[6.0] "This was a solid match. Cody had beaten Christopher Daniels for the ROH Championship at Best in the World and since then The Addiction had turned heel. After Daniels lost a rematch, his partner Frankie Kazarian would win a battle royal to be the new #1 contender. This was actually getting to be a fun match and I would have rated it higher, especially since it seemed that they had some good chemistry. The problem was the last couple of minutes which just became overbooked nonsense. Daniels came out to try to interfere, but then Cody's fellow Bullet Club member Marty Scurll came out to fend off Daniels. It didn't initially work as Daniels managed to get hit Cody with the title belt when the referee was knocked down. Then Scurll pushed Kazarian off the top turnbuckle and attacked Daniels again, which found Daniels getting into the ring and managing get physical with Cody, if only for a brief moment. How none of this caused a disqualification is unknown to be. Cody managed to hit Kazarian with the Cross Rhodes for the win soon after this. The shenanigans at the end was completely unnecessary, but the work before was pretty good. ***"
[7.0] "An improvement upon their first match and one of Codys better title defenses to this point. It got a little overbooked in the latter stages but the work prior was good. 6.5-7"
