Konosuke Takeshita vs. Naruki Doi

[7.0] "Honestly loved that they just went out there and had an 11-minute sprint. Sometimes it's better that way. They wrestled a breakneck pace here and started the match hot on the outside. Takeshita hits a brainbuster on the floor early and Doi has to work on the back foot. Doi gets his cannonball reversed into a powerbomb sequence from Takeshita. The chemistry is really good and the strikes were on point. Mark out moments all over the place here. Takeshita has to hit the Jumbo knee without a kneepad to get the win. Just a ton of fun from start to finish. ***3/4"

[7.0] "[3.5*] This was awesome. Another under 15 minute banger for Takeshita, although I enjoyed the Darby one a very little bit more. Naruki did his job perfectly and his selling was on point. He spent the whole match putting Soup over and showing that he could not out strength him. The cannon ball into powerbomb spot was fantastic."

[7.0] "Takeshita laid it in during this match. Impactful elbow and knee strikes. Impressive performance from both of these guys."

[6.0] "Another match from Takeshita that has no filler, and is him beating up on someone more than noticeably smaller than him. Doi has a few good comeback spots, and he and Takeshita have a few really nice looking sequences, but this match could've used a bit more time just to let some of this big moments sink in. Still, at only 11 minutes, this is very much a good match. 3.25 Stars."

[9.0] "This was wrestled at a breakneck pace but had all of the counters and dramatic moments you would expect from two of the best Japanese wrestlers today."

[8.0] "[4.25*] This match was very good, from the first second Takeshita was dominant and forceful against Doi. Takeshita reversing a cannonball into a Powerbomb sequence was an incredible spot. Doi managed to respond well to Takeshita's attack, despite Konosuke's physical advantage, Doi reacted incredibly and attacked forcefully as well. The exchange between the two at the end was really good and the match, despite being short, was frantic and insane."

[6.0] "I believe Naruki Doi is a Dragongate guy, and from what little I've seen, the promotion prioritises athleticism and going at a fast pace. I've never been a fan of the style. The match leaves very little breathing room between moves, and the overuse of undeserved fighting spirit spots diminishes Takeshita's strong offence."

[8.0] "2024 - Just class, Jesus Doi can still go and fly around at insane speeds. I could watch Takeshita throw people around the ring all day. Lovely stuff. ****1/4"

[8.0] "Let's hope this ignites a trend for sub-15 minute bangers. I mean, is anyone else done with epics for sake of it? This felt like Doi was on desperation footing pretty much from the start, after eating that nasty brainbuster on the floor, and both guys were clearly going for the win the whole way ***3/4"

[8.0] "I love that Takeshita feels like an overwhelming force of nature every time he returns to DDT from AEW. Doi did a great job of playing off Takeshita's unrelenting intensity, which included an awesome brawl outside the ring to start the match."

[9.0] "Can't believe this match was only 11 minutes long, 'all killer, no filler' is a perfect description to what happened here - it started fast, hit all the right notes and made both wrestlers look strong while also reminding that there's a reason why Heavyweights are valued more than Junior Heavyweights in Puro. ****1/4+"

[9.0] "This was a dope match. Takeahita when given shit to do always looks like a top star. I will say I am getting tired of his thighs slap when he does his big forearm. Just lay that shit in and move on. Especially loved the part in this match when Takeshita does Doi's move and Doi kicks out at one, that ruled. ****1/4"
