[7.0] "If there's one thing Deonna is going to do, its bring out the best in her opponent. Decent match with some nice spots (one being outside Russian leg sweep against apron). Toni on commentary was gold as per usual too."
[4.0] "[1.75*] Taya is not a good worker and Deonna tried to carry her there. She is a very good submission wrestler and capable of making her moves seem deadly. This Taya and Johnny thing just sucks, in AEW or ROH (Dalton Castle deserves better). Toni was superb on commentary."
[4.0] "Another mediocre match by Deonna Purrazzo, but it's not her fault, Taya and Johnny whole thing seems loose and the match didn't had any meaning or storytelling, but it's been good to see her climbing those rankings to face Toni Storm, which by the way did great in commentary again - {*3/4}"
[3.0] "When you tell two workers "go out there and don't do anything TOO interesting, because it might distract from Toni Storm chewing scenery at the commentary table, " this is the exact match that results. Nothing that happened in the ring will stick in anyone's memory."
[5.0] "I didn't really have any strong feelings about this one. Purrazzo getting the win was expected, especially considering that I can't remember the last time Valkyrie wrestled on AEW television. I believe she's been wrestling in ROH, but I haven't made the time to keep up with it as much as I would like."
[7.0] "Very fun match between Deonna and Taya, improved upon by more antics of Toni Storm here on commentary. Deonna got to showcase how she can fight with an opponent she knows in Taya (worked together in Impact) and has a different skillset and stature than her other matches thus far. The submission ending was outstanding. 3.5/5"
[7.0] "This gets a seven mainly because of Toni storms absolute brilliance on the commentary booth. These ladies displayed a very good tv match, building momentum for Deonna heading towards Revolution. Love what I'm seeing so far."
[3.0] "A slightly below average match that moved at a glacial pace at points. Taya's not a great worker, and there was a lot of distractions from this match by focusing on Toni Storm's vamping at the announcing table. Deonna's good, but this wasn't exactly going on her great matches DVD."
[8.0] "I thought this was quite good, a really nice showcase for Deonna and a reminder that Taya can be quite fun despite her lack of push. Toni was a hoot on commentary, it may be silly but I also think it's the most fun she's been in ages. The final submission was SICK."
[6.0] "This was a decent match with nothing special until the finish. It was mostly there to give Toni Storm time on commentary. That finish was brutal, though."
[7.0] "Both ladies came out looking dressed to kill. They worked comfortably with each other and although the match is a bit slow, overall I found this worth the watch. Taya and Johnny have great energy together on screen, with him playing the arm candy, which I love. Crazy looking finish. Maybe too much focus on Toni though instead of the in ring action."
[7.0] "This was a measured match that dragged a bit in the middle, but overall I thought these women brought big attitude and had nice chemistry. A very striking looking finish as well. Toni on commentary is pretty spectacular and probably polarizing given that she's leaning into parody at this point. I find her super funny though."
[8.0] "The way that this was the second best match on the card and it has the lowest rating is messed up. Good wrestling, good story and character development for both ring workers and for Tony. I actually think this match is a 6.75 but I will give it a karmic 8"
[3.0] "[2.0*] I expected more from this match due to the chemistry that Deonna and Taya could have from their time together in TNA but the match was pretty boring with nothing exciting happening."
[5.0] "It is not surprising that Deonna showed a more or less lively match against the former member of Impact Wrestling. These two know each other firsthand, which was noticeable. Quite a good fight, which lacked a little vigor, because at times it really sagged. But overall I can say that I liked it. In addition, Deonna was finally able to show her strengths, and this is encouraging."
[3.0] "Didnt even properly see the finish on the screen because of the focus on Toni Storm. Ive not been a huge fan of this Toni storm gimmick, it seems a little one note to me and when alot of commentary is that it can get a bit much. The actual match was incredibly dull and I was never excited going in anyway."
[3.0] "A match that built off their history their shared history was always going to be a bit of an awkward sell, when you don't really reference it (seems like TNA and AEW aren't on the best terms lately? ) and their history of matches together is... bad. Very awkward match. Deonna couldn't make up for Taya's in ring deficiencies. Personally, I would've booked this like the Deeb match last week, where Deonna has become increasingly incensed by Toni's actions and aloofness, and she goes in and takes it out on her opponent in the slim hopes of awakening a bit of the old Toni. Ah well. We move on."
[7.0] "Man, the amount of negative Nancies lol this match was okay. Dont know why people are expecting a new talent to show out 1000% before the PPV. Both woman did great. Pacing was okay, but Im waiting for some one to match Deonna in the ring. Toni adds so much life to these matches as well by doing commentary."
[6.0] "For my tastes, this was Purrazzo's best match since she came to AEW. The finishing submission was brutal-looking (in a good way), and I like how they built to it within the match layout. I'm not sure I'm fully sold on Purrazzo being a true contender but these matches have done a nice job of establishing her submission work as deadly. Taya did well with her offense when she was given control of the match too. Nothing special that you need to go out of your way for, but a decent performance from both."
[6.0] "Fun little match, I enjoyed some spots, specially Deonna's winning with a submission, while looking at Toni Storm. Deonna's presentation is being great so far, I'm really looking foward to the match in Revolution. (***)."
[2.0] "This might have been the one of the worst womens matches AEW has had on TV in a long time. The action was painfully slow and all of the spots/strikes looked extremely scripted and still didnt even hit home, the only thing saving this from a 0 was the finish which was cool."
[6.0] "A solid match carried very heavily by Storm being genuinely hilarious on commentary. Deonna & Taya are both in that space where they're just good enough at everything to be worth having on your TV roster but as opponents they turn in a wholly average match from start to finish. Johnny on the outside injects some fun into the dynamic and there's some nice technical moments once or twice. I have to reiterate that Toni's comedy somehow never gets old though, I was losing it over "SOMEBODY HAS PISSED IN MY SEAT". ***"
