Brian Pillman vs. Sting

[6.0] "Very good 5 minute match here. Brian was such a good shitbag heel. Feigning injuries, trying to walk to the back, arguing with the ref, acting cocky as hell. One of my all time favorite workers, and very fun to watch. ***1/4"

[7.0] "Pillman and Sting are a great pairing. The Stinger overpowers and outwrestles Pillman, who sells it really well; both physically and with his frustration. The barricade bit, with the heel knocking it and the face putting it back where it belongs, is such a great summary of both men's character. Just solid as nails and very concise, which I always appreciate."

[5.0] "A pleasant 5-minute match where two young talents met. A good confrontation between the crazy, unscrupulous Pillman and the one of the main babyfaces of the company, although the timing was certainly disappointing, and they did not get the opportunity to hold a longer and more meaningful match in the future due to Pillman's imminent leaving WCW."

[6.0] "This was a quick, fun little match. Pillman played his madness card knocking over the front barricade inside the Orlando arena, which was definitely not typical for the audiences you got at these shows. It was so far out of the ordinary that Sting got out of the ring to help security put it back up & reassure the kids watching that everything was alright. One aspect that stands out as the match progresses is how much bigger Sting is than Pillman. He even sets him up on the top turnbuckle like a child in a move Big Show often does. It was pretty good finish with Sting using Pillman's "high flying" against him. This shows the ring presence & knowledge that Sting has when Pillman was not even his original opponent for this match. He was supposed to fight Merro, so it's unlikely he was scouting Pillman other the ongoing feud he always had with the Horsemen. Sting wins on the final score card with the clean pin 4.44 - 2.13."

[5.0] "Pretty good short match, good heel stuff from Flyin' Bryan but unfortunately, a quick finish that let us want to have a REAL and LONGER match between the two.. but it wasn't the plan with Flair wanting to recruit Sting as his tag team partner against Pillman & Anderson.."
