[5.0] "The IYO SKY show, even if a more restrained cut of that presentation. This isn't intended as a show-stealer, after all, ultimately serving as a bridge to the presumed triple threat tag title match. SKY brings it to life nonetheless, playing the hits to great effect. There isn't much here beyond her performance, but a neat enough little tag match nonetheless. **1/2"
[5.0] "I wasn't super into this match already, and the Double Disqualification finish didn't really help that. I am interested to see how the Tag Team Triple Threat for the Women's Tag Team Titles plays out, but I just wish this match was better going into that."
[5.0] "Other than the horrible name for the faction, this match didn't have anything that interesting. I really deslike the "Number 1 Contenders match end in a no contest/DQ so it becomes a triple threat" trope."
[5.0] "It's sad that a match with so much backstory doesn't have the chance to properly tell everything it could and allow the wrestlers to have a banger because of that backstory being aware by the hardcore crowd that watched NXT back in the Black and Gold days. Zoey and Io being former Tag champions now turned enemies, Shayna and Kairi having a back and forth feud over the NXT Women's Title, even facing off at the only women's exclusive PPV ever, as well as being the finalists of the first Mae Young Classic; Io and Shayna being opponents in Stardom. Instead this was just a random tag match (despite being a #1 contenders match for a title no one cares about) that was mere decently worked aside from a couple of whack sequences and Shayna botching a knee strike. It also doesn't make sense how this is ruled a no contest when Isla attacked just Io to cause the finish. WWE logic striking again (** 1/2)"
[4.0] "The match had potential but never really got going. Not only that but it was given a no finish finish with the unholy union interfering and causing the "No contest" (Could have been a DQ win for Damage Ctrl). Felt like it set none of them up for success."
[6.0] "One of the better performances of Kairi Sane in the WWE. Damage CTRL works surprisingly well as babyfaces (maybe that is what helps Kairi right now in her matches? ). Fun enough match, in theory I have no problems with the finish. But Iyo was attacked first so they should have won by DQ and it is not a No Contest."
[4.0] "Got started off on the wrong foot and never really recovered. Bazler had an off night in the ring. It is fun to see the Sky Pirates having fun out there. The DQ finish was the wrong choice, leading to yet another Triple Threat tag title match. Just have one of these teams be the legit #1 contender and then let them cook. And then have the champs bum rush them after a pinfall. Overbooking silliness. The new name for the lady MMA faction is not good."
[5.0] "Decent match here, it was pretty active but nothing too special or anything, wish we could have seen Damage CTRL get the win and not see another useless triple threat match but it is what it is."
[4.0] "A match that not even Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane can save (who should be competing for the world championship), with some botches from Shayna and Zoey, added to the little interest generated by the tag team division due to its poor management."
[5.0] "Decent match. Damage CTRL are now babyfaces, finally something different for them, as the Sky Pirates reunite against the Pure Fusion Collective. What a name that is. Unholy Union were at ringside and that kind of gave away what would happen. IYO was the star of this match, the crowd was into her the most and she had the best performance. Kairi played her role well now that she can actually wrestle again. Things were going along just fine until Zoey accidentally kicked Alba. IYO hit the moonsault and was going for the pin, but Isla ran in to break it up for the no contest finish followed by the champs beating everyone up. This set up a triple threat for the titles next week. 5.5/10"
"Decent match, would've given it a 6/7 rating, but the No contest kind of ruined that. Iyo and Kairi as babyfaces are great, Kairi loves it and Iyo was over as all hell. A good match overall with Shayna and Zoey, all 4 have good chemistry, Shayna has faced both Iyo and Kairi so many times in the past 8 years it's crazy. But the Tag champs got involved and caused the No contest, so it'll be a three way for the titles."
[6.0] "Decent match between the two remaining healthy Damage CTRL members and the newly named Pure Fusion Collective, that was trending to be really good until The Unholy Union ran in for the DQ. IYO and Kairi flying and bumping around for Baszler and Stark was a lot of fun."
[6.0] "This match was honestly really solid up until the screwball finish, which didn't make much sense to me personally. I think this match would have benefitted from not having that attached to it. Still, the work was overall solid and it is clear that they need to stick with Zoey and Shayna being the main in-ring representatives of their new faction. Damage Control is expectedly getting over as babyfaces."
