Spike, that at first looked basically impossible, but they manage to do in a cool way. The interferences was bad, but if you saw the feud you for sure expected that."

The brawl on the crowd with the hockey jerseys popped me a lot, it created a characterization that distinguishes to other common I Quit matches. I was going to give it a 9 but I hated almost every single interference, just the Mother Wayne one was good, but fortunately the match was still amazing nonetheless. The Spike ending was very creative and it was nice that Adam climbed his way through the championship. Christian was Top 5 Champs in AEW history."

It felt like a violent blood feud from bell to bell. Copeland repeatedly kicking Christian in the groin while he was handcuffed was probably the most ridiculous put perfectly reasonable spot I've ever seen."

The stuff they did with the Bruins/Maple Leafs jerseys was amazing, created an all-timer moment. Considering it's an I Quit match it had some limitations, and wasn't the best match of them, maybe even the worst, but it was a satisfying conclusion, with Cope finally beating him and winning the title, that Christian absolutely saved and made prestigious again - {***3/4}"

I enjoy a lot of what Cage has been doing in this current run, but Copeland winning was the right call with how everything has played out prior. I do wish the finish was a little more impactful, but I still had a good time with this and that's what this is all about."

[9.0] "This was a fantastic brawl that became the culmination of this enticing rivalry. Sharing a rich depth of history, I expect a good battle in these men's worst days, but the stipulation loosened them up to explore the arena, creating memories in the initial stage already. Their incredible chemistry as opponents was on point during the midpoint of the match where Christian gained the upper hand. The odds from Wayne & Killswitch nullified by Garcia & Menard were cool and the utilization of Spike was creatively ridiculous. I had to shut my eyes for the constant low blows since it felt overkill. Adam's victory was written all over this match ever since it was announced, and I'm happy to see him as a champion in this generation. 4.5 out of 5 stars!"

Hes my favorite wrestler of all time, and him and Christian brought some awesome chemistry. From hockey references, to Christian going in the womens bathroom, which was hilarious. And the brutality built up at a great pace, and with how good Christian has been doing as a heel, the interference stuff in the end felt a bit more warranted than usual. What a ride for a TV main event. ****1/2"

I'm glad these two got to have this match in front of the Toronto crowd together. Sometimes wrestling can just be a feeling you feel from a match rather than anything that specifically happens."

I love the story note of this being exactly 40 years since Adam and Christian became friends. The Patriarchy come out to help Christian Cage but Adam Copeland has allies too as Daddy Magic and Killswitch attack. The Patriarchy (minus Mother Wayne) are all handcuffed to the turnbuckles and Spike hits and threatens Christian with Spike until he quits. Adam Copeland is a champion again for more than two seconds since 2011 and it's 2024."

[10.0] "A great ending to the trilogy. Adam has been my favorite wrestler for almost 14 years. And I was damn glad when he came back in 2020. A year earlier, he was brave enough to step out of his comfort zone and join the ARE with his best friend Christian to finally give fans their story that never happened due to Adam's horrific injury in 2011. Both the feud and the match turned out to be simply gorgeous. It really felt like retribution for all the bad words and actions on Christian's part. And I was glad that Daddy Magic was involved in all this. After all, Menard and Parker reminded me of an earlier and comedic version of Edge and Christian, I think that the guys looked up to them, and now Matt has the opportunity to share this ring with his idols. I enjoyed every second of the match, with the possible exception of Mama Wayne's interference. Unconditional ***** from me!"

This didn't feel like the end of the feud, even though a lot fell apart for the Patriarchy. Really excited to see the next turn Christian takes, cuz he's gonna have to regain the advantage somehow. And that speaks to how good this violent match was, that not only was it fun to watch but I'm invested in where the two go next, if not still against each other. This is fire stuff and somehow underrated a bit."

Overall it was a fitting end to this chapter. Ive been a big fan of Christian on this run but his character doesnt need the title and Copeland can hopefully put a younger guy over big in a few months. ***"

There were some good big moments, but in general it felt dragged, and a lack of drama only intensified this feeling. Spike using was pretty brutal."

I liked their previous match, but this one is not for me. The ending, where babyface leaves the heel enemy in the minority, and attacks him in the balls several times, doesn't cause me the reaction that it should, it didn't look like the case when the cliche should break (**)."

I loved how intense it was throughout the match. It's also very cool that they got to have this match in Canada. It was great seeing Christian continuing to escape Adam in the beginning of the match and then in the end after everyone in the patriarchy is down Adam finally gets the better of Christian. A great ending to his phenomenal TNT title reign. I'm super happy that these two could have a substantial feud before they both hang it up. Fingers crossed we get a Tag Team run from them at the end as well."

The middle of the match kinda dragged, though, and despite the blood, it never really felt like Copeland was in real trouble of bucking the stipulation's traditional outcome. The overbooked shenanigangle was pretty cheesy and took a lot of heat out of the building ***1/4"

An intense blood feud with years of story told in a concise 25 minutes that went all over the arena with nary a wasted moment in sight, The Patriarch getting Spike to the downstairs managed to make me cringe and I'm a girl. Also Adam finally getting revenge for that bullshit ending at World's End and winning the TNT title for realsies this time in his hometown was absolute perfection. Now AEW, I am begging you, PLEASE don't fuck up Adam's reign."

Thought there were plenty of fun spots in this match, Christian's dive through the table, Copeland's dive off the ladder, and the hockey references were very fun (even with me never watching hockey in my life). The finish was perfect as well, with The Patriarchy finally getting comeuppance for their actions and being humiliated by the Babyfaces. Liked the involvement of DG and Daddy Magic in the finish as well."

I don't love that the finish technically happened on Rampage, but it makes sense to keep people watching, since they were airing back to back. I do like that someone finally won an I Quit Match with repeated blows to the dick."

The bat was cool but perhaps the ending felt a bit cheap. ****1/2"

Chris wrote on 22.03.2024:
[6.0] "I don't like I Quit matches and whilst this one had good heat and some good spots it was ultimately overbooked. Too many ideas forced in and a very tame usage of TLC, which is understandable given the health and age of Cage and Copeland but probably better to avoid this type of match in that case ***1/4"
MaveDeltzer wrote on 22.03.2024:
[6.0] "Before this was over I was kind of glad it hadn't been that scheduled PPV match because this match underperformed compared to their previous match and would have felt especially underwhelming on a PPV anywhere outside of the opening bout. Crowd brawling is generally the worst part of many hardcore matches in AEW, though I still think that the possibility of a fight spilling out right onto your lap is a great part of pro wrestling. It's just much harder to do well when the seats are nailed down and the fans aren't running for their lives. Things also got a little too cute in places considering the rivalry. Once they got to the ring the did a pretty good job of making the weapons matter even if they felt a little underutilised. This won't be a problem for everyone but the feed cut before the ending on Triller/Fite, and Rampage started with Copeland on the apron, already victorious. I don't factor that hiccup into my score but the fact that I haven't made any kind of effort to see what I missed might be more indicative of the match. It wasn't bad. I think I just hoped for and expected more."
Mizzle Assault Ant wrote on 22.03.2024:
[9.0] "The culmination to this lengthy feud at least, can't blame them for stretching it out to a big match in Toronto and the crowd reaction speaks for itself here. I marginally enjoyed their previous match more, it was more violent in the end I think while this threw in a few comedic elements, but this one worked very well overall too I think. Brawling out to the women's bathroom is a nice throwback, and there were certainly some brutal spots and a nice bit of blood appropriate for this kind of grudge match. The interference was inevitable and I didn't mind it myself, though I thought the process of cuffing everyone to the ropes was a bit cumbersome in the final stretch. Good to know Christian will sacrifice his balls but not his face to the weapon Edge borrowed from Abyss. All in all, super fun finale, though part of me wishes Christian had somehow held onto the title."
Legacy wrote on 22.03.2024:
[7.0] "A generic start with them brawling all over the arena. It gets more interesting after the initial ladder spot. Does feel a tad too one-sided at times. But credit to both guys, they kept it interesting and well paced. Christian spent much of the match in the defense. Copeland did a good job dishing it out. It's still curious to see these guys have this type of match at their ages. The turnbuckle/corner spot with multiple low-blows felt wee too much. Luckily, for these guys, interferences didn't hurt the match as such. A good brawl. Impressive."

[8.0] "Edge is typically good in these kind of matches, and Christian is a joy to watch as heel getting his ass beat so this was great. They spent a lot of the time brawling here, and the spot where they did the hockey fight with the hockey jerseys on was great. The late 90s- early 00s WWF booking of this was fun and led to the heels eventually getting cuffed to the turnbuckles. If youre gonna make someone quit why not kick em in the nuts a bunch of times and then threaten to hit em with a spike in the head.****"

[8.0] "[4.5*] This match was really exciting to watch, even before the match started the crowd was already crazy and hot for the duel that the eternal friends and now blood rivals would have. Adam started attacking Christian with everything in the crowd, the moment when Christian and Adam dressed up in Canadian NHL team shirts and started hitting each other was incredible. Adam attacking Christian on the stairs was brutal. All the interference and the build-up to the end of the match was excellent, an incredible match that will undoubtedly become a classic due to the importance it had in the careers of two legendary wrestlers like Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Insanely fun match and a real banger."

[8.0] "A really great match and feud ender for Cope and Christian. Crazy how both of these guys are still putting in performances of this caliber at a combined age of 100 years old. Loved the brawling at the start, but the real good stuff here took place after the brawling and the first commercial break. Great use of weapons, including a brutal backwards pull down slam thing on ladder from Cope to Christian, and Christian's mad dive onto Cope to the outside through a table which was one of the best spots of the match for me. As it went on, it did become quite overbooked, with all members of the Patriarchy coming out to help Christian and Garcia and Daddy Magic coming out to help Copeland, but I was that good kind of Attitude Era overbooking and added a lot to the match and made it feel like more of a storyline ender. The ending also ruled too, with Cope hitting Christian with a bunch of low blows, followed by one with Spike before going to hit Christian in the head with Spike only for Christian to say I quit before he could. Although not as good as their match in December I thought this was still really fun and a great way to end their feud. ****1/4"

[9.0] "What a great way to end their feud! This third chapter probably ends up my favorite one of the three. First of all, the crowd. Man, the crowd was so into this match and it definitely elevated it. Copeland and Christian, then, did everything to make this as memorable as possible. The initial brawl into the crowd was super entertaining and the "women's bathroom's" sketch was really funny. As they moved towards the ring they started to use more weapons, mostly tables, ladder and chairs (TLC). Christian's dive on the table was one of the higlights of the match. Copeland got even busted open. Christian tried to walk out but Copeland catapaulted him off the stage, really cool spot. Then Mother Wayne and the Patriarchy got involved in Christian's favor. However Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard evend the odds for Copeland, who hit a crazy dive off a ladder to take out Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus. The ending with the multiple handcuffs might've been a bit overbooked but I really enjoyed it. It made sense for Garcia and Menard to help Copeland and it was nice to see the Patriarchy getting what they deserved. The multiple low blows in the corner were vicious and the "spike" low blow was even better. The ending was also nice with Christian surrending to prevent further damages. 9/10 - 4.5*/5*"

The interference made sense with a lot of the ongoing of the feud but the limitations of that and I Quit rules did bring the match down for me a bit. Still by far the highlight of the show to this point. 7.5-8"
