[4.0] "This was worked like a David/Goliath situation as Hirai is far bigger and taller than Naniwa, forcing them to exploit their separate advantages to get ahead; Hirai had the strength while Naniwa had the speed. Naniwa is entertaining with his goofy comedy while not detracting from the stakes of the match itself; helps he's an actual good wrestler as well when he wants to be with some smooth transitions and smart counters. Hirai as per most Tenryu trainees mostly wrestled this as a Tenryu-lite worker, only without the great strikes, charisma, timing, presence, versatility or much else that made his heavy-set style work, so you mostly have a fairly bland performance here as he just does moves without any attempt to get big impact out of them and generally feels like he's going through the motions here. Only real highlight was the commentary confusing the finish as Hirai does a Tiger Driver for the pinfall and they call it a "Tiger Suplex" before quickly correcting themselves. Real average stuff here only made fine by Naniwa being silly and trying to get some flavour out of a fairly flavourless opponent."
