[6.0] "Anna Jay has really improved over the last couple of months (and I don't think it's just because they've been putting her in the ring with better performers). Her striking has improved and she seems to telegraph fewer of the sequences (which was more of an issue earlier). There's still room to improve in the urgency and mat grappling departments, but she's proof that investing TV time in someone can really pay off. She even added an inverted backbreaker that might be something she can add to her arsenal in the future. On Mariah May, I thought the formatting of the match did her few favors (e.g., the finish arrived a little too abruptly, too many sequences relied on protracted gaps between moves), but she's clearly more athletic/agile than many in the women's division and her knee strikes look awesome. She also does a great job with crowd engagement."

[5.0] "This was solid. Anna Jay is now the go-to job girl it looks like which sucks. Not because she deserves to be protected but they designate one person to job ad infinitum and it makes all the matches feel unimportant."
[8.0] "Some nice moments from Anna that show improvement like locking in the Queenslayer while riding on top of Mariah's back, while Mariah May put up a spectacular showing like usual. Her character work was excellent, her manuevers were impressive, and her strikes felt palpable. Spots like making it seem like Anna Jay escaped her grip during the backslide only to have that lead into her kneeing Anna in the face, and the handstand hurricanrana in particular being the highlights. Ultimately, like all of Mariah's AEW matches so far, it's held back by just being too short to have too many stand out moments. But these two did a really good job working with what they had. So I'll be generous and give it an 8."

Honestly, put Anna on a short Stardom run like Mariah had and she'd probably come back pretty decent. I just wish Mariah was getting more in ring reps. We've already seen that she's got her character down with the segments she's in every week, now we need to see more of why we should care about her as an in ring talent because I think she has the potential to be TBS champ within the next ~6 months or so"
