[9.0] "A really great match between both men with crazy fun action and spots throughout with all the props and weapons they used and their psychology was also a highlight."
[4.0] "Really weak match for me. I have not watched NXT since the beginning of the Wednesday Night Wars - I loved the brand during the Black and Gold days but it had changed too much for me - and this match was recommended to me by my little brother. I can get why. A fun little NO DQ to start off his list of recs but to me the whole story around this and the characters involved were so weak that I never bought into it at all. It just seemed so cheesy and lame. Still, some great spots in here. The table spot really stood out."
[7.0] "***1/2 (07/10) Very fun hardcore match. Due to WWE's limitations, this could only get so violent before they decided to pull the punches in the violence measure. This turned out more fun than I expected."
[7.0] "Dijak had another very good match on his run in NXT and honestly, he should've stayed in NXT and shouldn't have been called up. I personally really enjoyed this match and thought it was really fun. The stipulation honestly really helped this match and I was really worried that this match would've sucked. However I honestly think it was really good."
[4.0] "This is a bad match. The action is not great and the big spots just dont work. Dijak is fine I guess, but I am not a fan whatsoever of Gacys character work. This was my first time watching a match of his so I wasnt familiar, but the whole smiling thing and posing on the corner does not work for me at all."
[7.0] "[3.25*] This match was very good, although I felt it was a little bit more childish and produced for the younger fans. No, I am not talking about blood, deathmatches and these stuff, but if you compare this one with Dijak himself against Ilja Dragunov, it was a lot softer and more PG. It was still very damn good and had some nice spots. I had a lot of fun watching it!"
[5.0] "This was so badly put together, terrible awkward flow and dumb spots/gimmicks that are silly rather than entertaining. Only thing good in this a few of the high spots, primarily dijak getting thrown into the table but in general it wasnt that interesting"
[4.0] "The work in the match was OK. I like Dijak and Joe Gacy's wrestling is fine but his character is terrible and made for some cringe moments in the match. There was a little more imagination here than a usual WWE no DQ match but the stuff they tried came off as wacky and staged because of the unrealistic character work. **1/4."
[8.0] "A fun stipulation match for the show. I haven't always been the biggest fan of Gacy's in-ring work, but he's far from a bad wrestler and I think this was his best match in NXT to date. I'm really glad Dijak finally got a big win as well, as he's been consistently great in this current NXT run."
[5.0] "Death matches aren't really my kinda thing although there are a few I enjoy (usually featuring Cactus Jack and/or Terry Funk) this attempt didn't really leave much of an impression on me. I hadn't watched a match with either wrestler before but I think it is unlikely I will be a fan of Gacey any time soon"
[7.0] "As much as I love Dijak, Gacy impressed more and probably gave his best match in his NXT run. The weapons were used on point, creating a wacky atmosphere that suited Gacy's character. DIjak was in his element, thriving in atmospheres like this, hence being the unsung hero of the brand. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"
[7.0] "Good match. I'm not a huge fan of neither of those fuys, but they had a entertaining match. Gacy is a weird fella, but have potential to be the top heel in NXT. (***1/2)."
[10.0] "Before the match, I like to highlight that I am glad that WWE still maintains that essence of Joe Gacy that he brings from the violent industry like CZW was in its good times, since watching CZW matches at that time, even the clothes he wore For this match, it is similar, even the character style; that brutality and realism, that rudeness, what a beautiful beginning; Let's see, they are not studs, nor glass, nor anything lethal, but those toys, some of them are sharp and if they are painful to the skin, they are, so I accept it; What a magnificent Uranage from Joe Gacy, totally perfect in his execution; Dijakovic did a great job selling that drop to the toy table; This match is entertaining, fun, funny, violent, extreme, wonderful, well-executed movements, an almost realistic aggressive style, simply wonderful, these two wrestlers are simply the true WWE champions in their entirety, what a great match, I give ten points because The platform doesn't let me put eleven or twelve."
[6.0] "Hi. It me, a Joe Gacy enjoyer (shocker, right? ). And I love salty "I hate my kids and wouldn't put them over either" Twitter-s***posting Dijak... But a lot of this match felt like nothing. Most of us know Gacy's past in the deathmatch scene, I'm sure. For me, he suffers from "Ambrose-itis". Where you can't be your character because of limitations on what you're able to do. You can *try* to have a hardcore match in this climate of WWE, but it's probably gonna fall flat. And this never really feels like it gets going in my eyes. A couple of big spots and sequences, and I love Gacy wrapping duct tape around Dijak's eyes, which plays into Dijak not being able to secure the win at the time due to having to feel around for Gacy's body after a Feast Your Eyes (the irony is not lost on me). But other than those couple of spots, this match just kinda stalls. Repeatedly. Gacy should just play it out, and pull a Mox, and seek matches elsewhere in the future. Because he is severely stifled in WWE."
[8.0] "Was dreading this going in, was thinking it was just gonna be a bunch of lame spots with no psychology. Wasnt that at all, the match told a fun as hell story with brutaliser Dijak going up against an absolute freak of nature who gets off on pain. Was super entertained by Gacys Mick Foley act and loved the spot where he taped up Dijaks eyes and hung from the ropes like Spider-Man lmao. Seeing people complain about the lack of selling but it fits his character. Only real complaint was how rushed the ending seemed."
[4.0] "A no DQ match that ended with a wrestler simply hitting his finisher in the middle of the ring. Lots of blown spots. Way too gimmicky (as in leaning into Joe Gacy being a weirdo) Just not that interesting of a match here. At least it was kinda entertaining just how dumb it was and how oever the top Joe Gacy was but didn't really get much from the wrestling in this match personally."
[7.0] "[3.75*] This match was a lot of fun, it had some great spots, Dijak and Gacy came with the mission of putting on an extreme match and in a way they fulfilled their objective. I liked the end of the match and how insane Joe Gacy was before, during and after the match."
[4.0] "This was a pretty shitty plunder match and even worse middle school theater . Dijak is WOEFULLY overrated. He talks too much, tries to emote brutality but doesn't deliver, and is so melodramatic in his delivery that it comes off as absurd. Gacy is attempting to do a Cactus Jack in ECW and is really poor at it, frankly. Where's the believability in the execution? There might be some potential there (this is a developmental territory after all) but it's not anywhere near where it needs to be."
[2.0] "Just hit a move, do a spot action and there was absolutely no connection between those. Toys on the table did not do any good to thr match and finally when Dijak hit table, got up and hit his move just like after 10 seconds. Scotch tape spots gave nothing but laughter to me. Gacy taped the guys eyes, left the ring and Dijak just acted like a blind person until he returned like it's blindfold match and being able to see is forbidden. And when Gacy tried to hit his finisher I think Dijak forgot that show was live cause he raised his head very casually to see Gacy coming, hit his a little complicated finisher with no eyes and tried to pin the floor. The whole match was just idiotic, unrealistic and very comedy-like. If I saw this match in a late night show back in 80's I could've understand but for a match happening in the developmental brand of a major company this was unacceptable. Giving my only two points to the crowd which eas able to keep the match alive a little bit and some good moves."
[6.0] "A solid but unremarkable No dq match. I can appreciate some of the spots in this match like the table spot that dijak took although the toys being added made it too goofy for my liking. The tape spot was probably my favorite the was unique. Big fan of dijak but I had never watched any of Joe gacys work before this match and honestly I wasnt too impressed. While in ring work wasnt bad I wasnt a fan of his mannerisms and the way he acted in the ring. Came off too much like bray Wyatt. Decent match 3.5/5"
[8.0] "[4.0*] That no DQ, beautiful, it had emotion and story from beginning to end, in which Dijak at all times used everything to take down Gacy and the crazy man was always getting up and showing his resilience, the only part of this match that I What I didn't like was the spot on the table and the chokeslam from the chair, because right after Gacy broke Dijak on the table, he got up and chokeslamted Joe on the chair in less than 30 seconds, selling went to space in this sequence"
[9.0] "Really fun match. Never seen Gacy until this match, and I gotta say, he's the perfect crazy guy. Lot of fun spots like the toys on the table, trash can on Gacys head and Dijak blind with tape on his eyes. Good stuff."
[8.0] "I wasn't a fan of Gacy before this match, but his goofiness was surprisingly entertaining. Dijak was ruthless and played a good straight man for the antics."
[8.0] "This was a fun hardcore match I think. I really liked the table spot, and Gacy smiling the whole time was a good touch. Dijak winning seems like the right call as he's quite good."
"The way that the match lead it's way was very rushed. Without the construction this match tells the story and accomplish the entertainment ment for a match stipulation like this."
[5.0] "I don't like when NXT goes "hardcore" most of the time and this wasn't really different, not the absolute worse match I've seen and not even the worst on the card or anywhere close, but it didn't stand out as spectacular in any way. Solidly a 5/10 for me."
[5.0] "While not bad, this wasnt great. Barely any selling in this one for some reason, alot of the hardcore spots were uninteresting and bland. The Table covered in toys spot was cool but also dumb so they dont even really win on that one. I do like Djack but this is some of his worst PPV work so far."
[9.0] "Really fun stuff here, Dijak is I think easily the most underrated wrestler within NXT for a LONG time. He's been given moments here and there and he never ever disappoints. Great stuff from Gacy too, I loved what I saw here. 8.5/10"
[7.0] "There was absolutely no doubt that these two could show a worthy fight. Some of the most underrated members of the yellow brand that lack adequate booking. The fight was cheerful and interesting. There were spots, including unusual ones, such as with a trash can and Gacy inside flying into Dijak. The only thing is that I somehow didnt have enough time, although the match lasted 11 minutes, which is a decent timing."
[6.0] "Too silly for me. I shouldn't be surprised, because it's NXT. Some spots looked cool, but nothing more than that. Glad Dijak finally got a big win though"
[8.0] "It was a really fun match, I thought it was kind of silly at points but it still achieved its goal. A fun styled no DQ. The table spot was gnarly though."
[9.0] "This was a really fun match and both men work great together I like the duct tape spot and thought that it was kinda unique I really thought this was a really fun match. ****1/2"
[4.0] "NXT hardcore matches are always the most generic, soulless hardcore matches around, and this was no exception. It was actually somewhat decent at the start, given Dijak showed off a few of his cool powerhouse attacks and Gacy showed off some nicely impactful attacks of his own, but soon the match became fixated on trademark hokey NXT 'acting' and the most generic weapon and prop spots you've ever seen. I've actually been impressed by Gacy in the past, but here he was just wayyyy too over the top with his nonstop goofy expressions and mannerisms. I get that he was meant to come off as 'creepy', but he really came across like a clown -- an immature child's idea of what being 'creepy' is, and I couldn't take him at all seriously because of that. It also didn't help that, as I mentioned, none of the hardcore spots themselves were remotely interesting. I'm not a big hardcore-match fan to begin with, but I can at least appreciate when hardcore matches feature attacks and spots that look genuinely painful or are somewhat creative. Instead, we got the classic, done-to-death spots with the usual stuff like trash cans, kendo sticks, tables, chairs, lego/small toys, etc. I guess the taping up of Dijak's eyes to blind him was pretty creative, but then it was equal parts stupid, being expected to believe he could actually hit offence on Gacy at the time while supposedly blind, and embarrassing, as he then looked like a clown when desperately scrambling in a panic to find Gacy's body on the mat to go for a cover, so even there the otherwise positive of this creativity was wasted. What was even worse was that quite a few of their big spots involving the table, the trash can, and probably also the chair weren't hit cleanly enough (or even at all) to look truly damaging. For the most part all their big weapon/prop spots just resembled very controlled movie stunts, sans the movie smoke and mirrors to make them look convincing or impressive in some other way. Gacy choosing to smile blissfully while still lying on the mat after being pinned was embarrassing. Somehow the guy is in control of his body and his pain tolerance to do that right as he loses a big supposed 'battle' of w match, yet he couldn't survive the actual attack that took him out? Way to just no-sell the finish. Well, it's not like this match would've benefitted much at all from a proper finish anyways. **1/4"
[7.0] "It was very good but too short for me. Underwhelming ending right when I fought "wow this match could be really cool". Both guys should be on main roster."
[8.0] "A very solid match. Dijak always deliver in these no-Dq hard-hitting match - even if I don't enjoy his overacting sometimes - and Gacy did some good character work. The match was short but packed with action and well thought spots : the Gacy in the bin spot (even if it kinda end up being funny), the "you can't see him" and of of course that big splash through the table that looked really nasty. 8/10."
[8.0] "Second only to the main event, for a moment it seemed like I saw Bray Wyatt. dijax is so good at the no rules prop race, brings his character to life perfectly"
[8.0] "Dijak and Gacy took full advantage of the no DQ stipulation, essentially turning this into a hardcore match. A lot of creativity on display here as these two beat hell out of each other. Dijak crashing through a table covered in toys, Gacy covering Dijak's eyes with duct tape to attack him with kendo sticks, Dijak not being able to pin Gacy because he couldn't see was a clever and funny spot. Dijak got the win and Gacy in a good character moment was smiling after the match despite all of the punishment he took. Really good, fun match. 8/10"
[7.0] "Nothing all too exciting but a pretty fun short NODQ match.I like the mix of actual good wrestling and weapon stuff. The duct tape part was very funny and I liked that a lot, as well as Dijak's bump through the table on the outside but besides those 2 the weapons stuff didn't really phase me much. WWE has kinda overused kendo sticks to the point they're rarely effective to me anymore. Overall this was fun although maybe could've been slightly longer and told more of an interesting story."
[7.0] "This was good fun too. The toys on the table and subsequent bump was sick. I loved Gacy giving Dijak the duct tape blindfold. He was still able to hit his finisher but he couldn't find Gacy for the cover as Gacy rolls out of the ring. Great spot. Gacy continued to smile despite taking a beating from Dijak. Cool Bray Wyatt-style spot as Gacy is hanging in the tree of woe and grinning at Dijak. Fun hardcore match."
[9.0] "This was honestly my favorite match other than Dragunov vs Trick , this reminded me of Gacy's czw days , and hardcore wrestling matches he used to have , Dijak was also good in this match , I didn't expect Gacy to lose , but Dijak winning makes sense , Dijak needs a win after he's literally been losing almost every match he's in , actually Gacy losing makes sense because then Gacy can develop a even more psychotic character . Gacy needs to tap in to his past czw roots , and Dijak needs to be the guy we know he can be in that ring. This was a brutal match , and a good indicator of what these two men can do in the future."
[9.0] "Never seen a bad dijak match and I honestly believe I will never see a bad dijak match, for the time limit they killed the match, was a full sprint with pretty much every no dq spot you could think of. Dijak always gets the best out of his opponent and he made joe gacy look like a phyco star. I think this leads to a dijak and ilja rematch at stand and deliver with dijak winning and that being ilja's goodbye to nxt as he goes up to the main roster to dethrone gunther. I love dijak and now I will be following joe gacy feuds as he proved to me he is a worthy watch."
